We were most comfortable in your lovely home. Your backyard, patio and garden areas were a real treat. We loved staying on the patio or inside the casa until going into town for our late afternoon or evening activities. Thank you for sharing your villa. We have wonderful memories of our stay.

Casa del Canto was beautiful and very peaceful. The hustle and bustle of San Miguel was wonderful, but it was great to be able to retreat up to the house at the end of each day. The house itself is very comfortable, well furnished and clean. The heating worked very well and was definitely needed in the evening and mornings. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Just wanted to let you know that your house is fantastic....absolutely love it! I'd happily and confidently recommend your home to anyone who wants peace and quiet in gorgeous surroundings:) I had the most wonderful time!! Definitely no shortage of things to do here! I've been walking into town and cabbing it back for $3 like u suggested. I'll definitely be back in SMA at some point. I just want to say again that I could not have asked for a better house!!!! We are ready to return to warm and sunny Mexico. We thoroughly enjoyed your house and San Miguel. The management company was great. They took care of anything we needed. The gardener, Jaime, was wonderful also. We didn't get to know Ana Marie very well because she had some health issues and her daughter,Gloria, came to clean for several weeks and did a good job. We look forward to returning to San Miguel next year and will contact you if we do. Once again,we enjoyed your house and thank you for your efforts. Jim& Pat

We are just back from our visit to San Miguel and I cannot thank you, thank you enough for our stay at your place. We absolutely fell in love with San Miguel and plan on returning - with friends and family in tow! Your house is lovely - tons of room for the two of us (we didn't even get to use those lovely upstairs rooms). We picked some limes on the outside tree to bring to some friends. We loved the neighborhood and area of your house as well. So wonderful - I can see why you fell in love with the place. Again, thank you so, so much. Your place definitely made us love SMA all the more. Cheers!

Our stay at Casa del Canto was really wonderful and surpassed our expectations - we loved it!!! The house is warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated and in an ideal location above the city next to the botanical garden. Every night the sunsets were marvelous. The house was large enough for 4 adults; we each found our "space" we enjoyed, from the patios to the two garden areas. The neighborhood is very charming. Your casa was perfect! It was just the right size for our group of five. The location was terrific. Close enough to go anywhere and yet remote enough for doing nothing. The garden area was a favorite gathering spot at any time of day. The walk to the market and downtown was great. I loved being in town and out of town at the same time. The casa was also very quiet, which was so nice, but at the same time there was lots to see and hear and smell. Pretty cool! I think staying closer to downtown would not have been as peaceful, especially on the weekend. And I loved the view of the botanical gardens and the canyon from the upper floor balcony. Everything we needed was there and was easy to find. The guest binder was helpful. Thank you again for the great stay. P.S. I loved my pillow. Best sleep in ages ;)

Hola! We have all safely returned from Casa del Canto and are much the richer for having experienced your wonderful home and San Miguel. The two weeks at your casa were as close to perfection as vacations can be. We loved the location - took a guided walk at the Charco Botanical Garden and participated in a full ceremony there later in the week. We sat in your lovely garden, read, ate al fresco meals and looked on with pleasure at all of your artistic touces. This is the kind of house we would have if we decided to follow your lead and add San Miguel to our retirement plans. Weather was great, fiestas were many and colorful, restaurants were uniformly excellent and reasonable. Again, muchas gracias!!!

Had a great time at your home away from home in SMA. Dulce met us at the casa with the keys and from there the visit went very well. The guest notebook was very helpful. We are ready to return another day. Mil gracias!

Thank you so much for the use of your house. We had a lovely week and found San Miguel to be a truly charming place! The house worked out perfectly. We walked a lot every day and took a cab home in the evening. The weather was fresh and crisp. The botanical garden was extraordinary and the architecture was fabulous. You were right, we ate out all the time, just having tea and toast in the mornings. The food was very good! It is definitely a place we will return to some day. I loved my first visit to San Miguel and am inspired to return some day. The location and the house were lovely. I enjoyed my walk down the hill each day and taking the taxi back up each evening.

This house is everything we would have asked for. It is beautiful, well located and, what´s more, everything works! We did indeed fall in love with San Miguel staying at your lovely casa. The guide books provided led us to many wonderful restaurants. Also appreciated the key to the Charco del Ingenio which we toured and visited twice.

Your place is the perfect place to just relax and get away from the noise and traffic in town. It is peaceful, beautiful and very comfortable. We both enjoyed the routine of walking down the hill to town. Each day we tried to take a different route and so got new views and met new people. Everyone was friendly. Around 2 every day we would head up the hill for a siesta and then back down around 5 for dinner. The town had a personality all its own. The Friday night paseo in the Jardin, the markets, the beautiful colors, the bells and the gently, genuinely friendly people were all highlights. Great, great food! Beautiful art and craftwork kept us wandering and exploring for hours. We both especially liked the public library - the building itself, the cafe and the international gatherings. We truly had a fine time and highly recommend your home as a vacation rental.

The house was most comfortable, beautifully decorated and met all of our needs. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the patio. The house and the neighborhood felt quite secure. It is an easy ten minute walk to the center of town. I don't think you can do much better than this for a vacation stay.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Canto. What a lovely environment! Ana Maria, the casa maid, and Jaime, the casa gardener, are very pleasant to deal with. Ana Maria was able to send us to the parade of Los Ninos in town. What fun! We would have missed it otherwise. Again, thank you for a great stay.

We have just completed a month of wonderful experiences in San Miguel. Casa del Canto has been a charming and ideal base from which to conduct our many explorations and adventures. It is a quiet and beautiful refuge after full days in the city. When we needed a break, the botanical garden just up the hill provided solitude and a refreshing tast of nature. We even enjoyed the calorie reducing climbs up the hill to the casa. Ana Maria was a wonderful maid keeping us very clean and tidy. She patiently helped with my infantile Spanish. The whole experience was magical. We hope to return to Casa del Canto ...

My husband and I stayed at Casa del Canto and were very happy with our experience. The entire trip was perfect and the owner was very helpful, answering all of our questions and pointing us in the right direction for side trips. This beautifully kept home is convenient to everything and tastefully decorated. The casa is located on a hill, as is most of San Miguel, and the walk into town was great exercise and the taxi service excellent and inexpensive.

The casa is very comfortable and marvelous for lazy afternnoons in the sun. The limes from the tree in the front yard go very well with El Jimado ... or anything else. When we asked the owner for help, whe was very attentive.

We walked into town every morning and evening and enjoyed the view along the way. Enjoyed listening to birds and church bells instead of car horns, and marveled at the simple life of the Jardin at night ...

We spent the most wonderful 10 days in San Miguel and we owe much of it to you. Casa del Canto was more than we expected; the comfort and amentities made it feel like home. Of course, San Miguel is an amazing town almost beyond description. The time passed way too quickly. We will certainly return. Casa del Canto was encantada! Above the city, quiet nights, cool neighborhood, and a lovely walk to town, it was a perfect way to spend our anniversary. The nearby botanical garden was unbelievable! There was so much to see and do that we'll have to plan another trip...

Normally when I have chosen a vacation home on the Internet it is oversold. Casa del Canto was everything you said it would be and more. Talk about location! The house was within walking distance of El Jardin and close to the large botanical garden with indigenous plants. What a delight! We met many wonderful people in San Miguel and your house was perfect for entertaining. The large living room/dining room was well furnished with authentic Mexican pieces. The art work was a special touch. My wife particularly liked the backyard patio, which was great for privacy and relaxing. We really could not have had a nicer home and location. When we are back in San Miguel again, your house will be the first one we inquire about. Thanks again.

We had a very pleasant stay. Every day we would walk back up the hill around 1PM to relax in the garden. Back to town around 4PM for dinner. The nearby botanical garden is a MUST. Plant to spend most of the day walking the trails there.

My stay at Casa del Canto was just what I was looking for. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The house is kept impeccably clean by the charming housekeeper. This very spacious house is wonderfully decorated, with amazingly artistic Boveda ceilings, custom authentic tile work and a delightful backyard garden retreat - it had everything I needed! I think anyone would thoroughly enjoy their stay at Casa del Canto.

Our maid at Casa del Canto, Ana Maria, greeted us with warmth and kindness. For two months, she has graciously, thoroughly and dependably cleaned the casa each week. We have been very pleased to get to know Ana Maria!
