Our ocean view Oceanside California vacation rental condominium is the place to be when you are looking for a beach rental with attention to detail. On the third and fourth floor, with elevator access, our two bedroom two story penthouse loft condominium is a soothing home base for your relaxing beach vacation or busy exploration of San Diego and southern California. You will be instantly drawn to the new doors and window with their ocean views from the family room and both bedrooms.

Our modern kitchen is well equipped for a quick pre-beach breakfast or for a gourmet sunset dinner. If you wish, you can enjoy a movie or your favorite show on our plasma high definition TV with cable, DVD, and surround sound. You might prefer to sit on the private ocean view balcony, or take a cocktail up to your private roof top patio and enjoy the sites and sounds of surf instead.

No comfort has been forgotten from boogie boards to oversized beach towels to luxury linens...

As you walk through the staffed secure gate to North Coast Village you are transported to a tropical oasis reminiscent of the Costa Rican rain forest. Running streams, waterfalls, lush foliage, and koi meander through the spacious grounds of this resort like beach front condominium complex in Oceanside California.

You will notice the crystal clear heated pool and spa, gleaming barbecues, convenient picnic tables, "sand rinsing" stations to remove the lingering beach. If you need a break from sun and surf, you might enjoy a game of pool on one of North Coast Village's 2 new pool tables, a jog on a treadmill in the exercise room, a little ping pong, or a sauna. Feeding our giant koi is a simple pleasure not to be missed during your Oceanside visit.

When you venture all the way through the back gates, you find yourself on one of North San Diego County’s finest beaches: broad and flat, with fire rings, volleyball, and great surf breaks - right out back! Be sure to stake out a fire ring (to the left) for a unique evening beach fire at least one night while you are in Oceanside.

To your right, you can walk or bike (two bikes included) to Oceanside’s busy little harbor for a bite to eat or some boating, and to your left you can venture down the strand to southern California’s longest pier for some fishing (no license needed) or casual dining at Ruby's. North Coast Village is close enough to walk to everything near the beach, so your car can stay in its secure underground parking spot - especially useful when beach parking becomes a premium in the summer.

When it is time to end the day, you will find stylish comfort in either of the bedrooms (king or two twins) and if there is an extra guest, they can use the new queen sleeper sofa or deluxe aerobed. Both bedrooms have TV's with cable as well. You will find all accommodations to be stylish and of high quality. Relax and enjoy! This beach rental is as good as it gets.

Nervous about renting direct from owner? No need - I'm also an experienced vacation rental manager - so you get the best of both worlds!

Ocean View Penthouse North Coast Village C304 : $75/nt 1/2-1/7

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose North Coast Village

Beach, boat harbor, heated pool, and pier! What more could we possibly want? North Coast Village is exceptionally well maintained, with an ideal location. The resort like complex of North Coast Village is on the sand (the only condo complex that is in Oceanside), and right between the pier and and Oceanside Harbor.

We lived in San Clemente CA when we bought this beach rental and couldn't believe what Oceanside had been hiding from us for years. It's the only city in San Diego county with a harbor for boating fun, a flat sandy beach, a boardwalk (the Strand), and a pier.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

We live nearby and bought this great beach condo as an investment in our future. We hope to spend lots of time here when we retire, but until then we have to rent our vacation home as much as possible to help pay the mortgage. Melinda spends a lot of time in Oceanside and makes a point of trying different restaurants whenever there. Some favorites are Harney Sushi, Venetos, 333 Pacific, Jitters Coffee Pub, Dominics in the harbor, Beach Break Cafe, Longboarder cafe, and Bull Taco.

A
Oceanside Pier

Oceanside Pier is a quick walk down the Strand along the beach and is the longest wooden pier on the west coast. Fishing here is free and requires no license. Bring your gear or rent some at the Pier.

B
Ruby's Diner

Take a stroll down the Oceanside Pier and back to the 50's with lunch at Ruby's Diner. Watch the surfers and dolphins frolic in the waves.

C
Oceanside Farmer's and Sunset Markets

Thursday's year round. Tremont & Pierview. Free. Farmer's markets in the morning. Sunset market including food and entertainment 5-9. Close Thanksgiving, rain.

D
North Coast Village A Building

North Coast Village is a resort-like property of 13 acres, with 550 privately owned condos. Some are available for rent, including A18, which is here in the smaller side of the complex at the Strand a

E
North Coast Village

North Coast Village is a resort-like complex of 550 privately owned condominiums on 13 beach front acres of land. Some of the condos are available for rent. Guests have access to all of the amenities,

F
Rockin Baja Lobster

Buckets of beer, shrimp, lobster, tacos, salsa bar, bar with sports.

G
Joe's Crab Shack

Family friendly seafood with a view of Oceanside harbor.

H
Oceanside Small Craft Harbor

Fish, rent jet skis, kayaks, paddle boats, stand up boards, and more. Shop. Eat. Stroll. Walk from our vacation rental.

I

J

K

"A great beach view place to stay" My family and I have vacationed at North Coast Village for several years, and think it provides the best beachfront vacation experience on the Southern California coast. The location, the view, the amenities, and the people make it a great place for a summer stay. We have rented several different units over the years, but this is our favorite. We love the two story layout, the flat screen TV, the view, and the wireless internet access. The unit is well positioned in the complex and is furnished nicely. We have found the unit owner to be very positive to work with and give both her and the unit a very high recommendation. One word of warning, make sure you park in the designated spot. We had a difficult time reading the number after dark on one visit and ended up having a car towed away. That did take a bit of the fun out of the trip, but was our fault for not looking a little closer (the paint indicating the space number had faded considerably)." ---Source: FlipKey online review system for vacation rentals. - Melinda, Owner

""Well appointed family accomodations" Very nicly appointed condo so close to the beach you can enjoy the sound of the surf! The condo was a hit with our kids and the upstairs master suite with it's own balcony was a great adult retreat. We could sit out on the balcony and watch the kids enjoy the beach. Don't miss the Thursday night street fair down the block! Bring your swim suits, stock the fridge and relax. We had tweens and teens and they all found something to enjoy; the beach, pool, game room, the harbor shops next door or the pier a short skate board away." --- Source: FlipKey online review system. - Melinda, Owner

""Great accommodations; great view" We are repeat customers at Pelican Place, which is the third unit we have rented at North Coast Village. This two-level facility features a second level master suite with a walk-in closet and a large deck overlooking the ocean. There is also a main level balcony with an ocean view that is a great place for morning coffee, lunch and happy hour. There are TVs in every room (including a wall-mounted flat screen TV in the living room that can be viewed from the dining table), free wireless Internet access, and free long-distance phone calls. Some furniture and appliances have been replaced in recent years and there appear to be lots of beach toys (which we don't use in March as adult snowbirds). We particularly like this unit in the winter because it is south facing, which permits the sun to warm the unit (specifically the deck/balcony) on cooler days. The unit is owner-managed, and the owner takes pride in maintaining the unit and is very responsive to requests and questions." ---Source: FlipKey online review system. -Melinda, Owner

"Perfect place for winter sun" This was our 4th year in this beautiful, well-furnished condo with 2 balconies overlooking the ocean. When the grandchildren visit for a few days, beach gear is waiting for them in the well-stocked closets. Every room has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished as if the owner prepared it for her favorite guest. Oceanside has a clean, family-friendly beach and harbor. San Diego and the interesting towns in-between are an easy drive of less than an hour. The commuter train is convenient and fun to use. So much to see and do but best of all is relaxing at the condo, smelling the fresh salt air and walking the beach. Personal Tip: You will have complete privacy but if you want to meet other vacationers, go to the coffee hours and potlucks. Interesting people with the latest ideas on what to see and do." ---Source: Flipkey online review system. - Melinda

æSimply Great !" We really enjoyed this property. It had one upstairs master bedroom, and another bedroom and bath downstairs. Each floor had a deck with a beach and ocean view, and the upstairs deck also had a table large enough for outdoor dining. The location was great, with the beach only a few hundred feet away, and many restaurant choices a short drive or a decent walk away. The Condo was nicely equipped with a compete kitchen, beach chairs, wireless internet, and a big flat-screen TV which had jacks for a video game. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We plan to return soon !" ---Source: Our FlipKey online review system. - Melinda
