  We had 6 adults celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary and a family reunion. The house was perfect! Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. Loads of room and a well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed cooking together as a family. Dining on the deck or relaxing by the pool were enjoyable. Enjoyed seeing the island, but especially relished our time together as a family. I'd definitely recommend this home to anyone.

  There were 6 of us that stayed here. We were celebrating a landmark birthday with some family members. There was plenty of room for everyone. We had great instructions for getting around the area. There are so many things to do nearby. For the days to just sit and relax, the pool is wonderful. There is a mango tree with fresh fruit on it daily. One of the neighbors gave us a coconut from their tree. I would love to stay there again if the opportunity arises. ~~ From Stanwood

• Two weeks in paradise

  We spent two weeks at this house this February, and couldn't have been happier with the property. The rooms are spacious and airy. Every room has outdoor access. The kitchen was well-equipped, which was really important to us as we love to cook. The back yard was a great spot for relaxing. My kids loved the pool, and had a great time creating their own version of croquet. Everything was clean and well-kept. We really enjoyed the spare snorkel and beach gear, and the beach was only a short walk from the house. Thanks for everything!

  Everything was fantastic, exceeding expectations! The only thing that could have been better was the pool which is not heated. Perhaps a solar heater to bring hte temp up a few degrees could be considered unless people like a cool dip. That said, the house and pool were truly great and we loved our visti.

  The house was perfect! The lanai and pool were fantastic, but the best part of the house was the wonderful energy that flows throughout. It's a very peaceful and rejuvenating place. Thank you for making it possible for our family to share your lovely home!

  I brought 4 generations of my family, from my 89 year old mother to my 7 month old grandson, and we had a wonderful time for 10 days at TuTu's House. The house is great because the teenagers can walk to the beach anytime for swimming and snorkeling while Mom and baby are hanging out by the pool and Great Grandma is reading on the balcony. We snorkeled a lot of different places on the island, but my favorite was the rocks on both sides of Magic Sands, just a five minute walk. Night snorkeling with the Manta Rays was a highlight of our trip, and exploring the Kohala area while some of us rode horses was great too. We learned to walk down to Magic Sands for sunset every night for a last warm swim or just watch the sunset on the water and look for the green flash (which we saw frequently). A memorable vacation!

  This was by far the best vacation we have ever had! We lived in Kona for 10 years when I was a kid. My father has terminal cancer and this trip was to bring him back for our first return to the island. We stayed for 9 nights and had 7 adults in our party. The house was more than we imagined. It was so open and airy. We spent most of our time out on the lanai. We had plenty of room to have meals out there together and just take in the view and the sounds of the birds chirping. The lanai is right off the main family room upstairs and all the doors slide open so if anyone was inside it was still like we were all together. We were lucky enough to snag the master bedroom. It was perfect! It had a huge walk in closet area with more than enough room to hang all your clothes and make yourself comfortable. We had our own bathroom and lanai. There is no air conditioning, but plenty of fans around. I think I prefer not to have air conditioning. It is so humid that I think it helped us to acclimate easier because we weren't in and out of air conditioning each day. Between traveling and the humidity we weren't feeling the best the first 2 days so we took advantage of the pool in the back yard. The lush foliage and hammock were so nice. It was great to just relax and enjoy family. Some days we all would pitch in to make breakfast or dinner. The kitchen really is fully stocked. It even had some things we had never used before but loved-like the rice cooker! (We bought one when we got home) We did have an occasional visitor to clean the pool or take care of the property, but they were very courteous and were never a bother. The laundry area is outside. Something I didn't remember until we got there: be sure to leave the lid open when you aren't using it or it can rust out. It was great to have though! We all used it at least once. There are boogie boards, gear for snorkeling, and beach towels already at the house to use too. The owners put together a notebook with everything you need to know about the house and it includes lists of restaurants and activities. We recommend Splasher's Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner-we enjoyed all 3! This vacation rental really made the trip that much more special. Staying in a hotel would have separated us, when what we all were looking for was to spend that time together that is so important. I know we will all cherish the memories we made on this trip!

  Our family stayed at "TuTu's House" in July of 2011. We 8 adults and two children fit perfectly in the house. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out, watch TV, play games, or just sit and read. Birds in trees outside were fascinating to watch and little gecko's amusing. My grandsons, ages 7 and 10 loved spending hours in the pool and adults liked that they could walk to the beach in 5 minutes or less. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and several adults can cook at the same time in there without running over each other. The house helped make our vacation together a joyous experience.

  I highly recommend Tu Tu's beach house for a vacation getaway. My family and I recently spent a great week at the house and it was as advertised: clean, comfortable, close to the beach and with a great pool! The owner was very helpful and easy to work with throughout the process.
