My wife and I spent out honeymoon here. Everything we needed was right there. The view was fantastic the area was great it was just a very pleasant all around experience. This was my forth trip to the Kihei area. This will be the first place I will look to stay upon my return. My only gripe was that the pots and pans were so much nicer than mine I had to buy my wife new ones when we got home. lol Dan & Mary

You will not find a better deal than this. Opening my eyes daily to the Beautiful Ocean View that accompanies the master bedroom was such a treat. Many times did we sit out on our patio and watch wales that seemed oh so close. I wish I had brought some binoculars (this would have been spectacular) but you could still see them very well. Great Pool, Life sized shuffle board, Volley Ball Net/field for Frisbee and Foot ball and basically your own private Beach. Our Vacation was a blast and if I ever go back to Maui, this will be the first/only call I make.

Best deal on the island in my opinion. Dont have anything to complain about other than I had to make my own bed. :) Condo is on the top floor that gives you a great view of the bay. The closet of goodies was a surprise. It had a couple of beach chairs, some toys, a mat. We added a couple of boogey boards to the collection. Thanks again Simon!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Gem of Maui for our honeymoon in July 2007. It was absolutely fabulous! Very neat and clean, and exactly as pictured. The view was AMAZING!! I loved that the bedroom and living room shared the lanai, AND that the lanai was very private. It was also very conveniently located to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and pretty much everything else. I would love to stay here again.

Had a great time; our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We stayed 4 nights here, 2 nights in Hana, and 1 night in one of those resort places up past Lahaina; we should have stayed in the condo an extra night and skipped the resort (Hana was great, too, but that's an entirely different type of experience). If you've never been to Maui, rest assured that this condo is very well situated to get you to everything on the island. The only downside is that the beach here isn't the greatest; but on the other hand there are really nice beaches just down the road. Since it's fairly close to S. Kihei Rd. we were worried that it would be noisy at night, but that wasn't the case; everything quiets down nicely in the evening (and if you don't want quiet, Kihei has a lot of nightlife). The condo is well set up, and the welcome basket was very nice. There's something about waking up in the morning to the sound of the wind in the palm trees that's very soothing.

All we can say is, "Thank you!" As long time friends, we came in late July to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversaries and renew our vows on the beach in beautiful Maui. This condo was absolutely wonderful. . .clean, comfortable, beautiful view from the lanai, centrally located, and so many wonderful things to do within an easy drive. The tradewinds in the afternoon were amazing; we found several local restaurants that were excellent and inexpensive; open air markets at which we had fun shopping; and people who were so friendly. Our dinner at Mama's Fish House will not be forgotten!! Again, thank you so much for opening up your wonderful home to us! You helped us make great memories!!

This condo was absolutely gorgeous! I loved waking up to see the ocean right next to us (we slept with the sliding doors open each night to enjoy the ocean). We were impressed with the decor. We did think that the decor in the spare room should have been the decor in the master bedroom because it was more romantic. Condo was very clean and the people at the front desk was very nice.

Wonderful place to stay-- we had a great time. You thought of everything your guests might need right down to the tape and scissors! The view is great- love to see lights across the bay at night. Very well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, clean, nicely appointed. What else could we ask for? Thanks for the "Welcome" basket, too!

Wow! Can you beat the view from the shower/jaccuzi? I found the Japanese decor quite refreshing and the pillowtop mattress was oh-so-comfortable! We had some powerful trade winds while here and the patio doors were very noisy at times. We really enjoyed the Britta pitcher and the "Welcome" basket was a very nice surprise. Thanks for sharing with us!

What a delight! We were somewhat concerned about staying here at the Kauhale Makai in view of comments noted online. I found them all false! Beautiful, clean and comfortable we found our accommodations here. Thank you for sharing your "home" in Maui!

Very nice condo, beautiful ocean view and friendly people in the complex. We had a really good time here. A must thing to do is Molokini and Turtle Town. We had a great time, too bad it went by quick.

This is a lovely condo, turn-key condition, with a fantastic ocean view and near some of the most popular areas in Kihei such as beach parks and Sugar Beach. Besides, the amenities in this complex such as swimming pool, spa, and convenience store make this place a wonderful option to any guests.
