What a great relaxing location. Nice and quiet, in a great little area. This is the place for romantic getway for two! Or if you do have kids, there is an outside attached cottage for them to have their own space. Right on the water for great views and morning and afternoon breezes. Property is obviously well cared for and everything was in great shape. The owner and property manager were very attentive and made themselves available should we need them. The location was great, centrally located in the keys. And just a short drive from Marathon where you can get about anything you may need. There are multiple restraunts a short drive away. And Key West was about an hour drive. All in all a fantastic spot to stay, highly reccomended!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks Chrissey. You left the place looking great! Much appreciated. Come back in our slow season this Fall and enjoy a substantial discount off of our already low-low rates. Frank

We stayed one week and highly recommend Conch House. Both outside and inside were spotless and we found everything that we needed easily. Fishing boats left each morning from the canal and returned before dark. Watching them became a pastime. The sunsets from the porch were hypnotic. Accurate to a tee describes both the listing and the photos. Even the neighbors were friendly. We highly recommend this vacation spot.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What a great place! The house was well-equipped and very clean when we arrived. The photos accurately reflect the grounds and furnishings but do not do it justice! We were so pleasantly surprised at all of the outdoor spaces and how roomy everything was. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends and relatives. We enjoyed the Island Fish House, The Wreck, the Dolphin Research Center and used Pier 68 on Long Key for boat rental. All very good experiences. Our group included a dog who did very well here. The children, ages 11 and 7, loved swimming and floating in the canal. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly. My daughter cooked several meals in the kitchen; all of the appliances worked well. The internet was in use a lot of the time and worked pretty well. It was a perfect vacation and it was definitely hard to leave. We made some wonderful family memories there!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We wanted to rent a place in the keys to celebrate our anniversary. Our one regret about going on vacation is leaving our two girls, dogs in our case, behind. So we decided to find accommodations that were pet friendly. We also wanted to bring a canoe. Long story short, everything worked out great. The house was exactly as we hoped. Very private and comfortable as well as pet friendly. Very authentic old Florida... Great kitchen and cool air... we got in a routine pretty quick... canoe right off the house in the morning... eat breakfast... go snorkeling at the numerous close locations...find a local restaurant for some fresh fish... and then a relaxing afternoon and evening reading on the porch with our pups followed by a walk on the delightful island... here's the thing, there were almost no mosquitoes or no-see-ums in the middle of summer, which is amazing... the cool breeze off the water made early afternoon in the shade awesome. Facilities were great. Internet, Cable let us stay connected a little to world...bed was comfy... decor was classic old Florida. Missing it already.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

What a true dream. Stayed at this beautiful home and it was wonderful. Quiet and quaint key with all the amenities, comfort, scenery and peacefulness. Highly recommend getting a boat to explore the waters. Visited by a manatee and see turtle nightly. Can’t wait to come back. Conch Key is the perfect Mid Key locale to see this area of Florida. We used the house as a base for exploring down to Key West (1.5 hrs) and north. The house was immaculate on arrival. We were pleased that it was recently renovated and had up to date appliances and furniture. The Master Bedroom was very comfortable and the outdoor areas were numerous and had great views. The area is very quiet for sleeping. We had two manatees visit us at our dock. It was interesting to watch the crab boats come and go along the canal. We were close to 4 Diamond dining at Hawks Cay Resort and there were numerous casual spots for lunch and dinner within 20 minutes. Bahia Honda State Park is close by and has the best beach in the USA for two years in a row. What a treasure! All our expectations and needs were surpassed at Conch Key. We will return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed at the Conch Key house Jan 7-14 for a family vacation. They had everything we could have ever wanted available, even things we wouldn't have thought of! When we arrived the house was very clean and ready for us to enjoy our vacation. The property is quaint and it's in a quiet neighborhood. There are so many outdoor spaces to enjoy, and the sunsets are beautiful. We enjoyed using the kitchen and grill to cook amazing seafood! I would highly recommend this place, and I hope we are able to return!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We have vacationed many times on Conch Key starting in 1956-1990. On this visit we were so happy to see that the key had not changed that much. Conch Key is still a very peaceful and beautiful key. We enjoyed your wonderful home on the canal with it's beautiful views, amble dock space, outside porches, and breathtaking sights from the roof. After walking around the key we all decided that this is the house we definetly would rent again. We were fortunate to meet Captain Scott Anderson,Conch Key, who took us on a tour in his boat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family of four just enjoyed a wonderful week in this home. It's hard to know where to begin... We brought our own 25` boat and were impressed with the amount of private dock space. We saw a manatee and leatherback turtle right at the dock! There's quick access to back country fishing, offshore fishing, lobstering, and a country store with a gas station and boat ramp just around the corner. The sunsets from the upper balcony were amazing!!! We had a great time filleting fresh fish, grilling out back, and eating dinner in the tiki hut each evening. It was a quiet neighborhood, the house was immaculate with everything we needed to enjoy a perfect vacation. It was hard to leave and we definitely plan to come back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Conch Key:
Conch Key is a unique island. It is the last of the Keys Fishing Villages and still is active. Lobstmen and Fishermen motor in and out of our canal, on their way to the Florida Bay and Ocean. You can sit on the canal side porch and watch them, while sharing your favorite drink with family and friends. A Great White Heron may join you as they wait for scraps from the fishermen. The sunsets are unbelievable and the lifestyle is easy. Escape the obvious to the real.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Great family vacation house with quick, easy access to the Ocean and Florida Bay. Wonderful sunsets and interesting views of the local fishermen traveling in and out of the canal from our 65 foot dock.
