We are in desirable Timberland area, Lake Tahoe’s West Shore on a quiet treed street. Walk to nearby new Rec Center for fitness/exercise room, computer games, basketball, ping pong, billiards, and kid games/play room, plus desktop computers.
In the main cabin, knotty pine plank walls, wood floors, and open-beam ceiling living room, create a feeling of warmth and classic charm. Leather furniture, Kilim and Oxacan carpets, down bedding, and original artwork enhance the comfort and enjoyment of your stay.
BONUS CABIN! There is an adjoining cottage (aka "The Shack"), with living area, bathroom, plus upstairs loft with queen bed for sleeping. It is better described as "rustic funk", and is perfect for kids and teens!
Situated on a woodsy half acre, one block from lake, year-round vacation retreat is a short walk to Hurricane Bay with it’s scenic long stretches of open beach, and minutes by shuttle to Alpine Meadow’s Sherwood chair. Adjacent to the bike trail and a short stroll to public open space, Kilner Park (free tennis courts), off road bike trails, and less than a mile to Sunnyside Resort, Blackhawk Lodge is ideally located for enjoying the diverse activities that Lake Tahoe has to offer, in each of it’s glorious seasons.

Robin- We arrived home at 2 this morning and cannot stop "gushing" about your wonderful cabin. The ever changing weather was a treat. We did have snow on Monday & the guys drove to Nevada to play golf! I left a note in the guestbook, but your suggestion of Coyote Moon was spot on! The weather on Thursday was perfect. We enjoyed the week & hiked, shopped, ate, drank & caught up on everyone's lives. North Tahoe is truly a magical place and we hope to return soon! Thanks for all the effort you put into Blackhawk. We LOVED our mini vacation. The cabin was perfect. Your cabin is our idea of a perfect vacation. We cooked all our meals, I love the stove, and we were in the hot tub a couple of times a day. Our younger daughter moved into the room with the two beds and read a couple of books on the dresser. We would like to visit again. Although we can't decide if it should be another summer vacation or a winter ski vacation. We'll be back to your cabin!
