Our suite is situated in beautiful North Vancouver 15 minutes to downtown Vancouver, including Stanley Park and Vancouver Aquarium. Five minutes to Lynn Canyon Park with suspension bridge, Lynn Headwaters Park and Seymour Demonstration Forest, filled with mountain biking trails (including one that is 10 kilometers paved and closed to all motorised traffic) and hiking trials.
We are 10-20 minutes to numerous beaches and local ski hills. Go beachcombing at Deep Cove, Ambleside, Dundrave, or Bachelor Bay, relax in the sunshine and in the beautiful tranquility of the north shore. Go for a hike around Rice Lake, Lynn Canyon Park, Lynn Headwaters Park, only 5 min away or walk on the Baden-Powell trail 2 min from our property. The Dragonfly Suite is situated approximately ten minutes from the base of Grouse Mountain.
The Dragonfly suite is a walkout basement apartment (~720 square feet), two bedroom (one with queen the other with a double or 2 twins upon request), one bathroom (bath and shower) with washer and dryer en-suite, microwave, refrigerator, stove, 27 inch digital TV (some movie channels included) with DVD player, and wireless internet available upon request. Children welcome but please note that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE SUITE OR ON OUR PROPERTY. Sorry no pets. Outdoor patio and sitting area. We have city views from garden and a view of Mount Baker from the street.

My English is not good enough to detail exactly our opinion, but I can say we do agree with what the previous locator wrote, entirely. We spent there our first month in Vancouver, arriving from French Polynesia with 3 children, and everything was just perfect, including the kindness of the owners. Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
Great place for long term stay.

May family and I have been staying here for a total of 2 months as we get settled back in Canada after living overseas for the last 5 years. This is a great suite. It's very clean and spacious with a nice layout. You feel like you are in the forest. The owners, upstairs, are friendly and helpful but give you all the privacy you would like. It is within walking distance of hiking trails. However, you do need a car if you stay here as amenities are too far to walk to - although only a couple of minutes away by car. Highly recommended.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My family (me, husband, and two daughters under 3) stayed at the Dragonfly Suite for a week in June. It was absolutely perfect. Located in a nice quiet hillside neighborhood overlooking downtown Vancouver. It was very clean and very well maintained. Having two bedrooms was perfect as my husband and I could stay up after our girls had gone down for a nap or down for the night. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner every night (minus the food of course), and after we could sit in the living room and watch movies together. If we had wanted to eat out there was an abundance of shopping centers and restaurants nearby. The owners were extremely friendly and gracious hosts and continually apologized for the less than perfect weather. But escaping the Texas heat was fine with us! They supplied us with an endless list of things to do and see above and beyond what you will read in a tourist guide. While not located directly in downtown, it was an easy 20 minutes from almost everything we did: aquarium, Granville Island, beaches, farmer's markets, parks, etc. Would certainly recommend this suite to anyone and if we find ourselves in Vancouver again, we hope it is available! Ohh and I must mention that I did get to see a deer in the backyard!

We stayed at the self contained two bedroom suite for a couple of months after our arrival as a family to Vancouver in May 2009. From the very first welcome through the duration of our stay we had a very nice experience staying in this private accommodation. Liisa and her family were only too happy to help when called upon, nothing was ever too much trouble and as new arrivals to the area we had lots of questions. The neighbourhood is one of the nicest on the North Shore, the accommodation is kept to a very high standard of presentation and cleanliness. The suite has everything you need for vacation or as a base whilst in Vancouver.

My young daughter and I had the good fortune to find the Dragonfly Suite on line and could not have been more pleased with our accomodation for our 4 month stay. The suite is turn key and very comfortable; private and in a lovely neighbourhood with trees, streams, nearby trails and even deer in the backyard! Good shopping, library and school facilities are nearby. The suite was our home away from home and very much appreciated. The landlords are excellent and accomodating. I would recommend the Dragonfly Suite to anyone, particularily for a long term stay.
