The Club House is a privately owned and managed vacation home. Located just five minutes west of Harbor Springs, in the wooded hills of the Birchwood Farms Golf and Country Club. Skiing at Nub's and Boyne Highlands is a quick nine minutes from the door. The home is practical in it's layout and furnishing for your comfort. Our cleaning crew is exclusive to us and always holds us at a high standard.
You are close to the activities of the Harbor Springs area, yet surrounded by the calm and privacy of Birchwood. During your stay, you are invited to enjoy all of the amenities of our Birchwood Country Club. Take on 27 holes of championship golf with some amazing views of Lake Michigan, or tennis on eight natural and synthetic courts. With Pro Shops for both.
There are a seasonal olympic-size pool and a kiddie pool for the youngsters with an open-air poolside snack bar . You will find sensibly priced informal lunches and semi-formal, jacketed dinners inside our private Country Clubhouse. Or take the kids fishing at our ponds down the hill. It's all within walking distance from the house!
No matter the season, you are surrounded by a virtual playground for the young and old alike. Lake Michigan is everywhere. Rivers and creeks await exploring by children or the angler . Shop and dine where people from around the world spend summer. Parades with fireworks, and beaches with sandcastles provide many summer memories.
Live music and theater are very active all year throughout our area. Our amazing autumn colors warrant a visit for a fall color tour. Winter brings all of those activities to make the winter bright and memorable. There is truly something for everyone here at The Club House.
The home is a 1600 square foot, two-story with an attached garage. The summer trees shade the deck area, while in the winter, sun bathes the entire home with light. The home is clean and bright. On the main floor, you will find yourself surrounded with the northern woods in an open floor plan.
Meals and entertaining are enjoyed inside, or out on the wrap around deck. Kick back by the fire at the end of the day, and keep a keen eye on the woods as the deer and such move about the forest at twilight. A convenient full bathroom and laundry are tucked close by.
There are three bedrooms and a full bath downstairs. Kids love to romp down here. Two bedrooms have full/twin bunks, and a spacious queen is in the third room. The beds have new linens for 2005.The two new sofas by the fireplace upstairs convert into queen futons for overnights.
