Beautiful, two-story, stilt house 100 yards from ocean. Spacious Partial covered deck on both floors, real hardwood floors, carpeted bed rooms, and real tile bathroom floors. All Bedrooms have ceiling fans. Two rooms have king size beds, three queen-size beds, two double-size beds, and two twin beds. Perfect for Large groups. Spacious dining room and living room area. TV, DVD player, and VCR. Must bring your own linens. Kitchen fully-equipped. No Pets and No Smoking Please.

My wife and I love OceanLakes Family campground, it is very family friendly and a safe environment for our children. There is a mile of beach front, five swimming pools a putt putt and much more, it is just a fun place.

We enjoyed our stay and found the house to be very clean. The kitchen was complete with all the neccessary utensils we needed and were clean. The house was very spacious and is close enough to walk to the beach. The beds were in great condition! (no rolling to the center of the bed) The furniture was comfortable with plenty of sitting room for our people. We had a brand new NICE charcoal grill to use. The outside shower is a nice touch. This house is the perfect beach house for us and we will be returning.

Our party of 12 stayed here March 2009. We had plenty of room throughout and had a pleasant stay. Each part of the beach house was very clean inside and out. Everything was in good working order. I enjoyed all the accommodations at Ocean Lakes which made things very convenient and enjoyable for our stay.

Best house at the beach!

I have been staying in the Myrtle Beach area since 1972 and have to say this in the cleanest and best kept house that I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The location is great, very close to the ocean as well as all the other attractions the area has to offer. Extreamly well kept and spacious home with all the conveniences of home, only spotless! Everything in this home appears new or at least well maintained. Well worth the price for a vacation or just to get away.

Upgrade Accommodations

First impression of the house was very poor. Kitchen utensils very dirty; plates and cookware had to be cleaned before use; oven was dirty; Shower curtains had stains on them; Grill was broken before we arrived and could not use it. Placed 19 items on the checkin sheet that needed correction. We would stay at Ocean Lakes again, but not this rental house.

Owner response:A response was sent to the renters email thanking the renter for letting us know the things that they found. The renter reported that you did not think the floors had been mopped. Our cleaning crew vacuumed the carpet and floors. They swept them and mopped them. The few stains on the kitchen rugs had been washed 2 weeks before and again the day you left. It is difficult to buy new rugs every time a stain gets on them. The silverware is checked every week. The cleaning crew did not see any food on them. The plates and glasses and Tupperware are also checked. The hardware stores in Myrtle Beach did not carry the item needed to fix a cabinet door. They were repaired the next week. It was broken by the renters the week before. Thanks you for reporting that you found some insects in the kitchen. No one had reported seeing any the entire summer, and the owners stayed during July 4th week and did not report any either. There is a magnetic tag for our pest control on the refrigerator if our renter has a pest problem plus we encourage renters to report this to us during the week so we could address the issue which was not done. There are four no smoking signs on the outside of the house, apologies that you found 3 or 4 cigarette butts on the property. It is possible to stop people passing by and throwing butts on to the property. The grill was taken off the website before you came because it had broken 2 weeks before that time, there was not enough opportunity to remove it from the paper work. The house is keep very clean because the owners have bad allergies. There are purifiers in the house keep the fresh air. The shower curtain stain was found and addressed. The oven had been cleaned, there were some small black hard places on the oven that wold not come off. Apologies for having a bad experience but it would have been nice if you had contacted the owners during the week and giving them a chance to fix any problems that you might have had instead of sending an email at 11:00 pm the Friday night before you left.
