This luxury, five-bedroom, four-bath home, in an upscale neighborhood at the top of Point Loma, has not only a fantastic view but a panoramic one: of San Diego's skyline, Coronado Bay Bridge, San Diego Bay, and the Laguna Mountains. This view is visible from the dining room, living room, kitchen, family room, master bedroom, den, and the home's three decks.
In addition, the living room, dining room, and family room (all with fireplaces) open onto the largest of the three decks - a spacious place to barbecue, dine, lounge, and watch the boats on San Diego Bay. This set up makes a convenient place for entertaining, be it a business meeting, wedding party, family reunion, birthday, graduation, or anniversary celebration.
The kitchen has a new Jenn-Air range, two new microwaves, dishwasher, and all the small appliances you have at home: mixer, electric can opener, coffee maker, espresso machine, toaster, juicer, blender, food processor, and basic staples. The kitchen connects to the formal dining room and family room, and all three have a view of the city skyline, mountains, Coronado bridge, and bay.
The family room has its own deck, fireplace, cable TV, and DVD. It is conveniently next to the kitchen dining area and the home's largest deck - a great place for barbecuing and large-group activities.
The formal living room also has a fireplace, the spectacular cityscape view, and opens onto the spacious deck. The formal dining, with same view, adjoins.
The second-floor master suite has its own deck, a panoramic view of the bay, gas fireplace, California king-size bed, queen-size hide-a-bed, and large desk. The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub, separate shower with bench, two sinks, and large, cedar, walk-in closet.
A separate sleeping area upstairs has a double-size bed and sitting area with view - a perfect area for privacy.
There are three first-floor bedrooms: The first has a queen-size bed and bath/shower. A second bedroom a queen bedand large bay window. The third bedroom has a cal king bed. These bedrooms have California closets installed. There is another bathroom with a shower/tub between bedroom two and three.
A den off the formal living room has a view of the city and bay, a fireplace, a queen-size sofa bed, and double French doors - a great room for the kids.
This home also has a small yard off the main deck, a laundry room with washer and dryer, a barbecue, and plenty of parking.
This home is close to surfing, tide pools, a skateboard park, Cabrillo National Monument, Point Loma Lighthouse, deep-sea fishing and diving, sailing, kayaking, tennis, and golf.
Sea World, Mission Bay, and Sail Bay are just across the bridge. On the bay side of the point, pick up a deep-sea fishing charter in the old Portuguese fishing village of Point Loma, home to the San Diego Yacht Club and Humphrey's By the Bay on Shelter Island.
A short scenic drive from Point Loma around the harbor takes you to the airport, Harbor Island, and the downtown waterfront. On this beautiful bay, you can tour the Aircraft Carrier Museum, the Santa Maria replica, the old Star of India sailing ship, or take a harbor cruise. Stroll further down the bay past cruise ship docks to Seaport Village to eat, shop, or just have an espresso at Upstart Crow, a family-owned bookstore.
Continue south to the waterfront park for the outdoor concerts, or take the ferry across the bay to Coronado Island for lunch or dinner. Walk up Broadway to Horton Plaza, guaranteed a one-of-a-kind mall. A few blocks away is the Gas Lamp District with its great old architecture, sidewalk restaurants, and teeming nightlife.
If you take the Laurel exit off Harbor Drive and follow it up the steep hill to its end, you will be in Balboa Park, home of the San Diego Zoo, Old Globe Theater, Japanese Garden, Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, IMAX Theater, and eight museums. Presidio Park and Old Town, the first European settlement in California, are just two exits north of Laurel.

The Point Loma area is the place to stay when planning your next family vacation or family reunion in San Diego. Minutes from the airport, this beautiful Point Loma vacation home is close to favorite San Diego attractions such as Sea World, San Diego harbor, downtown San Diego, the Point Loma Lighthouse and the Pacific Ocean.
This San Diego home with spectacular views was the ideal setting for our Bear family gathering ---bright, light, spacious and relaxing with extra outdoor living spaces. The upstairs expansive master suite allowed us to get away from it all, with Jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and private deck with, of course, views of the city and harbor. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms on the main level provided privacy for all. And the large kitchen, eating area, comfortable family room and patio area provided an ideal gathering area.
Early-bears enjoyed the beautiful sunrises from this home and nighttime views of downtown San Diego were amazing. Also, on our evening walks, we loved watching the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean. A real highlight were the walks in this gorgeous Point Loma neighborhood, with Peet’s coffee our destination and Fresh & Easy market close by for groceries.
If you have friends or relatives attending Point Loma Nazarene University, you can easily walk from here to campus. I would highly recommend this home for year-round family gatherings, as well as a place for families of PLNU students to stay while visiting their student.

I cannot say enough great things about this home! We were just there on the weekend of the 18th for my daughters college graduation. We had 11 of us (all adults and a 15 year old) spending the night most of the time and then one night we had an additional 3 (we used 1 blow up bed that we brought - though I think they have one and 1 couch). My extended family is still raving about it and I'm sure we will all be talking about it for the rest of our lives!. Everyone was completely comfortable and estatic to be together in 1 place! My father who is 81 and needs a cane and his wife and my mother, 82, who uses a walker were all so comfortable and entirely happy that we could all come together in one place! It was fabulous! When my folks needed to take a midday nap to keep up, they just easily retired to their room and had complete privacy and quiet. The decks which look out over the San Diego Bay and downtown San Diego skyline were huge and comfortable. We didn't have any desire to go anywhere! My brother did take a walk down to the beach but he is literally the only that left for anything other then my daughters commencement ceremony. We had PF Changs cater a luncheon after the graduation and it was perfect! They delivered and we spread out the sandwich platters and the salads over the huge bar area for a buffet style lunch. The master suite was fabulous. We really got to get away, with our own private deck with the best view of all on the 2nd floor! the master bathroom was huge and I made it a point to take 2 baths in the wonderful jacuzzi bathtub :) We weren't sure if they had a sound system so we just bought a boom box/PA system at Costco for the ocassion and we all got to dance as the evening approached. We didn't even use the formal dining table. But we did use the sofa bed in the "piano room" which worked out perfectly for my bachelor brother. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed minus a coffee been grinder. I'm not sure if there was a blender or not! The kitchen was so large, looking through all of those cabinets was a chore (in a good way) !! I don't have anything but nice things to say about the people involved. The owners were responsive and helpful and the property manager was just as wonderful! We received a check to reimburse our entire security deposit within 2 weeks of checking out. I will definately keep this home in my mind for future group trips/vacations. I can't wait to do it again! Thank youRecommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a beautiful wedding reception here. The house is spacious and elegant, with views across the bay of the San Diego skyline. The owners were very helpful, and they gave us our full deposit back straight away with a kind note afterwards. I would strongly recommend this venue.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: We are always pleased to receive a positive review from our renters. My property manager and I work very hard to make sure everyone is accommodated to the best of our ability. We are constantly upgrading the property to make sure the Moanahouse is the best it can be. We recently replaced the hot water tank, fixed a noisy dryer , and replaced the mattresses on both sofa sleepers. We welcome any comments from our rents to help us improve this beautiful home.

Let me just say, my experience at the Moana House was everything I could have hoped for and more. We were getting married in Pt Loma (The Thursday Club- three blocks away) and wanted a roomy location for our rehearsal dinner, hanging out and lodging for family in from out of town. We really couldn't have asked for a better space. The place is huge! We had 40 people for the rehearsal dinner, set up tables on the deck and had a taco man come. We really could have fit 80 with no problem, The place felt spacious and with the multiple decks and sitting rooms there was plenty of room. I don't even think we ever used the "formal" living room! The view is AMAZING and the neighborhood very quaint. We had 5 adults and two teens staying there and didn't even use all the rooms. Having a place to gather with family for the weekend and then a romatic last evening there with my new husband made the experience very special. The entire weekend was like a dream and the Moana House was a big part of it. We couldn't have been happier, we would definitely rent the house again. THANK YOU!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
