Close to everything but also excluded and private. Visit historic old South Park in Fairplay just ten miles from the entrance. Animal sightings include deer, elk, bear, coyotes, eagles, rabbits, squirrels and birds galore and one mountain lion several years back.
The family or romantic getaway offers modern amenities with the charisma of western/mountain furnishings and a glass front wood stove.
Walls and ceilings done in Colorado Aspen wood, a cow skin on the hardwood floors and large arm chairs that sleep well at any time you desire while overlooking beautiful Aspen and Pine trees with the Rocky Mountains as the back drop.
Sunsets over the snow capped mountains from the Jacuzzi or barbecue patio table that will stop you in your tracks or swimsuit.
Practice on the elevated artificial 160 yard par 3 golf hole, throw some horseshoes or play some Bocci ball in the game pit. Fishing in nearby Jefferson Lake is not only a sport but a beautiful mountain lake setting like no other. Be prepared to leave fully re-charged and relaxed like no other vacation.

What a great time for my family to spend a few days at this wonderful cabin. The cabin has all that you will need ... and more. Had a blast with the golf. The jacuzzi was very relaxing and enjoyed by all. Enjoyable, relaxing and wonderful views. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My family and I spent the week at this cabin, and we had a truely memorable time. The views are breathtaking. The cabin sits up high on a hill, and that adds to the views and the solitude. Its great for wanting to get away from all. The cabin is relatively close to most everything to visit. Fairplay is close by and offers most everything you need to stock up. Breckenridge is close by, and Buena Vista is not too far. There is a horseriding ranch near by that is great! The only issues with the cabin is the driveway. Be prepared for a steep and bumpy climb. 4x4 or all wheel drive would work the best. It could be better maintained, but the views at the top are worth it. Lots of trails and out-croppings around the house for a little adventure. Make sure to wear jeans! We could not use the fire pit or the charcoal grill due to the burn ban. Definitely not the fault of the owner, just something to consider if coming. Check on the fire conditions! The gas grill worked great the first night, but stopped working the rest of the time. Wasted $20 swapping out a propane tank. Hot water does not last long in shower so don't linger. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any one looking for some seclusion and some remarkable views. Just prepare for the drive up the drive.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers.

I would highly recomend this cabin to anyone who is looking for a quiet secluded vacation. We stayed here a week and it was absolutely wonderful. We really liked the way it was fully furnished and had so many things to do around there. John was very helpful in answering all our questions and very helpful all the way around. I would stay there again if I had the opportunity! Thank you very much John!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is a wonderful and beautiful place to stay. The view from all directions is breath taking. Check out the morning sun rise; there aren't words to discribe it. Only negative thing is the hill we had to climb because we didn't have a 4 wheel drive to make it up. It's a long climb in the snow, but once there, it worth all the aches and time to get ones breath back. Loved it, and would recommend it to anyone. ScottieDid you find this review helpful?
