Roomy basement apartment with private entrance in mid-century modern ranch style home in well established, quiet family neighborhood. Comfortably furnished, complete with linens, bath and kitchen supplies. Sleeps 6-8 with 2 bedrooms, futon and 2 twin roll away beds. Pack and Play and high chair available for little ones. The large yard is fenced and has a play set for kids. Satellite TV and WIFI is in the unit.
Guests have access to a shared laundry room plus additional half bath and fenced backyard. Please note that this is a basement space with stairs and is below ground. There are large egress windows in living room and both bedrooms that let in daylight sun.
Our interaction can be as little or as much as guests needs from me. My home is upstairs. We may meet frequently on the patio in the summer. I have three small to medium size dogs that you will run into frequently so you must love dogs.
This apartment is located in the Lewis & Clark/Southgate Triangle which is bound by Higgins Avenue and 39th Street on the southeast and South Avenue and Russell on the northwest. It is ideally located for getting almost anywhere in Missoula, from the mall to downtown, conveniently.
Staying at close to home offers quite a bit, too. Some of Missoula’s best recreation areas are right here. Spring through autumn, Playfair Park is bustling with activity as families congregate among the soccer fields, tennis courts, and the modern water park, Splash Montana.
Bus stop is less than a block away. Albertson's grocery store complex is two blocks. Plenty of street parking in front of home. Easy access from airport down Reserve Street. The new Kohl's and Cabela's as well as new restaurants are within an easy walk.
Well behaved dogs may be considered but please contact me before booking with pets and let me know what kinds of pets you have. I have three small to medium size dogs, an elder and two young pups, so your pets must be able to get along nicely with others.

About the owner: Chicago was my home-base growing up but I lived and traveled around the world as an Army brat. As an adult, I made my home in Eureka, CA in 1980 and moved to Missoula in 1993. I am a business owner and live in the upstairs unit of this home. I am passionate about living in the mountains, near lakes and rivers and love the 360 degree mountain views here in the Missoula valley.
Missoula is an active town where you can bike, run, ski, paddle, hunt, fish, hike, backpack, float and camp. Missoula also has hundreds of artists and writers, in part because of the University of Montana, which keeps us all young. We have a great library and bookstores, a symphony, a children’s theater and lots of art galleries. Downtown is a thriving area with lots to do, shop, eat drink and enjoy, especially the Saturday market in the summer.
Why the Owner Chose Missoula: I fell in love with this home because it has a double city lot which makes for a very large private backyard. I love the mid-century design and I have tried to maintain the style while keeping the integrity and feel of the period. There are three lovely brick and rock fireplaces in the home (one is in the apartment) that we converted to gas.
