In the heart of the Perigord Noir, the richest region in Dordogne with all the prehistoric sites, medieval castles, the most beautiful fortified towns like Monpazier, the most famous abbeys such as Cadouin, pilgrimage stage of the Way of Saint James. You will easily find the Farguettes Estate, to the south-west of Sarlat, to the south of Perigueux, to the east of Bergerac, the three towns that delimit the Golden Triangle of Dordogne.
Farguettes Estate is first a site that is opened to 300 degrees on a panorama that looks like a Renaissance painting, where the endless blue skyline recalls Baudelaire's 'sky balconies'.
No immediate neighbours, no visual or noise disturbance.
A dirt road crosses at first a chestnut tree forest, and then opens on a Tuscany landscape: hilly meadows planted with cypresses, linden trees, plane trees.
Manoir des Farguettes was built in 1664 by companions who signed their work with a simple stone star and this date. The abodes owe their charm both to the knowledge of those who built them and to the nobility of the materials used. Inside, the restoration as well as the decoration show taste for authenticity: it is more an essential item or piece of furniture than a profusion lost in the anecdote. The pottery made by Francoise de Torrenté is directly part of daily life and the books and CDs in the living room/library enrich it with their presence.

Nous avons apprécié un cadre exceptionnel entre amis. En pleine nature et bénéficiant d'un panorama privilégié, le domaine est un savant mélange de charme et de confort. Il est également à proximité de nombreux sites à découvrir. Rien ne manque et tout incite à la détente.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

J'ai eu le plaisir d'y séjourner il y a deux ans maintenant avec des amis. Je dois dire, que j'ai passé un séjour formidable dans cette partie du Périgord qui est pour moi la plus belle. Le site de la propriété est exceptionnel et on peut rester des heures à comtempler le paysage qui nous entoure. J'ajouterai que la propriété est superbe avec tout le confort moderne et que l'on s'y sent chez soi. De plus, tous les sites les plus intéressants du Périgord sont proches (Beynac, Castelnaud...)Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Accueil excellent La maison respire le bien vivre, la nature et la culture, à l'image de la région.
