Located in the triangle of the Cevennes Ardeche, Mediterranean sea and Camargue, in the middle of nature, quiet. Labelled 3 stars by 'Gites de France' and the prefecture. From April to the end of October, you can enjoy its beautiful covered pool of 5x11, heat gain of 6 to 8°, large stairs and Pool house
(WC, shower, fridge), the good quality spa for 5 with a geyser in the centre, water temperature of 35º, from where you can admire the place and the stars. 6000 sq.m of wooded land, comfortable and well decorated, each bedroom has its own shower room and WC. Baby equipment, children games, swing, small slide, ping-pong table, Petanque set, 2 mountain bikes, badminton. Library in the gite, flat screen 82cm TV, scrabble, chess, tarot, belote. 20% discount on many sites and leisure activities. Pass' card given upon arrival.


Tourist attractions: 'La Bastide de Saint-Germain' is in the centre of many sites, leisure activities, sporting activities: the Pont du Gard and the Haribo 'Musée du bonbon' 35 km away, the arena of Nimes 50 km away, the Grottes de la Cocalière 15 km, the Aven d'Orgnac 22 km, Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and Barjac 20 km, the Anduze bamboo garden and the small steam train 30 km away, the small villages of Lussan, Cornillon, La Roque-sur-Ceze, the small Southern Venice: Goudargues, the Sautadet waterfalls, 25 min away from Les Vans, Ardeche, 1h10 from Avignon. The castles: Portes, Aujac, Allegre, etc. 3 km away from the Ceze where you can do canoeing and fish. Beekeeper in Allegre-les-Fumades where the kids will be thrilled to go fish the trout, 2 km away, goat rearing in Potelieres, the Pelardon (goat cheese) is excellent there. The beds are of 140cm plus 1 bed of 90cm in a bedroom. Quality beds with nice side tables, clock-radios, overlooking the countryside and the mountains. Very good quality mattresses and in a very good state (Epeda brand), winter side and summer side, each bed with 1 pillow, 2 bolsters, with their protection, washed very often. 2 clock-radios, side tables, 1 hair dryer, bathmat.                                             Un gîte situé dans un cadre agréable avec un très beau panorama à contempler le matin dès le lever ou le soir à l'apéritif sur la terrasse. Confort total dans un joli décor et une propreté irréprochable que nous, belges, apprécions d'autant plus que nous avons fait une très mauvaise expérience auparavant dans cette région ! Ceux qui désirent cuisiner trouveront leur bonheur dans les armoires où ne manque aucun ustensile et ,attention : tout est fonctionnel et fonctionne !!! De plus à 2 kms , 2 grandes surfaces avec station service. Pour qui n'a pas envie de cuisiner il y a un très bon restaurant à St Ambroix (4 Kms) et d'autres dans les environs. L'entretien est d'autant facilité que ne traîne aucun meuble ou bibelot superflu. Pour ceux qui ne veulent pas rater leur série préférée la télé est à disposition ainsi qu'un lecteur de CD cassettes et même une connexion internet pour les mordus du web. Mais il y a surtout une documentation importante sur les nombreuses activités possibles (ballades,randonnées, sites à visiter etc...) et Dieu sait que le Gard regorge de magnifiques villes ou villages non seulement pittoresques mais authentique comme l'est leur accueil chaleureux ! (Ah les marchés de St Ambroix, d'Uzès, de Barjac, des Vans, de Vallon Pont d'Arc....). Au retour, on apprécie particulièrement la piscine et le SPA même au mois de septembre (mois de notre séjour) où on en profite jusqu'au dernier jour. Bref, cela fait 3 ans que nous séjournons dans ce gîte et nous recommandons cette adresse à tous les amoureux du calme, de la nature et des vieilles pierres.

                                            Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour d'une semaine dans cette région située au carrefour des Cévennes, de la Provence et de l’Ardèche : trois magnifiques régions du sud de la France. L'accueil des propriétaires fût chaleureux, et leur présence discrète tout au long du séjour. La mise à disposition d'une bonne documentation nous a permis d'élaborer nos projets de visites et balades sans devoir nous rendre dans un syndicat d'initiative. Malgré un temps un peu frisquet (inhabituel pour l'époque), nous avons profité du jacuzzi tous les soirs et avons même pu nager dans la piscine le dernier jour! L’eau avait atteint les 18° : minimum nécessaire, pour que cela soit possible, tout en étant agréable une fois qu'on s'y est habitué et que l'on nage. Les lieux étaient très propres et les propriétaires soucieux de notre confort. C’est un gîte à recommander sans aucun doute !

                                            Gite très bien situé, au calme avec vue superbe et dégagée. Les photos correspondent tout à fait a l 'endroit. L'aménagement est hyper complet, il ne manque de rien et tout fonctionne. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et disponibles. Quelques petites attentions qui font plaisir. Un endroit ou nous repasserons probablement. Encore merci pour cet agréable séjour.

                                            tout a été bien pensé pour que vous ne manquiez de rien durant votre séjour ! les plus : cadre agréable, décoration avec goût, propriétaires très sympas, et prévenants, piscine, jacuzzi les moins : la télévision un peu obsolète, le clic clac inconfortable, pas de rampe dans l'escalier, le four, modèle premier prix mais c'est vraiment parce que je suis hyper exigente !!! sinon c'est top mais c'est vraiment,

                                            Owner response: Nous faisons tout notre possible pour que les vacanciers se sentent bien chez nous, nous-même lorsque nous partons en gîte, nous aimons être bien. la télévison fonctionne bien mais n'a pas d'écran plat, nous allons la changer sous peu, le clic clac a souffert cet été, la literie est bonne, c'est effectivement l'assise qui est un peu raide, cela aussi vient d'être changé, la rampe dans l'escalier, effectivement peut être utile pour les personnes agées, car les escaliers sont larges, nous devons effectuer ces travaux courant mars, le four est grand et il très propre et fonctionne bien, mais il n'est pas pyrolise, auparavant il était, des hôtes ont mis du décap four et ont tout abîmé, de ce fait, lorsque nous l'avons changé, nous avons pris une bonne marque mais four ordinaire.

                                            Tres belle maison au calme dans une grande propriété très fleurie... Piscine ultra agréable (30°), vélos utiles, 1000 choses à faire dans la région pour autant qu'on possède un véhicule. Que dire de la surprise sur place :le jaccuzi plein air qui permet de terminer la journée en se relaxant face aux étoiles ... Séjour parfait tout autant que l'accueil reçu ! A bientôt peut-être :)

                                          Rates can be adapted depending on the number of people. The gite can accommodate 6 persons. If you are 2 persons, I can discuss my rate, please contact me. A 25% down payment to pay within 10 days, as well as rental agreement to send back. Balance due upon arrival, 600 Euro security deposit given back upon departure.
                                          An agreement, the general conditions, the gite description and itinerary to get to 'La Bastide de Saint-Germain' will be sent by email or mail; you have approximately 10 days to send back the agreement with a 25% down payment. Digressive rates depending on the season. Then, the balance is to be paid upon arrival with a 600 Euro security deposit that will be given back upon departure. The price is all taxes included, except in the winter when an extra cost of 30 Euro per week is asked. When you arrive, you do an inventory, if there is anything, please inform us, when you leave we do a quick inventory in order not to delay your departure. Discount possibilities if less than 4 and if the stay is out of summer period and for at least 15 days. Rates are all taxes included, except during winter period when 30 Euro per week will be asked for heating. Possibility to rent sheets, linen and pool towel. Rates: 22 Euro.
                                          In high season, check-ins are from 4.00p.m. on Saturday and check-outs on Saturday before 10.00a.m., 10.00a.m. being the latest in order to prepare the gite for the other arrivals from 4.00p.m. For the other periods, please contact us, there is always a possibility to find an agreement. During low and mid-season, possibility to check-in in the week. During low season and for more than 1 week, preferential rates may be negotiated. If you take the sheets rental, beds are made upon arrival. For 1 or 2 persons, the rates can be reviewed. If you don't do the final cleaning: 40 Euro.
