Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
We are retired from long careers and enjoying life through volunteer work, hiking, gardening, computing, traveling, and spending time at the beach and with family and friends.
Why the Owner Chose Dillon Beach
We found Dillon Beach while looking along the Northern coast and found it to be easy to get to but still felt like we were really getting away. I have always dreamed of living somewhere with an ocean view and wildlife around and this is exactly what we have. We visit and maintain our property beautifully and love to share it with our family and travelers. We have met people all over the world and enjoy our many return visitors.
The Unique Benefits of this House
It is so quiet and beautiful. When I was there recently, a spotted owl came and perched on our deck. It renewed my wonderment of the area. I love staying there but I also love venturing out to the little quaint towns, unusual bakeries, spas, wineries, etc.

A first class get-a-way - worth every penny!

I am just about to take an international business trip so I'll need to keep this review brief. This past weekend at the Beachnest in Dillon Beach was spectacular! The owner John was so friendly over the phone and made the reservations so easy. We arrived Friday evening just in time to enjoy some champagne on the deck as the sun set over the ocean. That alone was worth a few hundred dollars. The house is in excellent condition. You would never know it was a rental. The furniture throughout the home is beautiful and looks well kept and new. So many rentals look nice in photos but are really beat up and tired. Not the Beachnest. It looks even better than the photos. The kitchen is modern, clean and well stocked. The bathrooms are clean and plenty of big thick towels. The living and dining room have incredible ocean views. The bedroom has a huge bed with expensive covers, pillows and sheets. The bedroom also has ocean views that are breath taking. I wish the huge windows in the bedroom could open so you could feel the ocean breeze while in bed. But you can have that downstairs by opening up the sliding glass doors and sitting on the large L shaped leather sofa. We cooked steaks on the outdoor grill and enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine that was on the kitchen counter when we arrived. Then we relaxed in the hot tub and soaked our troubles away! I could go on and on how wonderful this home is for a first class get-a-way. But to really know how special it is you'll have to enjoy it for yourself. I am already planning our next stay and can't wait to be back there! One last bit of advice - we are very neat and clean in our own homes so it was a pleasure to arrive at a clean home. However, you must leave the place almost as clean in addition to the cleaning fee. This required some addition effort just before we left but we didn't mind. I'm guessing this is the reason the home doesn't appear to look like other worn out rentals. - Paul D.

What a wonderful and much-needed mini-vacation we had at Beachnest this weekend. This was our third time staying in this delightful, lovely home, and our 4 year old and 2 year old love it as much as we do. We don’t get to spend much time together with just the four of us – we have an extremely large extended family all within 5 miles, and are also lucky to live in a close-knit neighborhood of wonderful neighbors. So this was a real treat to spend time just with “us.” Thank you, thank you, John and Linda!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Beachnest this past weekend. The views were fantastic and we were especially happy with the well-equipped kitchen; we cooked both nights. The hot tub was fantastic as well. We loved watching the deer each morning, and were even treated to a new fawn following his mother. Pretty cool. Hope we'll get to stay again soon.

What a wonderful expereince we had at our girls weekend at the Beachnest. Property was very clean, well maintained and equipped with all things needed for relaxation. Easily and comfortable slept six adults. The pillows and sheets were so comfortable. Nice walk down and back from the beach (although it is a hill). The owners were very helpful with sending out information and care instructions. Really just a wonderful getaway; especially for a relaxing weekend. Not much at all in Dillon Beach, but that's what we wanted. Bodega Bay was an easy quick drive.

The first time u fell in love, u remember it like u will with the "Beach-Nest." A perfect decor for a house-warming experience that blends in the natural surrounding of it's beauty inside and out. Incredible view of the pacific ocean and landscape right on the edge of the porch. But nothing beats waking up to a scenery that takes your breath away. A piece of paradise on top of a hill. I would definitely recommend this hidden treasure only to friends and families.

The beachnest lives up to its name, well decored and cozy. I would highly recommend it. Views were breathtaking spectacular especially from the bedroom upstairs. and all the amenities you could think of. My husband and I had an unforgettable experience. Property was well-maintained and Dillon Beach was private. Looking back at the photos, brings back pleasant memories of a great vacation. Thank you for allowing us to have the opportunity to stay at the beachnest.
