Welcome to our wonderful vacation home in Twain Harte!
This hand built home was constructed in 1947 and has about 1600 square feet not including the game room. It has all the charm of homes of that era plus modern conveniences.
The home also has a brick fire place and central heat! Wood is included in Winter for the fireplace! Much of the home has open beams, hardwood floors and knotty pine walls.
The Kitchen has just received an overhaul including some new cabinets, Italian tile counters and a new sink/faucet. Kitchen now includes a new gas stove, garbage disposal and dishwasher for your comfort.
New double pane windows and a french door to the deck have recently been installed for your comfort! Although this is a vacation cabin, we continually try to upgrade the property as money permits.
The home is comfortably furnished and most of the mattressess are brand new and of high quality for your comfort! Mattress pads are on all the beds. Please bring your own bedding and pillows.
Our home also includes a large basement game room with foosball, air hockey table, bumper pool/poker table, Color TV and a VCR/DVD player! We also have an ever expanding selection of videos, books and table games. Since we love this home and stay here also, we strive to keep it nice! It is truly a nice, comfortable place to stay!
The master bedroom includes a queen bed and a twin. Upstairs bedroom number one includes 2 twin beds. Upstairs bedroom number two has bunk beds, a twin bed and a full futon. There is also a full futon in the living room for an extra sleeping area.
For your convenience, there is a brand new Washer and Dryer. We do ask that you keep loads to a minimum to keep water and energy costs down! Please bring your own laundry soap and dryer sheets.
The basement game room stays between 60-70 degrees even in the heat of Summer! It has a fooseball table, bumper pool/poker table, air hockey table, TV and dvd/vcr, plus many paperback books and a bunch of table games and videos. A nice cool place for kids of all ages to have fun!
Twain Harte is an easy 140 mile drive from San Jose or the East Bay. It will take you 2-3 hours depending on the time of day you are driving.
Please note, we are not that close to Yosemite (80 miles away). It is still a nice day trip, but not that close. The title page lists it as in the Yosemite area, and I can't change what the VRBO web site puts there. Thanks for your understanding.
Our home is a short walk (1/4 mile) to the town of Twain Harte, the golf course, pee wee golf, shops, restaurants and tennis courts. Twain Harte is the perfect area for year round fun. Skiing at Dodge Ridge is about 15-20 minutes away! Pinecrest Lake is also 15-20 minutes away for fishing, swimming and boating! More fishing can be found on the South Fork of the Stanislaus River, which is very close.
The newly renovated Black Oak Casino is 10 minutes away with slot machines, gaming tables, a good buffet, other restaurants and a sports bar. This facility is top notch and has an arcade and 24 lane bowling alley downstairs for the kids!
Sorry, I do not have lake access or passes. There are a ton of lakes in the area and the Twain Harte Pool is available also.

We will only rent to adults over 21 years of age. Children and young adults are welcome with adult supervision.

$100 a night, 2 nt minimum (3 nt min. Holidays).$650/wk (7 nts) Off Season
$150 a night, 2 nt minimum (3 nt min. Holidays).$950/wk (7 nts) In Season
Off season rates apply April 1 to May 22 and Sept. 7 to Nov. 18
Security/damage deposit is $300 to hold your reservation.
$85 fee for cleaning. The home will always be cleaned prior to your visit.
$100 fee for cleaning for groups of 10 or more.
