The best place to stay for the getaway from city life

I've been travelling to Catskills region for the past few years and also other places in the northeastern region. Pine Ridge Farm has been the best experience by far. First, my wife never like the decor inside of any rental/hotel, but this time she was impressed. Believe me she is very difficult to please as far as designs and decorations go. I was surprised to hear her actually compliment a place on its decor. Second, they provide everything you need to make it your home for the duration of your stay. In the past, I always ended up buying things like knife that actually cuts and pots that actually let your food out of it in one piece, but none of that was needed as the place had everything in top working order. they have things that one wouldnt expect to see in a rental like extensive spice rack, plastic wrap, and dinnerware that you would want to use. Third, the view in the morning and evening just took my breath away. The deer and turkey in the pictures really do show up in front of the house. Overall, if you are heading to Catskills for anything, this is the place to go. It'll make your getaway that much sweeter and memorable.

I must say this was by far the most satisfying experience renting a house away from home...It felt like being home. Everything in the house was neat and wholesome. Elizabeth was just fantastic in every way. She even made some very delicious appetizer for us on our second day of stay. We (guests) all agree to come and stay there as soon as possible. I, without a doubt, give it 5 star experience. Thank you, Elizabeth.

My husband, my 3-year-old twin boys and I, visited the guest house at Pine Ridge Farm for a 3-night stay and we really enjoyed the place. It is very peaceful and quiet and Liz is a wonderful hostess and was really great with the kids. She let them feed the horses and the geese, took them for a ride in the forest in a small truck, and even taught them how to use an old water pump. They had a blast (not to mention the deers). The house was spotless and even had a washing machine and a dryer. The outside fire place was a great addition, and yes, it does look like the pictures in case you're still wondering.

We absolutely loved the guesthouse! The area is beautiful, and Liz is just about the sweetest hostess. We wanted to do some activities, and Liz was a great help finding some things for us to do, even though the area was flooded and there were limited things open in the close vicinity. It was so much fun watching the deer and turkeys in our front yard, the babies kicking and playing, and it was overall a very peaceful atmosphere. The house is gorgeous, with great decorating, it looks like something from a magazine :) (And I might add, just long enough for your new husband to chase you around! :D ) Hats off to Liz for the best vacation I've had yet, and we will definitely be returning plus have already begun recommending her to everyone we know.

A blissful week away from big city

We stayed at the guesthouse during the second week of August 2011 with our fourteen year old son and fourteen month old baby. It was a wonderful, idyllic experience and the exceptional tranquillity of the place was everything we had longed and hoped for (you will understand this if you are from New York). Everyday we were visited by wild turkeys and wild deer on our front lawn. A white rabbit greeted us every morning in our huge private back yard (the back yard is hidden from neighbors and passer-bys from all sides). We had barbeques and made fire in an outdoor fireplace every night. But the gem of the place is Liz, an incomparable hostess and closest neighbor– she lives across the road in her beautiful cottage, about a hundred yards away. We visited her quite often, since my sons were in love with her horses…

My husband and I came to Pine Ridge Farm just a few weeks ago for a small vacation (due to financial situations) after our wedding. As soon as we got there, Liz greeted us and took us into the guest house where we had balloon decorations hanging on a chair and candles (just like we had asked). The place was beautiful! So quiet and calm the whole time! Liz has an amazing love for the outdoors and we were so appreciative of the time she took taking us out on her gator and showing us all around the property. It is absolutely stunning! Highly recommend this place- whether it is for a week or a few nights- it is not hard to feel like you're right at home. Thanks to Liz for everything she did for us!

The guest house is a nice clean house with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The back yard was the main attraction for me - so huge for any standards, privately enclosed, and very relaxing. Outdoor fireplace was great for roasting marshmallows. Lots of wildlife, we saw wild turkeys, deer, rabbit, chipmunks. The host Elizabeth is very attentive and caring. She kindly let my kids feed the horses, pet them, and even ride bareback! Also, she gave us an amazing tour of the property on a truck. The property is beautiful, I would definitely recommend visiting for anyone who is looking to relax, loves nature, and wants peace and quite, great for kids.

We had an amazing time at Pine Ridge Farm. Watching deer and turkeys at the doorstep every morning and afternoon was great fun. Liz welcomed us whole heartedly and made us feel at home. She also let us feed carrots and take pictures with her horses, which every one of us loved. This was followed by ATV ride around her beautiful property and a rowing boat session in the water body in her farm. The house is immaculate, beautiful and very well equipped. The kitchen has almost everything that one could need…like a complete spice rack, all kinds of utensils, frosted mugs in the deep freezer etc. We were really awed with the beauty of the entire farm. We also barbequed in the yard and sat around the fire pit. All in all our long weekend stay was very soothing and comfortable.
