You will feel right at home in this charming vacation home with three bedrooms (two with king beds, and the third bedroom has two twin beds - plus 2 new queen-size sofa sleepers in family room), two full bathrooms, family room, kitchen, and "Florida Room." Guests love to "dine in" with our upscale, well-equipped kitchen with granite counters, island, cherry cabinets, new stainless steel appliances. If you don't feel like cooking, the area offers top retaurants at reasonable prices. The master bedroom suite features new bed linens, walk-in closet, and private bathroom with double cherry vanities and Tuscan tile shower. This Venice Island house was recently renovated with over-sized ceramic tile floors, new windows, new furniture, recessed lighting and deluxe patio set. Central AC/electric heat. Our Venice Island home will comfortably accommodate a family of 6-10, but it's also perfect for 2-3 couples traveling together, or as a romantic & extra spacious getaway for two. Most of our guests are "repeats." Unique feature - we have a very similar, same size vacation house next door perfect for friends/family, or Guys Golf or Fishing Trips, Girlfriends Getaways, etc.!

For a little sunset watching and live music, the home is walkable to "lots to do" including the very popular Sharky's ocean-front bar & restaurant and Venice Pier for the best fishing. (we have a responsible local babysitter with very reasonable rates for kids/grandkids) We are close to the island's public golf course & tennis courts - and short drive to 5 challenging public and semi-private golf courses. Short 2 block walk to the beach and close to the historic downtown district filled with Northern Italian architecture, charming boutiques, antique stores, and first-rate restaurants.

- Crib: Very child friendly! House has a pack-n-play to use as crib. Also booster seat with tray to use as high chair. Children's DVD/VCR tapes, beach toys. Highly recommended local babysitter with very reasonable rates. Health club has free childcare.

My husband Frank and I met in Florida and had always dreamed of owning a house near the beach to escape to in Florida. We discovered Venice Florida and simply adore this quaint town! Our two little kids love Shark's tooth hunting on the beach near us (pre-historic shark's teeth - don't worry!); going to Venice Ave. for huge ice cream cones; and running through the Children's Fountain in their swimming suits in the town center! Venice beaches are beyond beautiful and the residents are very friendly. Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
The Island of Venice beaches are simply breathtaking and don't get very crowded. Our house is centrally located - just a short walk to the beach and the very-popular Sharky's restaurant on the ocean -- the perfect spot for sunsets & live music! Our house is on the same street as the new community center, the art center, and the library. Plus the grocery store and wonderful breakfast diner are walkable as well as the charming town center with all of the restaurants, coffee shops, antique stores, etc. This town is simply adorable!
The Unique Benefits of this Single-Family Home
We started running two promotions that our guests just love so we had to extend both indefinitely. We offer 2 free bike rentals - located behind the house. The Island of Venice is very popular and quite scenic for bike rides! We also give guests a free family pass to the award-winning Y health club with outdoor Olympic-size swimming pool, high and low diving boards, hot-tub, wide variety of classes & fitness equipment, free babysitting, etc. This health club recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation and our guests have really enjoyed this unique amenity! We have a detailed guest welcome packet that includes our favorite grocery stores, restaurants, local events, etc. so our guests are "in the know on where to go!"

Dear Amy & Frank McDermott, We had such a great trip. House was perfect - plenty of space for two families. Location was soooo convenient to everything. Walked to beach every morning, walked to beautiful new community center for art classes, walked to the library, and loved walking to the palm-tree lined downtown area to get coffee and window shop:). Our favorite thing to do was walk to Sharky's almost every night for live music and sunset watching - the Fishing Pier was a big hit with us too. We'll be back soon.
