Pohai Nani means "surrounded by beauty" and this waterfront haven on a private waterway in Kailua is surrounded with all that makes Hawaii an island of enchantment. Just minutes to world-renowned Kailua and Lanikai beaches via car or bike, or enjoy a unique adventure and kayak our private waterway to the shore. When you return, dip into our fresh-water (no chemicals) pool for a healthful plunge and enjoy all the comforts of an artful Hawaiian hale (home).

Each room is an art piece in itself designed to invoke the beauty of the islands.

The Lover's Nest is upstairs with hand-painted walls that bring the majestic feel of the emerald Koolau mountains right into your room. The comfortable queen bed nestled under a thatched roof creates a real Hawaiian tree hut experience. The ocean painted private bath filled with Hawaiiana reminds you that that aloha is everywhere. The deck or "lanai" off the guest room provides outdoor seating and sweeping views.

Hula's Room is downstairs--an earthy, tropical retreat with a comfortable queen bed, a volcanic hand-painted floor and French doors leading to a Hawaiian cottage garden. The bath down the hall with a tub and shower make this room comfortable and easily accessible.

Two more guests can experience a true Hawaiian tradition of "punee" sleeping (island families slumbering together). Our sun room features a large version of a punee (two full beds toe-to-toe) that make your Hawaiian experience authentic, fun and memorable.

The home is recently remodeled and features high-end furnishings and some of the latest technology including property-wide wireless. The modern kitchen is completely stocked and includes a microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, and refrigerator with ice maker. The downstair living area is artful and whimsical with a kitchen nook, open dining room and spacious living room with HD, flat screen, surround-sound TV. (Washer & dryer also available).

We also offer our Sea Glass Suite suitable for one or two guests. Private entrance, kitchenette, artful and spacious. Please email requesting information and availability.

Note: A caretaker resides in a private suite w/ separate entrance to maintain property and feed Marcel, the resident cat :)
