  We stayed the last week of October at this house and it was fantastic! We traveled with our three children who are under three and it was a perfect fit for us. The house was well maintained and clean, the only bummer was the screen door was broken but other than that it more than met our expectations. It was a perfect location for us and we can't wait to rent again next October....my boys call it their Florida vacation house! The owners were very easy to work with and prompt with their responses, I can't say enough good things about our stay.

  We have now stayed in this rental two summers in a row and love it! We have three boys and we all consider this "our" beach house where we hope to be able to stay on all our future trips to San Destin. The house is very nicely furnished and is very "homey". We love that you don't have to listen to noisy neighbors, there is no long walk to your car, and the kids have a place to ride their bikes in front of the house. No rental home is going to perfect in all things, but this is THE nicest house you will find in this price range.

  I am very late in writing this review. Just lack of time. We stayed here a week during Thanksgiving & absolutely loved it. The pictures are exactly the way it looks. The screened in porch is wonderful, the carport, extra bikes and location made this a perfect vacation. We can't wait to visit again!!

  This place is wonderful! My wife and have taken our children since they were born and they think it is our house. They keep asking when we can go back to our beach house. If you have small kids, there is not a single place in Sandestin more fitted for your stay. Our children have plenty of room to play outside and we do not have to watch every step. They have a long way to go before getting out of eyesight. Tracey and her husband have been more than accomadating since our first stay. Everything is here for you....bicycles, grill, HUGE flat backyard, on the golf course, private pools, etc. It is wonderful and we will continue to come back, and we recommend you do as well!

  We loved our stay at San Destin (July 10 - 17, 2011) and we loved this house. It was so great after a day at the beach to come back to such a spacious house. Everything was very nice, clean and updated. We cooked and used the grill several nights and it was nice to have everything we needed to have a nice dinner at home. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch every morning while having our coffee and really liked the big shower in the 2nd bedroom -- very nice! We had two adults and three kids and it was very spacious for all of us. We also loved the bicycles and the walking track this is a great resort and a great house we will be back.

  We checked in to this property on a Sunday afternoon, my first impression was that it was very dark and appeared to be full of mold. The appearance of mold was just "antiquing" on the crown molding and baseboards in some of the rooms. The finish of the paint on this trim ruins the look of the condo. The condo was newly renovated...to a point. The kitchen was new with limestone countertops, very pretty, new appliances, but the ice maker in the refrigerator didn't work, there went the "welcome to Florida" cocktails! The bed linens were not "new" as was stated in the description. As a matter of fact, there were actually patches on the fitted sheet in the 2nd bedroom. The screened in porch was not sealed, so the mosquito's had a feast on our first night. The ironing board is stuck in the UP position, so it has to sit in the bedroom in order to be able to use the closet. The condo was NOT clean when we checked in. My daughter and I cleaned it. I was afraid to even try the washing machine. The owner was very unconcerned with my disapointment. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone.

  Owner response: We're so sorry to hear that your weeklong vacation at our villa was very disappointing. We'd like to address some of your concerns: Not everyone has the same taste in decor, most visitors to our home compliment on how beautiful the trim and paintwork look (trim is antiqued to match cabinetry, the paint finish is called Sand Wash). Our home is not designed to resemble some of the outdated "beachy" decorated condos with sailboats and seashells, it usually appeals to guests who prefer a more modern updated accommodation during their stay. Having said this, we believe our website photos capture the true look and feel of our home and are not at all misleading. Our villa was completely gutted and renovated in 2005 from floor to ceiling including all furniture, fixtures, and applicances with the one exception of a bath vanity, it was only painted and faucets replaced. No ice maker is provided, ice trays are provided. As your daughter confirmed, her concern for the use of an ice maker was to fill a cooler. Two new sets of bed linens for every bed were purchased in May '11, bath linens in Oct '10. The screened in patio walls are sealed, door is usally torn 1-2 times yearly by small children that cannot reach the handle on the door, it's repaired everytime we arrive, repaired again in July '11. Ironing board was closed and sitting in the laudry room when we arrived. Perhaps it's a little tricky to close sometimes. There would never be a need to leave an ironing board in your bedroom when you can easily store laundry items in the laundry room. The washing machine and dryer seem to be in perfect working order this week. Check-out time is 11:00am, Check-in time is 3:00pm, this allows the cleaning service 4 hours to clean all units that day. Often when you arrive earlier than check-in time a unit is not yet prepared for guests. A follow-up call to the cleaning service was offered and declined by the guest. As owners of a beautiful villa in a world class resort, we are always concerned about the maintenance and upkeep of our property when we are not in residence. However, we find that some guests are not always comfortable staying in a private home for vacation. All homes are unique in their location, decor, and amenities. Some vacationers are simply better served in familiar surroundings of hotels.

  We just got back from our vacation and the condo was beautiful, on a quiet cul-de-sac and so spacious! will definately will stay here again, Huge kitchen and dining room, lovely screened-in porch area...perfect location.
