I loved this house. It's location is perfect. A restaurant right next door, the sea a few yards away, a 15 min walk down the beach to the busiest tourist beaches in Bali...A very comfortable home...my favorite room is the large room upstairs where I watched surfers and listened to the waves on the shore at night.
Owner response:Thank you Robin, We hope you will stay with us on your next trip to Bali.

We are a swiss family and stayed in Villa Mango in aug. 2011. We really enjoyed our holiday in Bali also the days in Canggu with a very relaxed and natural beach life, especially at Echo beach. We met many very nice people including the staff of the house, Komang, Ketut and Nyoman. They really tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible and we thank them very much for everything. However with the house itself we were quite unhappy. There are many details which would need an urgent renovation. For instance the AC in one bedroom didn't work, some furniture are very old and rusty, just not nice to be used or looked at. We have told our complains, which were handled very professional and nice and we hope the discussed problems will be solved. But I am sorry to say, that at the moment there a probably many better places to stay at in Bali.
Owner response:Thank you very much for your suggestions. We were happy to have you stay with us. The AC has been replaced and we have just put in new furniture. We always appreciate any suggestions and hope you will stay with us on your next visit to Bali. Komang, Ketut and Nyoman send their love as well.

I had a wonderful stay at this beach house. I particularly loved the private pool. I stayed with 5 other friends and we all had an enjoyable time. We could walk the beach to resturants, or order form the local resturant and have food delivered. We had a day shopping, but it was great to get home out of the city and relax at the beach house. Our surfer boyfriends loved the surf break at that beach, it had consistantly good waves. It was resonable, espcially for the amount of people it accomadated.

We couldn't have found a better home away from home. Far from the played-out tourist hotspots, our beach house was a perfect. We surfed our brains out just feet from the front door. The pool is awesome and we would grab a bite and drinks just a short walk down the beach. It's just a short drive to wherever you want to go. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an extra special time in Bali.

We spent three (way too short) amazing weeks at the Bali Surf Cottage! The Villa is super cozy and has such a great vibe. The lovely staff keeps the house feeling constantly clean and tidy and filled with delicious food. The location was PERFECT - right by the beach just close enough to the action to feel involved... but with enough privacy to feel like we were on our romantic getaway! I just wanted to stop by and extend my gratitude to the owner for letting us stay! WE HAD AN AMAZING TRIP AND WILL RETURN AGAIN SOON!

I have stayed in this home twice and loved it. It is just steps from the beach and next door to a cafe overlooking the waves and surfers. Downstairs you can opt for air conditioning and quiet. And swim in a lovely small garden in complete privacy. Upstairs, you can prop open the windows, watch the surfers and hear the waves hitting the shore. It's the perfect location to get away from it all, yet be close enough to the action to walk or take a short taxi ride. The beach is literally steps away and is perfect for both sunrise and sunset walks along the sea. We walked down the beach each night to the "big" restaurants where for a few dollars you can pick a freshly caught fish and watch have it grilled to perfection.

We just spent 3 weeks here in June (6-26) and the villa is great. We loved the pool and spent quite a few days just walking on the beach and swimming in the pool. What made this place really special was Komang the house manager. She is a great cook and made us all kinds of feasts. She was also a great help for planning excursions and finding the best sights to see. Her sister, Ketut, would make us delicious banana or pineapple pancakes, or fried noodles for breakfast. Komang's husband did a great job of driving us around to all the places we wanted to go. Please thank Komang for all her help and for making our stay very memorable.

We have recently come back from 5 nights in Mango Sunset Beach Cottage, Pererenan Beach Bali which would have to be our favourite on this our third trip to Bali. The location was ideal for our two boys with the surf break one minute out the front door. The Villa was clean with two good sized bedrooms with air con plus 2 bathrooms, a central kitchen and dining area with a large water container supplied and upstairs a tv, dvd, day bed and glimpses of the ocean. We had our own swimming pool and outdoor seating area. What made this place special was the people. Our villa staff were just wonderful with Cutic (sorry if i spelt that wrong) who came in the morning to cook breakfast and clean the villa and Komang our amazing manager/chef. Komang would travel in on her scooter in the evening and prepare our evening meal, Komang is a treasure. Her meals were tasty, nutritious and the best vegetables i have ever tasted. it was great to just relax in the evening and not have to worry about trailing out for tea, there was lots of it which was important with two hungry 15 year old surfers. The Ombak Cafe just in front had a lovely deck and served breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. Rita Brothers Warung on the beach was also a good spot for tea, coffee, snacks, breakfast or just a chat with the charming owner and his wife. Nyoman had a small Warung right on the beach where you could get cold Bintang, soft drinks, bali coffee etc. We would bob out in the morning to watch the boys surfing have a Bali coffee and chat with the locals. Komang put us in touch with Nyoman Wijaya, a local surf guide, and he and the boys went out every day surfing. Nyoman was a great bloke and gave the boys lots of tips on the local surf break - which really cranked up a couple of days with strong powerful waves. He also was happy to drive us about and we took advantage of this as there is little around this local without transport. One morning we went to the Ayung River white Water Rafting and the old fella and I spent that time at the Elephant Safari Park. On our last night Nyoman brought his wife and young son to the Villa which we felt was a great compliment. Pererenan's biggest asset is its' people, friendly, caring (Jack got a bad tummy and Komang rang Nyoman who bobbed round with some local Norit a herbal remedy and all was good) we didn't have to ask they just anticipated our needs and it happened. FANTASTIC, THANK YOU, KOMANG, CUTIC & NYOMAN
Owner response:I am so happy that you had such a great time! Hope to see you in Bali again sometime soon. Komang, Ketut and Nyoman will be so happy to know how much you enjoyed their care.

We just stayed at your home January 17 through the 21st and had the most amazing time!! It was relaxing & peaceful and Kamang & Wayan were absolutely wonderful in their care for us. The food was amazing & the home was always spotless when we came home. Iwan, our driver was sooo wonderful! He took us to Uluwatu & the temple by the sea and explained so much of the traditions of Bali, we felt as though we were truly a part of it. On the days we just lounged at the house, the beach was great to walk along and the pool was wonderful to sit in or read in the chairs. We will definately come back & possibly stay even longer next time. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful place for our first experience in Bali!!!
Owner response:Hi Vikki Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I will tell Koman, Wayan and Iwan how much you appreciated them. We look forward to seeing you again in Bali sometime soon! Amana

Superb location, steps to the beach/ocean and a restaurant two steps away. The house was in excellent and clean condition and comfortable to the hilt! Other restaurants are minutes away by car. And Semenyak, where these places are, can even be reach on foot along the beach, provided the tide is low, of course : ) I can wholeheartedly recommend this house to others. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

What a fabulous spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks at this lovely spot in Pererenan. The villa exceeded our expecations, it was kept beautifully clean by the lovely staff, who also cooked some amazing meals..thank you Komang for all those evening feasts, you really made the holiday special. Nyoman was amazing, finding everything we needed, from surfboards to guitars to mopeds, and he even shared his secret surf spots! The new restaurant right next door, (Ombak cafe)cooked us some amazing meals, and the avocado juice was delicious! We could walk on the beach for miles in both directions, we could see sunrise from the back windows and sunset from the front. The pool was a great assett, as swimming in the surf wasn't really possible, but excellent waves for the guys! There were 5 of us, and we were all really comfortable. We loved the masseuses who came to the villa. Lots of choice of drivers if we didn't want to moped. Amana you have a special spot there. Thank you ! Would most definitely recommend to others and go again. (But a very long flight from Vancouver!!!)
Owner response:So happy that you enjoyed your time so much! We look forward to seeing you again in Bali soon!

my family and i spent 5 nights here and had a wonderful time, both our cooks were wonderful Komong and wyan, they cooked and cleaned and made us feel very welcome. we also had a surf guide(yoman) who was also our driver, wonderful people that all made our holiday that much more special. the girls really went out of there way to make us comfy, Yoman looked after the entertainment, with no pressure. the accomodation was wonderful. we were all so happy to find the house to be everything it was described as. we spent a few meal times next door also. very good food and reasonable prices. this is a place i will go back to with friends, we loved it, the night guard kept us safe (not that there was any threats.) wonderful value for money. we feel we made friends out of the staff. wonderful comfortable place. LOVED the POOL.

We have just finished 3 fabulous weeks staying at Villa Mango, also known as Bali Surf Cottage, because of it's close proximity to the wonderful surf beach - just 50m from the front gate. The Villa is nice and 'roomy' and in very good condition with enough amenities to make it safe and comfortable. Our stay was enhanced by the care and assistance provided by the lovely housekeeper and the always helpful and interesting cook. The swimming pool is fantastic for relaxing on these hot days & everything was always neat and tidy, and the meals that were prepared were just delicious - our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to these two beautiful young ladies. We hired a couple of little motor bikes for our stay, which meant the Villa was close to everything we needed (as we are not surfers) - such as the restaurants at Echo Beach and even the tourist hot spots of Seminyak, Legian & Kuta. There is also a very nice restaurant, Ombak Cafe, right next door to the Villa. We would certainly recommend this Villa to our friends. Hope you enjoy it as we did.
