Recently refurbished by an architect this apartment retains many of its unique Parisian features including high ceilings, coving and oak parquet flooring. Located in the chic 16th arrondissement, it is bright and comfortable.

It is set back from the road on the second floor overlooking a peaceful courtyard planted with trees, yet within walking distance of main sites such as the Eiffel Tower, the river Seine and the Arc de Triomphe on the world famous Champs Elysees.

This apartment is ideally placed for holidays or business. The building has a full time concierge and is electronically secured.

There are many activities in the area. Step around the corner and you are in the Trocadero gardens with their magnificent fountains opposite the Eiffel Tower, which sparkles every evening with a thousand lights.

People come here to enjoy the many activities including local bistros, gardens and parks, museums and art galleries or theatres and cinemas (original English version)as well as live music and famous cabarets.

Shopping in the many open air markets, lovely boutiques or 'grands magasins' is a wonderful experience. A taxi boat from the nearby river takes you along the Seine to the Cathedral Notre Dame. The huge park of Bois de Boulogne has a restaurant, beautiful lakes for boating and an open air theater.

The metro Trocadero, convenient for visiting all parts of Paris is just a four minute walk away.

At the end of the road is a cafe serving continental breakfast as well as a boulangerie, chocolatier and grocery stores. Banks with ATM, post office, a choice of restaurants and cafes are all available in the area.

The apartment is approximately 41 square metres (450 square feet). The round dining tables extends to seat six guests comfortably. The bedroom offers a queen size bed, a large wardrobe and full length mirror.

The spacious double lounge can be closed off with wood panelled doors to form a second bedroom with a king size sofa bed. There is a large shower with marble surround vanity units as well as a washing machine. The separate water closet also has marble surround basins with mirrors and cupboards.

The American-style kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, a four-unit ceramic glass cook top, traditional oven and microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, cafetierre and electric kettle. All utensils are provided. Also provided are an iron, ironing board and hairdryer as well as ADSL/broadband and WIFI. You can also make free unlimited local phone calls.

The mutli-lingual owners can be easily contacted to assist in making your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

  • This was our very first experience at renting an apartment for our annual European vacation. Thanks to my sister who recommended VRBO, we were very lucky to have picked Lisette's apartment in central Paris. She answered our many emails promptly and courteously. This apartment had it all....location, proximity to stores, roomy compared to a hotel room, shopping, parking for our rental vehicle, etc. The book she provided that had all the hints, tips and tricks to navigate the apartment and Paris in general, for the inexperienced was very much appreciated! The apartment was immaculately clean, quiet as a church, and the main bedroom completely blacked out with the curtains closed (which allowed us to sleep in). The only very minor things I would like to mention is that we couldn't connect to the wireless signal, the gardienne who hands you your keys and you forward your security deposit to, spoke only Portuguese and French (shame on me for not studying my Francois more before I left!) and there is no lift in the building (it was constructed in the late 1800's) Hauling your luggage up three flights of stairs on a narrow spiral staircase is not for the weak of heart! At the end of our stay, the gardienne showed up promptly and on time, and returned our security deposit. All in all, I would rate Lisette's apartment experience a 10! It was perfect for our needs! PS: My sister rented the same apartment a few days later, and they really enjoyed their stay too! Thanks again for all your help Lisette! We'll be renting again from you when we return next year! We just didn't spend enough time to see everything Paris had to offer.

Just a minor point, the apartment is on the second floor European (3rd floor US) so only two flights of stairs up. Apologies for the wifi, we shall be installing a new modem.   • My sister and I had a wonderful time in Paris. After days of sightseeing, museums, etc it was wonderful to come back to a charming, cozy and very clean apartment. The location was excellent and the folder you left with all kinds of tips regarding shopping, patisseries, markets, etc was very useful. Thanks also to Maria who quickly settled us in and made sure we got a taxi to the airport on the day we left.

  • The previous comments about this apartment are spot on. It is well appointed and situated in a quiet, but centrally located, area. I would like to add the following: (1) Lisette's handling of the rental is first rate. This was my first apartment rental (vs. hotel), and I was a bit wary of paying in advance for a 2 week stay. However, Lisette was prompt and thorough in answering all of our questions, and the entire transaction went as smoothly as possible. (2) The location near the Eiffel Tower cannot be beat. If you are an avid runner or walker, a great way to start the day is to head down to the tower and make the 1 mile loop from the tower to the Ecole Militaire and back as many times as needed. You will never get bored with this workout. I hope that not too many people discover this gem.

  • Dear Lisette, What a fabulous week we spent in beautiful Paris and your lovely apt. The location was so great and the accomodations very comfortable. I do hope to return again in the future and book with you. Your folder was so helpful and Madame Maria was so nice even though neither one of us spoke the language of the other! The area was safe and quite and so handy to everything.We have stayed in Paris many times but always in a hotel, which we will never do again. We had some great conversations with your Concierge Madame Marieno she was so helpful to us. We recommended our friends in America to you and they are now staying with you in 2007. We will also be returning to you later in the near future. Please if you are going to Paris do not go past this address, you will find that it lives up to all your expectations for a memorable stay.

  • My wife and stayed for a week in late November, 2006. I would recommend the apartment and would stay again. It is well lighted and nicely decorated, very quiet as the apartment faces an interior courtyard, and is conveniently located. It's very easy to get around Paris by bus or train from the Trocadero area. There is also an excellent bistro just around the corner on Kleber Ave, La Butte Chaillot, which is part of the Guy Savoy empire. They are open daily (even Sunday) and have an excellent 3-course fixed price menu for around 32 Euros.
