Our beautiful one bedroom apartment is superbly located in one of Paris's most desirable neighborhoods, the Carré des Antiquaires. Boutiques, restaurants and cafés surround the charming and quiet street, Rue de Beaune. An easy walk to the Musée d'Orsay, Boulevard Saint Germain, the Louvre Museum and the Seine, there is no better spot from which to enjoy your stay in Paris.
The 17th century building has been completely refurbished and includes a lovely marble entryway and modern elevator. The recently renovated apartment is located on the third French floor. The layout is ideal with the living room facing the street and the bedroom on a quiet courtyard.
Decorated with an emphasis on soothing beige, green and rose tones, the general feeling is one of comfort and calm. The apartment measures 55 square meters though it feels larger due to the excellent floorplan and 3 large windows in the living room. The floors throughout the apartment are done in parquet and marble. Rich area rugs provide contrast and warmth.
The living room offers plenty of comfortable seating, as well as a dining area with antique sideboard. Sit at the round table and enjoy your morning coffee and buttery croissants while the quartier comes to life. Or wind down at the end of the day with a glass of champagne by candlelight, and watch the street lamps glimmer in the growing dusk.
Down filled pillows await on the sink-in comfortable couch. A beautiful daybed with trundle pullout converts to a top quality twin bed. Several side tables with good lamps for reading and a mirror above an antique chest add warmth. Two bookcases hold lots of guidebooks, including the owners’ "Best of Paris" recommendations for neighborhood walks, restaurants, museums, and boulangeries.
A small hall leads to a half bath with toilet and sink. The bedroom and bathroom are located at the end of this hall, ensuring privacy and quiet from activity in the living room. The bathroom features a full-size tub with fixed showerhead, large sink, towel warmer and lots of storage.
Across the hall, the bedroom offers two twin or one king-size bed made up with good quality sheets, duvets and down pillows for a peaceful night’s sleep. Built-in cupboards on either side of the bed provide both drawers and hanging storage. The window, which looks onto an inner courtyard, floods the room with morning light. Good reading lamps, an antique framed mirror and artwork complete this room.
The kitchen features an open, inviting feel and includes an antique cafe table with chairs and a marble topped bar. Painted cupboards and stone tiled counters lend an air of authenticity but the appliances are all new, the lighting perfect, the Krups coffee maker ready to go. We have just added an espresso machine and milk steamer/frother. Everything you need to cook a gourmet meal (or just heat one up) is here.
You will be met at the apartment by our agent in Paris. He will give you the keys, a tour of the apartment and make sure you are comfortably settled.
Weekly maid service is included in the price.
This apartment is perfect for two people.

Gorgeous One Bedroom Near Musee D'Orsay and Blvd St. Germain
Year Purchased: 2005
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
My husband and I fell in love with Paris when we were 20 years old and he came to spend Christmas with me, my junior year abroad. Twenty-five years later we fell in love with Paris all over again and bought an apartment on rue de Beaune, in the 7th arrondissement, very near the 6th. We completly renovated the apartment to create a perfect, peaceful nest. We go as often as we can and when we're not there we rent to guests. Our amazing guests sometimes become our very dear friends. Meeting people who love Paris as much as we do has been such a gift.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
If you walk out the door to our building and take a right, you'll see the Seine and the Louvre. Take a left from our door and within 5 minutes you're walking down Blvd. St. Germain. Our favorite Sunday ritual is walking up to the organic market on Raspail, buying a roasted chicken and vegetables, some cheeses and a tart for dessert. On the way back to the apartment we stop at the news stand and buy the Herald Tribune. Of course the wine has been chilling in the refrigerator since Saturday afternoon. We each take a couch in the living room, get under quilts and read and sip our coffee until we're hungry for Sunday lunch. After, we take a long walk along the Seine, usually ending up at Chez Francis for a glass of champagne and Eiffel Tower fix!

We live on the coast of Maine where I was born and raised. My husband adopted Maine as his home since he lived all over the country growing up. We have two daughters ages 24 and 27 and a 13 year old yellow lab named Chance. We love Paris and Provence almost as much as we love Maine. We feel very blessed to have homes in our two favorite places in the world. We are all studying French (except for Chance - he's already bilingual).

The foundation of a perfect week!

Thank you for helping us enjoy a truly outstanding week in Paris. This was our fifth trip to Paris in the past 8 years and was the best yet. We really enjoyed staying in your apartment. As we arrived Joseph was waiting to let us in. He answered all our questions and we immediately felt at home. It was so relaxing to be able to have a place we could call “home” everyday. The apartment was absolutely spotless. The living room was comfortable and cozy; the kitchen was perfect for making daily breakfast as well as eating “in” two nights; the bedroom was nice and quiet. It was also nice having a well-sized bath…definitely something rarely seen in a Paris hotel. Paris is one of our favorite places in the world. The little neighborhood around Rue de Bac, between St Germain & the Seine is our favorite in Paris. We felt as if we were, if just for a moment, living there instead of just visiting. I know we will be coming back and know that staying in hotels are behind us. We hope to be in contact soon about another “Heart of Paris” stay.

This trip to Paris was our 3rd in 5 years, and by far the best. The location of this apartment is perfect for museums visits, dining, and just enjoying the cafe life. We especially enjoyed the little extras, like the Nespresso machine, dishwasher, lovely bathroom with towel warmer, large windows overlooking the streets and comfortable furniture. We will definitely be back and stay here again. Though there were just the two of us, it felt large, cozy and welcoming. Excellently maintained and beautifully furnished, we had everything we needed. Our last night, we stayed in, listened to Nat King Cole, drank champagne from the nearby Nicolas shop, enjoyed our chicken from the nearby traiteur and felt quite at home. Thank you, Lisa for your all help and suggestions. A bientot! Jim and Terry W., Michigan

Thank you Lisa for your help and support leading up to our arrival in Paris. Your apartment is indeed a cozy nest with a perfect location for exploring all of Paris. The safe, quiet and picturesque neighborhood with all the essential shops (bread, cheese, wine, traiteur...) within a block of "home" was exactly what we were looking for in Paris. Joseph was responsive to my e-mails prior to our arrival and answered all our questions once we arrived. The apartment was very clean and well maintained. The king bed was very comfortable and we liked having the bathroom divided with a separate toilet room. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Having a washer/dryer really helped us as we spent 3 weeks in France. Absolutely loved the wi-fi and free phone calls to the US. The salon was also spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed reading your guidebooks and relaxing with our feet up after busy days exploring Paris. All in all, this apartment met all our needs and exceeded our expectations! Thanks!!!!

Lisa, Let me begin by saying your caretaker, Joseph, met us exactly on time. He was articulate and explained everything in detail. Your apartment was spotless and was roomier and prettier than portrayed in the pictures found online. Your apartment is romantic and practical and ideally located. I want to compliment you on your decorating taste, which is impeccable. The bed and bedding were dreamy! My husband and I are quite persnickety about our bed and we were both extremely comfortable and woke up well rested every morning. In fact, the bed was so comfortable, we had to force ourselves to remember to get up and explore! Can you explain to me how your apartment, in the very heart of Paris, is quieter than our house, which is tucked away in the countryside near Yosemite National Park? I loved that all the rooms had their own heating system. The fact that you could close off the living room and keep it toasty when needed was appreciated – especially when we watched the snow falling outside. The layout really suited us. I have a habit of staying up far too late - and this is usually an issue when my husband and I stay in hotels. I stayed up all hours in the living room to edit my photos, doors closed off to the rest of the apartment, while my husband slept soundly in the bedroom. The location was ideal - a 5-10 minute walk to the Musee d’Orsay & the Louvre (wait until you see some night shots taken at the Louvre-I'll send you my website address), the Seine, the metro and bus stops. I loved the walk to the Metro, passing by antique shops, brasseries, cafes, florists, patisseries, boutiques, high-end hotels. I never tired of that walk. We had a great meal our first night at the Empire Café located just one block from the apartment! Wonderful food, nothing terribly fancy, but it was delightful and affordable with great ambience. Of course, we went to Eric Kayser Boulangerie every day – sometimes twice a day. The folks in there are wonderful and patient and kind – and their bread is beyond comprehension. We discovered a new favorite tea/sweet shop - Ladurée on rue du Bonaparte-just a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. Your patience is astounding. You more than answered all my questions and never let on that you surely must have heard the same ones hundreds of times. Feel free to share my email address (offline) with any potential clients. I love Paris, and your apartment was beyond my expectations. Thank you for sharing your Paris home with us!

Dear Lisa: Just wanted you to know how much we Love your apartment in Paris. It is fabulous ! You were such a big help answering all of our questions before we left Orlando. We found everything just as you described and very clean. The apartment is lovely and the location could not have been better. Even though it was cold and rainy, we could walk almost everywhere. Arranging with Joseph to have the driver pick us up at the airport was so great! And Joseph greeted us at the apartment and went through everything with us. We had no problems with anything. Having such nice space to come back to each night after sightseeing all day and night was really wonderful. We found Fleur-de-Lis to be extremely comfortable. Having the Proxi so close for a small grocery, a pharmacy within a block as well as the fruit shop, and one of the best boulangeries --- Eric Kayser--- we were in heaven. Wines shops and excellent bistros and cafes were nearby also. We did walk down to La Grande Epicerie---WOW ! You have to go there to experience it. What an unbelievable place. We did not purchase too much, but what we did get was delicious ! Very pricey !!!! And New Year's Eve in Paris is one we will never forget ! We had so much fun seeing all the colorful lights at the Eiffel Tower and walking down the Champs-Elysees----thousands of people !!! A sight to always remember !!! We can't wait to go back to Paris and stay at your grand apartment again!! Thank you so much!! Sincerely, Diane and Wolfe

Lisa, Thank you for the welcome home note. It has been extremely busy since we returned so please forgive me for the delay in responding. We had a wonderful time in Paris and your apartment was absolutely fantastic. It was perfect in so many ways - centrally located, beautifully decorated in an upscale manner, spacious and comfortable. You made us feel so "at home" with the CD player, coffee maker, fully equipped kitchen, books, etc that it did not even compare to a hotel room. It was so much richer an experience to "feel like a Parisian". The building felt safe, secure and elegant. Joseph was very helpful upon arrival and found us a nice new driver to take us to the airport. Please use me as a reference anytime you wish to recommend your lovely Paris home. Thank you for making this a memorable vacation. You have been very helpful and a pleasure to communicate with. Dan

Posted on the Fodor's European bulletin board by Georgine who stayed with us in March 2006. If you'd like to communicate directly with her I'll send her your email address. Yes ----We just stayed in this apartment from 3/21/06 to 3/27/06!!! It is as lovely as its pictures, and the owner (Lisa) is amazingly helpful!! This was our second apartment rental in Paris. (The preceding was for a trip in November'05 and for that trip we rented through Vacations in Paris.) If we were to return anytime soon---I would not hesitate to rent the apartment on Rue Beaune again. The apartment is very well-appointed, with some fine touches, up-scale furniture and paintings, top-of the line bedding and linens, custom draperies. The kitchen had all the usual appliances, plus a separate clothes washer and dryer. As soon as you enter the hallway off the street, you know you are in a building that is extremely well cared for---marble floor, frescoed walls, freshly veneered circular staircase, and an elevator. The apartment was spotless. The kitchen and bath were stocked with all necessary paper products, along with many "extra" niceties that we did not find at the previous apartment rental---which was the same price per day. The neighborhood is wonderful---two small grocery stores, a boulangerie, patisserie, gourmet deli, several bars/restaurants and numerous, wonderful antique shops---all within a block of the apartment. The neighborhood is safe and very convenient. You are two blocks from the Seine, and directly across the river from the Louvre. For transportation, you have a choice of the Rue de Bac metro stop (2 blocks), or the RER C stop at the Musee d'Orsay (about 4 blocks). There are also numerous bus routes along the Blvd. St. Germain des Pres (a two block walk away). Loved the apartment!! If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Debbie's Paris Apartment Referral: Do not miss staying at this little gem in the heart of a pristine and quiet neighborhood known as the Antiques District. The interior appointments are full of Parisienne charm, and pride of ownership shows in every comfortable detail inside this spacious one-bedroom apartment. We encountered all of the comforts of home, while being in walking distance of the Lourve, Musee D' Orsay, and the Seine. We even took an extended walk to Notre Dame. When my husband snored, I slept on the firm trundle bed in the living room without a problem. I have already referred friends and family to this lovely Paris apartment.

11/8/ 2007 Sorry to be so slow in thanking you. I am a potter and had to get back in the studio ASAP as I have my annual show coming up too soon. Being an artist I have a very strong aesthetic and often have trouble with Paris apartments that we have rented in the past. The last had a great view of Notre Dame, but two ugly chairs. Had to throw a sheet over them. Your Paris apartment is perfect in every way. It is beautifully and lovingly decorated. We adored the neighborhood and all of the fabulous restaurants. Bill who loves to cook thought the kitchen perfect and we had several people for dinner. And then there was the peace and quiet and the terrific bed. We slept way past our normal getting up hour. Thank you very much for three weeks in your lovely home. We will never rent any other place again. All best wishes, Pam and Bill
