Welcome to the Backroad Gypsy, five acres of woodland, creeks, and natural beauty, a uniquely casual and country comfortable Bed & Breakfast. We want your stay here to be carefree. The Gypsy is less than one mile from Dupont State Forest where there are over 10,000 acres of scenic waterfalls, lakes, and trails for your enjoyment. You can access Dupont Forest from the Gypsy without ever hitting a paved road. Pisgah National Forest is just a 15 minute drive and Cesaer's Head, SC and Pretty Place, SC are within 10 minutes.

When you have spent the day enjoying all that the forest has to offer, come back to the Gypsy and relax in the hammock by the creek. Grill your dinner at the firepit and then make s'mores. If you are still seeking more adventure, Brevard and Hendersonville are both within 20 minutes for restaurants, shopping, and local arts. There are also two restaurants right here in Cedar Mountain and a mini market with fuel, all within 5 minutes from the Gypsy. When you are ready to settle in, your suite is spacious and inviting, including a sitting/tv area, mini kitchenette and private bath. This is the sole unit at the Backroad Gypsy with an entrance separate from the main house offering you complete privacy for your outdoor adventure or romantic getaway. The rental unit totals 500 square feet.

Your suite is filled with fresh continental breakfast items of breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, pastries, juice, coffee and tea. Picnic lunches for the trail are available on request. Also, we offer 100% Buffalo meat from a local ranch for your grilling, from burgers to Porterhouse steaks. (lunch/dinner not included in room rate) Lunches and dinners need to be requested at the time of reservation.
