Welcome to our 1,300 square foot, light, bright, and Tommy Bahama like furnished penthouse villa. Ten-foot ceilings and four walls of windows make our villa bright, open, and comfortable as you walk through the front door.
The first floor includes a large living room, an elegant dining area, half bath, and fully equipped kitchen with a large window that opens out to the patio.
The 30-foot balcony stretches from the kitchen to the living room and has two separate sitting areas overlooking the shops and Shelter Cove. Three sets of sliding glass doors can remain open to let the harbor breezes roll in.
A spiral staircase leads you up to the master suite that has a queen size bed, large walk-in closet, flat-screen TV, and a wall of windows that look out over the harbor shops. The master bath has a large vanity with dual sinks, walk-in shower, and a large whirl pool tub.
After a full day of golf, biking, tennis or shopping, relax and have a cocktail on your private balcony and listen to the music from the boardwalk. Take a walk by the marina and watch the sunset over the picturesque Shelter Cove Harbour. Have dinner water side at any one of the restaurants along the Mediterranean Shelter Cove Marina. Enjoy a glass of wine or a Margarita while you listen to live music at one of the many outside, harbor front cocktail lounges.
Easy access to golf at three of the award-winning Palmetto Dunes Plantation golf courses. Bike rentals can be delivered right to your villa, or store your own bikes in the gated & covered parking area.
Shelter Cove is part of the most beautiful resort area on Hilton Head Island... Palmetto Dunes Plantation. Palmetto Dunes Plantation has three miles of sandy white beaches that are just a short, 25-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride from the villa.
There is private parking at the beach for Shelter Cove guests or you can take the free "Beach Buggy" that runs from March - October.
If you feel like shopping, the Hilton Head Island Mall is just a 20 minute walk and the Shelter Cove Strip Center with additional restaurants, liquor stores, TJ Maxx, and Piggly Wiggly Supermarket is another 5 minutes away.
If you enjoy musicals, the Hilton Head Live Theatre is right outside your front door. If you have kids and/or grandchildren, they will enjoy the playground, pool on property, and free fireworks over the harbor on Tuesday nights.
While you are on vacation, you can feel comfortable with your car and bikes secure in the gated and partially covered parking garage.

We just got back from spending a month in this unit. It is well equipped and the owners respond very quickly to any concern that might arise. The location is ideal scenic mid-island easy access to the beach with the pass provided. Secure parking, elevator if needed but great exercise if you can talk yourself into using the stairs. Unit was clean well supplied, would definitely recommend this property to my friends as long as they were not trying to book it at the same time I would want it. The location provides easy access to dining, biking, shopping, golf basically it is ideally situated to allow you to take full advantage of all Hilton Head has to offer.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The villa was exactly as advertised. In great condition, very clean, with a great balcony & porch area. Loved the hot tub upstairs. Not right on the beach, but my wife & I rented bikes at it was a very easy bike ride to and from the beach. Many shops & restaurants in the near vicinity & great view of the harbor. Owner was very responsive & helpful with any questions. Only thing that kept me from a 5-star review was that the price dropped $100/wk shortly after I booked. I feel the new price of $675/week is perfect, and I would definitely recommend this villa to friends & family.
Owner response:I agree with all of our guests comments and we appreciate the feedback and review. To clarify the price; it is $775/week all-in ($675 for rent and $100 for management fee, taxes, cleaning, etc.) during the summer between the Memorial and Labor Day weekends. We attempt to keep the pricing as simple and as fair as possible for our guests.

We were so happy with the condo - it had a great location with shops/restaurants/activities right outside the door. The condo itself is in great condition, it was very clean and spacious, and had a lot of extras most condos don't provide (i.e. dish soap, paper towels, soap/lotion, etc.) Huge jetted tub, great balcony. There really wasn't anything else I could think of that I could possibly need in a vacation rental. Pool wasclean and close to the condo and had a grill available for the guests to use. We didn't use the dunes buggy, but saw many people who did and that's a very convienient ammentity that Palmetto Dunes offers.. especially because parking at the beach can be a little difficult- we found anyway- if you're not there early. Thanks again, we had a wonderful time! :)

This condo was exactly as advertised. Very spacious and roomy as well as very clean and well maintained. The location was fantastic....right above the shops and restaurants of Shelter Harbour and a short car or bike ride to the beach. It was also very quiet and relaxing even though there seemed to be a lot of visitors to the shops and restaurants. The only thing we didn't like was the spiral staircase, but we knew it was there before we rented. Like all spiral staircases, it was very steep and narrow. Probably fine for younger folks, but we had to be really careful not to fall. This didn't change our opinion of the condo, though. We would highly recommend it to anyone....just be careful of the stairs if you are older or have young children.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway.
