What an amazing place to stay! I looked at TONS of properties and Gary and Bev's place is by far the best value for what you get. We got there and Gary took the time to inform us of anything and everything he felt would help: i.e. tips on tourist attractions, fun things the locals do, how to help our two young kids feel comfortable in the water. The property was nice and clean, and felt like home for the 9 days we stayed. My children loved playing on the boogie boards, chasing cats, and running around outside. I would chose this place in a heart beat if we ever go back. Thanks so much Gary and Bev for your hospitality, kindness, and opening your home to us. We loved it!

Perfect Vacation Spot

My family and I stayed here Nov 22-29, 2011 and were very excited about this place. It was a great location, right across from the sunset beach which we walked every morning. They had bike for us to ride and a nice bike trail to follow. We have 2 kids, both 4 yrs old so easy access was key. This also had a nice area in the front to sit and let the kids wonder around as well as a side driveway where they could play ball and draw hop scotch (the owners dropped off some chalk and a ball...small things make a difference especially to kids!) We had a washer and dryer to use and beach stuff as well. We will be coming back, hopefully soon! Thanks for everything Gary and Bev, Mahalo!

Great Vacation

Recently had a wonderful week long stay at Gary & Bev's. They were extremely hospitable and the condo/apartment was fantastic. Clean & equiped with everything we needed and parking was readily available. We rode bikes on the bike path the 3 miles to Shark's Cove and 3 Tables to snorkel, and walked to the beach across the street for great sunsets. Gary & Bev were great and even supplied beach towels and snorkel gear for us! A car is a must. The grocery store is ~3 miles away and Haliewa is ~6-7 miles away. Such a great find, for a fantastic price...we will definately be back. Mahalo, ~Kim & Kris

We stayed here for about 10 days and absolutely loved the place. Very clean and the best owners you could ever hope to meet. Very friendly and very helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do. Our son absolutely loved playing with their grandson who lives with them. You are not that far from all the Waikiki stuff but you are far enough away to be out of all the hustle and bustle. The drive is beautiful. I highly recommend driving around the north part of the island. It's beautiful!

We (4 of us) just came back from this condo. I couldn't say enough about this place ! It's just beautiful and tasteful, never wanted to leave. Owner Bev and Garry lives right above and took care every need... you ask for it he will get it ! Beach is only 5 min. walk and one of most calm, beautiful and private. Ted's Bakery is also 5 min away, we enjoyed morning walk to get famous delicious baked goods. Can't ask for more.. Thanks Bev and Garry !! We will be back !

North Shore

Gary and Bev were very nice, and this condo was perfect for our family. Having a washer and dryer is a life saver for a family of 4. Beautiful weather and beaches.. Can't wait to come back to Hawaii. Thanks for taking good care of us. Very easy to work with!

Don"t let the price fool you....it isn't a private home on the beach but fantastic beaches are a few homes away and you can choose to have as much privacy as you want. We enjoyed Gary and Bev but you never knew anyone lived above you. They are more than willing to help you in anyway they can. The newly remodled studio type two bedroom rental is beautiful, clean, well maintained and comfortable. Parking you don't have to pay, bikes, coolers, use of washer/dryer any beach items they have. ENJOY SEVERAL DRINKS ON THE BEACH WHILE WATCHING THE BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS AND OCEAN THEN WALK HOME. We had fresh fish, thanks to Bev and Gary sharing what a friend had given them. We were pleasantly suprised and thankful to have found a great place on the Northshore!

This is probably the best value on the North Shore. My wife and i were stoked to discover this place. We come to Hawaii every year and we have found our new spot! it is close to all the famous surf breaks, Turtle Bay, it's quiet, new and CLEAN. We will definately be back! We have been burned sooo many times before... never again will we have to worry about trick photography or barely-accurrate property descriptions! Velzyland beach house rules!

Never again will we stay in a hotel when weI come to Hawaii. The location was just wonderful and most importantly, it was VERY clean. The photos accurately reflected the house but I don't think that showed just how CLEAN that it was. Gary and Bev were a joy to work with and I hope we can stay in this home again this fall when we come to visit our daughter. Would recommend this house to anyone.

Aloha! Bev & Gary are good folk and have a fantastic place. Easy access to everything on the North Shore. All the comforts of home just a couple blocks from both Ted's Bakery (my fav place on the North Shore) & one of the most beautiful & relaxing beaches on Oahu (in the Summer). Very neat, clean, and inviting. What more could one ask for? 4-Stars! 2 Thumbs Up! Highly Recommend! Mahalo!

My family and I just returned from an amazing stay here. The accomodations are gorgeous and immaculate, the location is ideal for checking out the North Shore, and Bev & Gary are wonderful people. We only hope that it is not too long before we can return! This is truly a "home away from home."

Just stayed in this wonderful spot. Accommodations are immaculate,spacious, and include everything you may need.I highly recommend this rental. You will find the "Aloha Spirit" here, and take some home with you. The owners are friendly, hospitable and full of helpful island information.

I spent almost three weeks in Bev & Gary's wonderful rental, and had a wonderful relaxing time! Gary built it himself, and he did a great job. Bev and Gary live upstairs, and were super nice-- went snorkeling with Gary one day. It has a full kitchen plus use of a gas grill! There is a great beach just across the street and all the other North Shore beaches within just a few minutes drive. I spent most of my time snorkeling, but look forward to coming back and seeing the big waves in the winter--definitely an ideal rental for surfers in the winter.
