Fantastic central location, stunning views, quality, space and light.

Recently rebuilt, this apartment provides all the comfort of a modern apartment but the unique charm of a traditional and prestigious building in the noblest part of Chiado.

It is very spacious and bright, with the sun flooding in through large and tall skylight windows. The sensation of space, light and freshness felt inside the apartment is amplified by the tall ceilings and white stone floor and can be fully enjoyed as the front windows are not overlooked.

Elegantly furnished and equipped with all modern facilities, the apartment has two comfortable and quiet bedrooms with wooden floor and solid comfortable beds, one functional and spacious bathroom and a very well equipped and luminous kitchen.

Most attractions can be easily reached on foot, metro, trams and taxis are just around the corner and trains to Sintra and Cascais at short walking distances.

Apartment located at 4th floor (total of 5) and serviced by two elevators. No need to climb any stairs.

The apartment is the most central you can get, located at the corner of Rua do Carmo with Rua Garret, just in front of the exquisite Lisboa Regency Chiado Hotel. Both buildings share the same architectural quality and were reconstructed in 1996 respecting their original 18th century style under the supervision of the famous architect Alvaro Siza.

Rua do Carmo is a prestigious pedestrian street hosting some of the most important Lisbon attractions, like the famous Santa Justa iron lift designed by an Eiffel follower in neo-gothic style and rated with three Michelin stars.

Chiado is considered by most ‘Lisboetas' to be the most beautiful and glamorous area of the city, unique for atmosphere and always a meeting point for locals and visitors with its beautiful churches, theatres, opera, cafés and shops coexisting with top fashion boutiques and art galleries. It remains one of the most fashionable (and expensive) places to live in Lisbon.

Portuguese music and fado CDs, DVDs of popular movies, books and provide copies of most guide books to Lisbon and Portugal. Cable TV with more than 40 channels, including several english speaking.

Baby bed, highchair, stroller, toys box and other child facilities can be provided on request at no extra charge.

A deposit of 200 Euros will have to be paid immediately via pay pal, credit card via pay pal or bank transfer and the remaining will have to be paid on arrival and in cash. In case of cancellation we shall refund funds received, minus a 50 euros administrative fee, if the apartment is re-rented for the same dates.

Check in after 2pm and check out before 10am. We will however try to allow other arrangements, according to your needs, whenever possible. If you cannot get in immediately on arrival or have to leave sometime before your convenience, it will normally be possible to leave your luggage in the apartment for a couple of hours.

Our enjoyment of visiting beautiful Lisbon was enhanced by our four-night stay at this comfortable elegant apartment. We will definitley rent the apartment again in our next trip to Lisbon.

  • The Chiado apartment exceeded our high expectations. As previous guests noted, the apartment is spacious, functional, bright, well decorated and well situated. There's not much I can think of to add except to advise my compatriots who love Europe but are discouraged by the weak dollar that Lisbon is surprisingly affordable, particularly the many excellent Portuguese wines - and not just Porto and Madeira - which cost a fraction of similar French and California vintages.

  • what a joy to wake up in this apartment - light flooding into the living room and dining rooms! (the bedrooms are dark if you want that) . the space is huge and perfectly clean and so very well equipped - right down to a fabulous library of portuguese music. and it's so much fun to look down at the people on the streetfrom the windows - best people- watching ever! i only wish we had had more time to explore lisbon from this great location. . . hopefully again soon.
