Recently my family and I stayed in this beautiful condo, it was so breathtaking. Not only was the inside nice and neat, but the views were gorgeous. The house is located very close to the yellow brick road which is an easy path that anyone can ski down. It takes you right to the base where all the lifts are. There were some good places to eat at the base, but the kitchen was so nice that we hardly ate out. Be sure to get what you need in town because it's about a 30 minute drive to get back to Durango. This place is great vacation place for any family!

Staying at the condo was great. The rooms and kitchen was very nice. The only issue we found was there was a lot more sleeping room than the kitchen utensils would support. Had to do a lot of dishes. Durango Mountain Resort is nice and quiet, would have loved more snow but you can't blame them for that.

Was so pleased with everything in the Condo. It is absolutely beautiful. We skied for 4 days and was so nice to be able to stop by the condo to eat our lunch and/or rest. Had our 6 month old grandson and his parents with us so it made things really easy to take turns keeping the baby. What a wonderful laundry room!! Would definitely stay again. Some day maybe someone will make an easier access trail to the slope even though it is doable as is. Always looking for more convenience.

My family ( 4 couples, and one toddler) had a wonderful time! We were able to ski in and out from back door. The condo is beautiful, and very comfortable. Clean and well maintained. We would come back, and are talking about a summertime vacation. Very happy we stayed there!

We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful condo! Beautifully decorated and furnished! Just as advertised, with everything we needed, including a wonderful laundry room!! Would definitely stay again when we come back to Durango. Will definitely recommend it to our friends and family, too! We spent a day at Mesa Verde and another day driving the San Juan skyway, with visits to Telluride and Ouray. We also took the Durango-Silverton train and saw a black bear (from the safety of the train, thank goodness!). What a beautiful area and a fabulous condo. Thanks again!

This condo was amazing! We enjoyed a perfect week long summer vacation at it. It is very comfortable inside and out. The condo is equipped with everything you need to make your vacation a relaxing one. It is as nice as the pictures portray it to be with many luxury touches. I hope we can come back and stay at it during ski season. The resort and surrounding area offer many activities that are family friendly.

The condo was beautifully remodeled and everything the pictures and description say it is. We couldn't have asked for better accomodations for our trip to Durango. 5 adults and 4 kids had more than enough room in this great condo. The double bunk beds were perfect for the kids

This is my 9 year old grandson's review of staying at BraeMark Lodge. "This was the nicest place ever! the fire was warm, the back yard was nice to do snowball fights and sledding. In the trees the squirrels and birds were spectacular! Also, the furniture was comfortable. I enjoyed it and I wish to come back here every single year and to live in this house one day!!!" This was my family's 4th trip to stay in this beautiful condo but he was a little young in 2007 to remember all of it -- but -- it made a lasting impression on a 9 year old this year. He has a 10 year old sister who enjoyed it every bit as much as he did. We had a hard time getting them to come in from "snow ball fighting and sledding" in the back yard. Again, let me say that I truly recommend this condo. You will not be disappointed!!!

This was our second year staying at this beautiful condo. It is so spacious, clean, and comfortable. We have four boys in our group ranging from age 4 to 8. They love getting to stay in their own room and playing hide and go seek. The ski in and out location is so convenient. We met at the condo daily for our lunchbreak from skiing, and were able to save money by not eating in the lodge! The area behind the condo is a winter playground for snowball fights, sledding and building snowmen. Our families had a blast spending time together playing games and watching movies by the warm crackling fire. I can't say enough about how great this place is. We look forward to many more memories at this condo in the future!!

My parents and my four children stayed in this condo. It was beautiful and very convenient. I loved sitting by the big windows watching the skier/snowboarders come down the mountain. Families with all ages would enjoy staying here. It is also equipted with everything you will need.

This was our second stay in this condo. The first was before the renovation and the second was the week before Christmas. What a lovely surprise. The renovations were beautiful and we had a wonderful time. The condo is everything you could wish for and then some. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need to cook and feel right at home. We look forward to going again next year!!!

The amount of snow was disappointing but was made up for by the beautiful accomodations. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and easy to clean. Lots of hot water, comfortable beds, beautiful views and woodburning fireplace made relaxing after skiing a real treat.

NO MORE SNOW! Day 1: 10" of new powder, Day 2: 5" new powder, Day 3: The most perfect ski day that I have seen in 20 years. High in the mid 30's to 40's and so much powder! Day 4: 12" new powder. It took the kids a few minutes to find their skis burried in the snow. Day 5: Broken arm. One of the girls met the mountain while boarding. The emergency room at the base area at Durango is the BEST. Great people. Day 6: heading back to Dallas and the real world. Thank you so much for the wonderful place. I would say this is one of the best Condo's on the mountain. We will be back!

What a great week we've had! Although it would have been great to have some new powder--spring skiing in shirt sleeves is pretty awesome! Jerry, Scott, Tom & Patrick went fly-fishing on three of four days here. (Once, on a float trip on the San Juan, and twice on the river in Durango!) The big event this week is me (Nancy) learning to snowboard at age 45! I'm hooked! You have a wonderful home here. We'd love to come back. Thank you for sharing! We had a really nice stay. Our girls (8 years old) now officially ski better than their Moms (both level 6-bumps, black diamonds & jumps)! The ski school was great. Hope to come back again soon! Best Wishes, The Maeranders & The Havermales

Thank you for letting us share your wonderful home. We were almost all beginners and we had a great first experience. New Years 2002 Greg & Family, Thanks so much for the use of the Converse Family home. We had a great week. New Years here is a great time. WE had two separate snow storms with lots of fresh powder. The kids built a bunch of jumps out back and had a blast trying to out do each other. We loved the Hamilton Chop House, thanks for the recommendation. By the way, the new bathroom and entry downstairs are really sharp! Thanks again, The Redd and Brewer Family

We have stayed in many condo's at DMR and like the Converse Family Lodge best. Our 10 guests found it to be more than enough space and tons of storage for a two week stay. During our last stay we were visited daily by at least 3 dozen hummingbirds and occasionally a couple bears (harmless). The kitchen was well appointed and made cooking a breeze. We even forgot some obscure ingredients at the store, only to find the owners already had some on hand. The owners have everything available to make your stay pleasant. Our only regrets are when we leave. We recommend the Converse Family Lodge to anyone, unless you want the same weeks as us:-)
Owner response:Thanks David for taking the time to give us your comments. Having great guests is as rewarding as pleasing our guests.
