A "Hibiscus Cottage" is the only thing you will need when you arrive at this exclusive home in Santa Rosa Beach.
In a prime location on the beachside of Highway 30-A, the village of Old Florida Cottages has a park-like setting with a neighborhood pool. The house is in the center of this neighborhood, and literally overlooks the pool.
Beach access is also very close- approximately 200 yards from the house. The neighborhood is only seconds away from some of the best restaurants on 30-A, including Cafe Tango and Goatfeathers. Shopping is also very nearby- Grand Boulevard, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, and Destin Commons are all within 15 minutes. The Old Florida Cottages are close to the other communities of Watercolor, Seaside, Seacrest, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach.
We also offer special concierge services which include bike rentals, babysitting, and even grocery shopping! All items can be delivered to your house prior to your arrival, so you won't have to waste any of your precious vacation time waiting in lines, or renting equipment.
Old Florida Cottages is a very child and pet friendly environment, with pathways and roads great for walking dogs, bike riding, running, etc. The house also welcomes pets, with an additional non-refundable pet fee.

We were hesitant about staying in Hibiscus after reading the 2010 review, but other accommodations were all booked. We were very pleasantly surprised at the immaculate condition of the property. The living room, dining area and kitchen were especially nice. And the kitchen was equipped with everything we would ever need including dishes and silverware for over 10 people. The air conditioning unit is in a closet in the downstairs bathroom so I suspect that is the offender of the musty smell in the 2010 reviewer's comment. We found no bugs in the kitchen or elsewhere, and we found NO third floor as mentioned in the previous review. All the bedrooms are on the second floor and all equipped with clean linens and covers. The decor in the master bedroom is somewhat dated, but the king-size mattress is very comfortable and firm. (The mattress in the second bedroom was comfortable as well. We didn't use the third bedroom.) The pool can be seen from the upstairs and downstairs decks. And pool noise can be heard from the master bedroom. For those who are in need of wireless internet connection, we found there to be none, but the sun was shining so we had better things to do. :-) I would certainly stay at Hibiscus again.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway.

We have been coming to Santa Rosa for 10 years and this is the worst property we have stayed in. The 3rd floor couch/bed was stained and very dirty..the 1st floor bathroom smelled moldy...none of the lights worked on the decks...there wasn't enough pots and pans to cook with....we had to call to get a vacuum cleaner..there were bugs in the kitchen. Would not recommend this property to adults...might be fine for spring breakers.
