Another year and we enjoyed the cottage, pond, wild life, sunrises and sunsets. It was a peaceful few short days that we were able to have to relax. We look forward to a return trip. It was also nice to drive around the countryside, buy apples and different kinds of squash. Fall is a beautiful time in Maine. Thanks.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage with our two daughters! We swam everyday; the water was perfect! Kids loved the many boardgames and movies at the cottage, too!

Our retreat from the hustle and bustle of busy lives was realized during our stay at the cottage on Bear Pond. What a location! The water was perfect for swimming and the cottage was adorable and fully stocked with all the necessities that we needed. Fishing was pretty good - caught bass, pickerel and perch which provided a delicious dinner at the end of the week. We have already praised this rental to all our friends and would love to return for another stay in the near future. Enjoy!!

My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Bear Pond. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It was clean and well-maintained. The lake was great for swimming - very clean and the perfect temperature. The kids (big and small) enjoyed the water trampoline and row boat. The kids slept in the bunk house, very close by, but separate. We all enjoyed watching the loon family's daily routines. The grocery store was nearby and well stocked. I highly recommend a stay here - we are looking forward to returning next year.

Unimaginably peaceful and relaxing. Time just seems to stop... seriously, we stayed a week and it felt like a wondrous month! Great amount of privacy. The water trampoline was a huge hit with my two nieces (and a guilty pleasure of mine). Loved the seating/sunbathing area by the water, the A/C, the fire pit, and the grill with a backup tank of propane. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about the Sandersons and the camp owners speak highly of them as well! We will definitely make this our annual vacation destination.

Clean, Character & Charm all describe this fantastic cottage. What a beautiful setting for a beautiful place. Our babysitter had the bunkhouse to herself & we enjoyed the main cabin. It had everything we needed. If you are considering a trip to ME, Bear Pond will not disappoint you.

We stayed the week of May 8th. The cabin is exactly as pictured, very comfortable, warm and homey feeling. The owners are very accomodating and leave good instructions in case they are needed. We don't use the bunkhouse but it is adorable for extra people. It was cool some nights and the new stove kept the whole place warm. Newly remodeled bathroom is great. Area wise we visited Freeport, Yarmouth, Auburn/Lewiston, did lots of shopping, eating lobster and other special Maine foods...like fiddleheads. It is quiet and peaceful when you get back to the cabin after shopping and running all day. This was our second time to stay here and we hope to come back again in a year or two. We were a bit early for using the nice picnic table and adirondack chairs or getting to fish...maybe next time. Rent it and ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY Maine at its best!!!

We stayed during the last week of August and can truly say that this was one of the most memorable and peaceful family vacations we have ever had. Our three older children absolutely loved having their own private space in the bunk house and it afforded us alot of peace and quiet in the mornings. The cabin itself is very sweet, clean and well equipped. There is also a great, inexpensive grocery store just 10 minutes away. We spent almost all of our time outdoors, because the location is just gorgeous. The kids loved being able to swim whenever they felt like it and the lake is pristine. My husband enjoyed the rowboat and paddled around and fished for hours (although he didn't catch much!). We have a one year old toddler who thoroughly enjoyed spending his week toddling around in the soft "lawn" of pine needles. We walked, hiked, swam, fished, played board games and watched movies at night. We ate all of our meals at the picnic table under the picturesque tall pines and just enjoyed being a family. No rushing around, no TV blaring, away from all of the trappings of our regular life. It was marvelous! We also got to see a little bit of Maine by visiting places such as the Maine Game Farm (a great little zoo type place in Grey), Freeport (home of LL Bean) and a few places along the coast. Our kids ate their first lobsters at a seafood shack and we all agree that this won't be our last visit to Maine. The owners are exceptionally nice folks who were very accommodating. They patiently answered all of our questions and gave us some great recommendations. We can't wait for next summer to return!

As we were familiar with the rental from years past visiting the "neighbors" next door, we were not surprised as to the quality of the cottage and its environs. We found it spotless, with all the necessary amenities for a most enjoyable visit.
