We stayed at this home in Henderson while attending a family wedding in Vegas and enjoying a glorious family vacation. My husband and I shared the house with our three year old and three other adult family members, and there was plenty of space. We used the loft with the extra twin bed to make an open room with a tv for our little guy. The park that is within a two minute walk, is a great option for easy free fun with the kids. The Spanish Villa is in a great location, only 10-15 minutes from the strip (but give yourselves extra time for traffic on the strip itself), with tons of stores and restaurants surrounding the house, including the Green Valley resort shopping area. It has easy access to the southern end of the strip and I-215, which takes you everywhere. The master suite is really nice, with the very comfy bed, big closets, large vanity, and awesome shower. The rooms are a bit small overall, and drawer space is limited, but we were able to make it work just fine. The backyard is wonderful. We all spent a lot of time in the hot tub, and the heated pool was a bonus as well during uncertain weather in months like March/April when we visited (we had absolutely no rain, some wind, but warm-hot sunshine). We used the pool/hot tub combo every single day, and several nights after our activities. The desert landscape does involve lots of rocks of various sizes, so I do recommend some type of outdoor shoe or even a water shoe, since the inside of the pool and spa are a softer rock-type surface. The very large grill and outdoor seating is great to enjoy a bbq or breakfast on the patio. Steve was very available before and during our stay, by email, text, and phone. I did extensive searching for similar houses, and this one proved to be a great value. Steve, we would recommend you add a knife sharpener and more beach towels for easy improvements. Also, the missing shelves in the fridge door were a bummer. Thanks again, your home was one of the best parts of our vacation!

First time in Vegas ever really nervous about where to stay and how safe it would be, but it was nothing like i expected. We had a great time and the best part of the stay was after a long day sightseeing and walking around on the strip we had the hot tub to come home and relax in, I've never slept so good in my life, the beds are so comfortable, the house is just very nice and comfortable almost like being at home. The pool is awesome, and this house couldn't get any nicer or be in a safer area, and you won't regret working with Steve anything you ask for you have it, even a discount on your grocery and alcohol shopping at Smiths lol, We will definatly be back, best time ever. If you get a chance see the Elton John show at Ceasars Palace it is awesome.

This was one of the best rental experiences ever. The house is exactly as it was described on the website. The home has a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much that often during our short stay, we felt as it if were our own home! Pool, Jacuzzi, layout was perfect. In addition, Steve, the owner was friendly and accommodated every one of our needs! We spent a very enjoyable week at the Spanish Villa in late August. It was quite hot (over 100F every day) so the pool area was part of each day and one of the highlights of our stay. The pool was clean and included a waterfall and a jacuzzi. Being able to enjoy the pool anytime we wanted was a real plus and one of the main reasons for renting the house as opposed to staying at a hotel on the strip, or at one of the many casino resorts in the area. Being a rental and in heavy use throughout the year, there was evidence of wear and tear around the house but this is to be expected. Any shortcomings that we brought to Steve's attention that could easily be taken care of immediately were; Steve was very accommodating and attentive to our requests and receptive to suggestions for improvement. At about 1700 square feet there was lots of room for us to spread out -- much better than renting 3 hotel rooms, which was our other option. The beds were very comfortable although a selection of different pillows would have been nice. The location of the house was excellent -- quiet, private and no problems with the neighbours. The District is not very far away but more suited to driving than walking. There are quite a few restaurants in the area -- I recommend Lucille's Smokehouse in The District for authentic slow-cooked ribs, chicken and pulled pork -- and of course there is a large casino located there as as well. The villa is about 7 minutes from the McCarren Rental Car Centre on Gilespie and more like 10-15 minutes from the strip based on my driving experience. Not far from the house on Green Valley Parkway is a Smith's Foods store open 24 hours (about 3 minutes away by car). Steve provided a Smith's discount card for groceries and beverages that was much appreciated as it saved us quite a bit on food and alchohol. Selection at the store was very good and staff were exceptionally friendly. If you are planning to do some food prep at the house, I would highly recommend you bring along one or two of your favourite knives -- those at the house were on the dull side which made it difficult to cut up fruit and veggies. Suspecting the knives might be dull (based on previous experiences) I brought a touch-up knife sharpener but it didn't help in this case. All in all a good experience, excellent location, safe and convenient and I would not hesitate to rent it again or recommend the Spanish Villa to a friend. Thanks Steve for a positive experience.

The minor wear and tear issues are scheduled for repair on September 11th 2011. Regarding the knives and pillows a simple call to us always resolves any short comings. However, we do provide over 7 pillows per bed and there is only one perfect pillow! your personal pillow, kinda like a teddy bear. Beautiful Home

Our family spent a lovely week at this home. It is only a short drive to Las Vegas but when you are relaxing by the pool you could be a million miles away from the buzz of the strip its a real gem in the desert. The interior of the home is exactly as described and is very spacious can't think of anything that could improve it. The owner is freindly and helpful but not at all intrusive. The home is near to plenty of restaurants and is only a short drive from Lake Mead and Boulder Citiy. We had a wonderful week at this home and would highly recommend it ,you will not be disappointed. Lovely home just the right distance from the Strip

We rented the Spanish villa mainly for the use of the private pool. It is too small for swimming laps, but just the right size for cooling off after roasting in the hot sun. The attached jacuzzi was great for end-of-the-night relaxing. When renting a vacation home I think that it really makes a difference when it is the owner who is checking you in and doing the service. I've had friends who have had vacation home rental disasters. The owner was great. I had to ask a minor question about the house and he got back to me right away. There are a lot of services provided at this house. The ones that won big points with me were: -wireless internet access -very private pool -outdoor stereo speakers and a connection from Ipod to stereo -garage parking -lovely landscaping without grass (I hate seeing lush lawns in the desert) It is really only 10 min to the Strip. However, once you get on Las Vegas Blvd, traffic doesn't really move so anticipate that it will take longer to get to your destination particularly if you are going to the mid-Strip locations (Bellagio, Venetian, Caesars, etc). I would certainly recommend the Spanish Villa to any of my friends looking to stay just outside of Las Vegas.

The house was amazing! From 7 to 70 my family loved the spacious home, the location was perfect, and the ease of renting was a luxury. Discovering the District and the awesome restaurants was a treat! The proximity to everything made it very enjoyable. My daughter now wants her own pool after spending each day in yours, and her swimming has vastly improved. Thank you again for opening your home to us. I hope we may be able to rent again soon.

my family and i have just returned from a wonderful holiday to las vegas staying in a great villa. All the comforts of home are here to make your stay as easy as possible. Steve the owner was informative on everything about the villa and the surrounding area. If traffic is not bad then the villa is an ideal distance from vegas - giving some peace and quiet from the bustle. we loved the pool and it was used alot. a lovely well landscaped garden to relax in. I had ordered a supermarket delivery to be at the villa when we arrived and someone had put items away. if i had to suggest one small improvement especially to customers visiting from overseas would be to be given very specific details on how to contact steve ie area codes etc because after a long flight it took us a while to contact steve and gain entry - but that is the only thing we can think of to improve the villa experience. loved red rock canyon,las vegas at night. grand canyon and we saw a great show pure vegas viva elvis. we will definately be back some day. angela and john - england

I was new to homeaway and was pretty nervous in renting without knowing what to expect. Steve was very accomidating and after having inspected the house we rented the place and at the end we were happy we did. I am happy with the service of the owner and do not have any complaints. The house is situated 10 min south east of the strip. You would need a rental car. There are shops located close by and some good restaurants are available as well. The house itself is in great condition and provides everything you need. Its like staying at a friend's house with all the . Internet and cable TV are included. The property was clean and well maintained. We stayed with 6 adults and a baby and had an enjoyable time in the house. We would stay here again if we go again.

Perfect Girls Getaway

Absolutely loved our stay!! It was the perfect way to visit Las Vegas. To be in "Sin City" away from the hustle and bustle of the strip (but still close enough to make the ride to lose some money). The pool was absolutely glorious and it's where we spent most of our time! It was the most relaxing vacation and enjoyed every part of your beautiful house! BBQ grille was great and being able to sit on the covered patio was perfect. Thanks for everything Steve!!

THE HOUSE WAS EXACTLY HOW IT WAS DESCRIBED, CLEAN, WELL MAINTAINED AND PERFECTLY LOCATED. CLOSE ENOUGH TO ALL THE MAIN ATTRACTIONS OF THE STRIP, YET FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO RELAX. THE OUTDOOR SPACE WAS INCREDIBLE. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN. THE OWNER WAS FRIENDLY, HELPFUL YET NEVER INTRUDED. THIS WAS BETTER THAN A HOTEL. YOU WILL NEED A CAR BUT EVERYTHING WE WANTED WAS NO MORE THAN A 15 MINUTE DRIVE.

perfect for family

We travel to Vegas often and have stayed at almost all of the hotels on the strip. We were bringing our three young teenage boys this time for an entire week and were worried about boredom, cost, etc. This house was perfect. Literally took us ten minutes to get to Fremont St., 5 to get to the strip, and it was far enough away from all of it. The pool kept the boys busy, while everything we needed was within walking distance of the Green Valley District. If you want easy quick access to everything Vegas, along with safe comfortable beautifully relaxing surroundings, you couldn't ask for anything better. Actually thinking about moving to Vegas and this is where we would pick to live. Thanks to Steve for a wonderful spring break environment.

We stayed for 5 days and could have stayed longer, the house is well equipped, clean and well looked after and is everything it is advertised to be, loved the pool! The area is great and a very safe place to relax and unwind after a long day on the strip. Kid and family friendly and the owner is amazing, honest and there is no gamble with this place. When you find a good thing stick with it, I will be back and I will stay here!

I have to say The Spanish Villa is the Best Vacation Home for the $$. We walk to the local Starbucks in the morning, dined in The District and gambled at the Green Valley Ranch Resort Casino and all walking distance. The kitchen is fully stocked with fabulous cookware, silverware, appliances and dishware. The new Jennair Grill is to die for and the Master bedroom balcony is huge. I highly recommend pool heating in the winter and I must say this! When steam rolls off the pool nothing lioke diving into the Crystal Clear Water its Heavenly. Well worth the little extra $$ for pool heating. Thats the Wow factor! The bedding is so comfortable and clean that I'm never nervous snuggling into bed knowing its all good. Hi Steve & Lucy; Once again your Fabulous home exceeded our expectations!!! The Master Bedroom Balcony is so private I could sunbath in total privacy "no tan lines here" The pool water is so crystal clear and is the icing on the cake. I also have to mention the neat park only two doors down from the house, great for a little beach volley ball or a place for the kids to run around. And of course you have such good taste in decorating and furnishing the home. The Spanish Villa has such a wonderful feel, its quite charming. We we're thrilled with our vacation to Las Vegas!! The location couldn't have been better for us. We've been to Vegas before and we have 3 kids so being on the strip wasn't a big deal. In fact, we experienced Vegas without all the sensory overload we usually feel. The property is beautiful and spacious. The pool was heated and we swam all week even though it was in the 60's. This is way better then travelling through our Condo program. We had space to spread out and it definately felt like home. Thanks Steve! If we come back to Vegas, we'll definately stay at your home.

Our weekend at the Spanish Villa was awesome. My husband was turning 50, so we had friends come from Michigan, California and Utah. We are from Arizona and my husbands parents live there in Henderson. The kitchen had everything needed, and I was able to cook a large Prime Rib dinner for 9 and bake a birthday cake. We are trying to figure a time in the future when we can return to the Villas for another stay. It has plenty of room and all the amenities needed. We have already forwarded the web page of the Spanish Villa to several friends, because we were so impressed with the space. Thanks to Steve for making the rental process so easy. If you ever want to go to Vegas and great hideaway, or be close enough but far enough from all the hussle and bussle, this is the house for you. We had a wonderful time here. It was like walking into our own house. Everything was absolutely wonderful. It was a great quiet day life, and an exciting night life. All minutes away from the strip. I recommend this house to anyone who wants to experience it all.

Dear Steve; We really enjoyed our stay at the house June 16-23. I don't think there was anything else we could have asked for. The house was wonderful. I wouldn't be surprised if we were to repeat our stay again. Thank you for offing such a nice house to us that really made our vacation wonderful. My husband and I have stayed at many fine hotels & wanted something different, We found this web sight Home away and were very sceptical. We stayed in the Spanish Villa during the week of Thanksgiving 2007. The house was beautiful, and had everything we needed and more! We came to Vegas for a youth football tournament, and the house was close enough to the strip, just a short 5-10 minute drive(depending on traffic), but it was also far enough away from the strip to feel safe with kids. The house is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood, and I can't say enough about the pool & spa. The pool was heated to the perfect temp, and the kids swam everyday! Cinco de Mayo has come and gone and we had a fantastic time at the Spanish Villa. To anyone who wants a to stay at a beautiful home that's in a nice neighborhood just blocks from Green Valley Ranch and a 10 minute ride from the strip, this place is it. The nicely landscaped yard gets lots of sun and the pool is exactly as pictured. Steve takes great care of this property and it shows. He's a gracious, unobtrusive host and there's no doubt we will be back. The Spanish Villa exceeded all of our expectations and was nicely equipted with all of the necessary amenities (including WIFI). Thanks again, Steve.

Hi Steve, My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing vacation staying at this villa. The villa is about 10 miinutes drive to the strip. The backyard is very private. My kids love the pool, they played in the pool everyday during our stay. This property is truly lovely, even more lovely than pictures. I would highly recommend to my friends who would visit Vegas with family or friends. I like your wireless internet access. Thank you. Cong

Cheers Steve for such a beautiful home. The location is one of the best in our travels of the US being only 5 minutes to The Strip and walking distance to Green Valley Ranch Resort & The District. Steve, Thank you for sharing your Lovely Home with us. We enjoyed every minute of our visit. The pool and hot tub were wonderful after a long day of walking & one-armed bandet pulling. The back yard was an amazing haven. The location is PERFECT-minutes to everywhere. (The folks at Smith's Grocery know us for sure!) Your home provided the Ideal Spot for our family-we had such fun & created cherished memories. You can be sure we will return & will recommend your lovely home to our friends & family as well! Steve, Thank you for a wonderful stay. Your house is gorgeous, and pool is a delight. Just like the pics! Recommended for any visitor wanting a quiet oasis but still close to the strip.
