Year Purchased: 1995
Ken and I live in an adobe house on the adjoining 10 acres. We first came to this area in 1993 and fell in love with the views, wildlife, serenity. We moved here five years ago. We love sharing Casa Arreboles with guests. Everyone says it is fabulous -- and hard to capture in the pictures!
Why the Owner Chose Gates Pass
We built Casa Arreboles in 1995 because we have never seen a desert location as special as this. In addition to the saguaro cactus, the area has prickly pear, cholla, palo verde and ironwood trees along the arroyo and the full range of wildlife, from coyotes to javelina. It is a birder's paradise. I recently learned that the Sonoran Desert is the second most biologically diverse environment on the planet, second only to the Amazon!
