We stayed there this July and it is the best place we have stayed in the 10 years we have been coming to Gulf Shores. The place was very neat and clean and close to the beach and highway 59. this was our first stay in gulf shores..first time renting a house, but i have to say this house was perfect for our family..with 2 kids and my inlaws, i was a great time..yes, we could walk to whatever we needed but we chose to drive to the beach, state park a few miles away..each day we found a new place to eat, at nite we stayed at the house, BBQ fresh shrimp, burgers, etc. kids played outside, adults hung out downstairs in the swings, chairs, and laughter..in the mornings i sat on the porch watching the sun come up listening to the birds, and coffee. i felt safe letting our kids play inside and outside..all in all i would absolutely love to return next year. the owners were fantastic, always answered any questions i would have. the entire vacation was perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our week at Meant to Bee.... First the location is great if you have teenagers. They can walk to all of the things that they want to do while you enjoy sitting under the beach house relaxing in the swing or sitting in the sun. At night outside, you can hear the music and sounds that you expect to hear while at the beach, but when inside you can drift of to dream land and hear nothing. We had a softball tournament the first 3 days of our week there, and the weather was freezing!! It was great to be able to come in to warm comfy home that was so welcoming! After ball was done, my husband and I spend most of our time at the house, there was no need to leave! It was really a treat to be able to do nothing!! Also, we had our four legged family with us as well. Great area for their walks. And the owner is AWESOME to work with. Any questions or concerns, he was right there to answer. This place has all that you need in a beach vacation! We will stay again!! Thank you Meant to Bee for a great stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
