My sisters, cousins and I enjoyed this past weekend at the Apply Valley Condos. We had a great visit, the condo was everything the wedsite says. Clean, spacious, affordable and a good location. Liked the fact that we were in a gated community setting. We took walks and enjoyed the picnic area next to the condo. We have visited many place over the past 15 years and this was by far the most enjoyable. We will recommend this property to our friends and family. We will also be visiting again in the future. If you are looking for a home away from home vacation spot this is the place. When I spoke with the owner she made me feel that she truly appreciated by business. Thanks for a Great stay.

enjoyed the condo--was clean and cute. i was disappointed that the lake had no beach. coming from Michigan we have lakes and they all have some sort of beach. Good hiking. beautiful views. the condo could use some storage containers for left over food and maybe some food wrap like tin foil or plastic wrap. Thanks for the use of your condo. We took a day trip to Cmberland Falls. Hiked and hiked. We had wonderful weather--75-85 degrees each day.

The attention to detail, the cleanliness of the home and all the modern conviences too. The WiFi is a plus for business needs and was extremely helpful for our NKU student -needing to work on class assignments! But perhaps the most important part to our stay was the true southern grace of both Sharon and Jen. They have this uncanny ability to make you feel like "one-of-the-family". We will be staying again and again...Thank YOU for opening you home away from home to us :)

Laked 5 days and it was upper 80's and 90-92! Amazing weather for late September. Have to go home tomorrow and back to work. Reality intrudes! Hope to be back next summer. Everything is the condo was wonderful as usual. We are so glad you allow us to use your home and we always try to treat it like our own (probably BETTER!) Disappointed that the pool had been closed down, especially as it was so hot - but lake worked! See you next year:)

Our trip could not have been nicer! The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated inside and outside was peaceful and serene. It is very convenient to the lake and the state dock. S3 is the perfect retreat for discerning travellers. The unit is elegantly furnished with beautiful decor, all the finishing touches, and the comfort of a home away from home. Every last detail has been thought of to ensure a relaxing stay with all the conveniences, in fact the pictures don't even do this holiday home justice! The complex is beautifully maintained, the pool and playground are pristine, and our stay here was just perfect. Proximity to the lake, restaurants and facilities is within bicycling distance, which we really enjoyed. A day on Lake Cumberland is a must...... We would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing lake getaway.

Wish we had more time there

We stayed August 4-8th in S4. We really enjoyed our time. Close to the lake and horseback riding. Very clean. We never went to the pool because we did not have enough time. We spent most of our time at the lake. It was beautiful and convenient. We were so tired at the end of the day. Quiet. I would recommend this unit and if we come back would see if it was available to rent. Hopefully for the week. Wifi was not very good but that is not always a bad thing.

We had an outstanding vacation! Apple Valley S3 is a wonderful, family friendly unit! The condo is beautiful, clean and extremely well maintained! We have stayed in many condos and I would rate this one among the top! The location is perfect. We were able to dock our boat at State Dock for the week which made it very easy to be on our boat within a few minutes. After a full day on the lake, we enjoyed grilling or cooking dinner and relaxing with the family. I have already recommended this to family and suggested that they rent the S4 Unit for next year! Thank you to Sharon and family, for sharing their condo with others! We will be back!

Wonderful Vacation

This was our second trip to Lake Cumberland and our second trip to Apple Valley Resort, however our first time staying in S4 and we will be hoping to stay there again! The condo was exceptionally clean and accomodating. The owners were a joy to work with which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable.

We have wanted to visit Lake Cumberland for a long time. This condo turned out to be a great place to stay while visiting Lake Cumberland State Park. The condo has extremely comfortable beds and furnishings. It has plenty of dishes, etc and everything was well-maintained. We would definitely recommend this condo!

The condo was furnished very nice and very clean. The condo was easy to get to and at the lodge entrance. We used the grill to cook one night and went to lodge to eat one night. We had everything we needed to fix a nice dinner and breakfast at the condo. We did not go to the lake, we did fly fishing on the river. The weather was perfect. I would love to go again to check out more of the area. Thanks for a great weekend get-away for our anniversary!

If you love the water for recreation, you will enjoy Apple Valley. Whether you want to go boating, fishing, sunbathing, or just relax, come to this condo community. You can view and hear wildlife such as deer, turkeys, or owls. There's other sports activities too -- basketball and tennis courts are available. You are also close to Lake Cumberland State Park lodge and the state boat dock. You will cherish your visit to Apple Valley!

Great Lake Cumberland family get-a-away! Updated condo with all the conveniences of home.

Our family was very comfortable in this recently updated condo. We loved the decor and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The condo is very convenient to State Dock and other state park amenities. The resort and condo are clean and well maintained. The master bedroom is especially spacious with great natural lighting from the balcony doors. The design of the kitchen and family room is open and each room is stocked well and comfortably furnished. While I enjoyed all the comforts of home in the kitchen, the kids found the movie selection abundant. But don't get the wrong idea, we spent most of our time enjoying the sunny days boating on Lake Cumberland!

My family and I rented S4 from July 15-July 22. We truly enjoyed our stay at Apple Valley. The townhome is decorated very nicely and is very clean and comfortable. There were 6 of us staying in the unit and we had plenty of room. We all enjoyed the pool and everyone is very friendly. Sharon and Jen are very nice and personable and strive to make your stay in their units very comfortable. We did a lot of sight-seeing along beautiful Lake Cumberland and we also went horseback riding. We will definitely be back next year!!! Thanks Sharon and Jen for making our vacation a wonderful one!!! We miss it already!!! :)

Me and my wife were looking for someplace close enough to home, but not to close, to get away for the week. We just bought a larger boat and wanted to go the Lake. We looked on line to see what was available, and found the Apple Valley Resort. So we decided to check it out, and when we arrived, we were excited to see such a nice, low key, well maintaned condo facility. The condo was well stocked with dishes,plates, silverware, everything we needed was there. The beds were very comfortable, and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was our first time staying in the condo. We loved it and thought it was a great alternative to some of the other hotels we've stayed with somewhat minimal amenities. With 2 bathrooms and showers (important for 6 boaters), Dish Tv, appliances, and comfy beds, it was an easy choice. We will be back as soon as our schedules allow.

How do you judge accommodations? Clean - check; Near the action - check; Customer Service - Check! The renters are great to work with, they make sure you are taken care of from day 1. The place is extremely clean and easy to get to. The surroundings are great and low key which is what you want on a VACATION. I cant say enough about staying at S4 in Apple Valley except I will be there again! Thanks Jen and Sharon!

I would definetly recommend renting a condo at Lake Cumberland it was very nice and clean. This was the first time for me being in Kentucky and when I tell you I had so much fun I am already planning on going back next year the same time and same place. The condo was spacious enough for all six of us it had all the conveniences of home and more(games,movies, etc..). The kitchen was well equipped. I was so impressed with its comfort and cleanliness. The condo was like home away from home!!!

Sharon, thanks so much for sharing your condo with us. We couldn't have gotten any closer to the park if we tried. The place was so clean, tastefully decorated, and had all the conveniences of home. We felt really cozy and comfortable there. And to top it off, deer right outside the kitchen window!!! You're so great to work with, and I really appreciated all the directions to "your favorite spots". We would have missed a lot of lovely places to visit if it hadn't been for your suggestions. Cozy, close to state park. Completely furnish, lots of games, movies, etc. Well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed our stay. Nice atmosphere. Many helpful things to do. Felt at home. Bed rooms could be separately more. Would recommend. Friendly, easy to work with ownership.

About the second bedroom, we could have completely closed it off, but left the plant ledge opening to compliment the cathedral ceilings and to allow daylight to be seen, since the guest bedroom does not have a window. We are currently working with Apple Valley to allow owners to install a window!

We had a great time in your condo this week - It was like a home away from home! We have stayed in several other condos in this area and this was by far our best yet. The space is tastefully decorated in soothing colors and the kitchen has been well equipped for home cooked meals. Most of all, the unit was CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, AND QUIET...no creepy feeling like we've had in past experiences. These owners have gone to great length to make certain their renters are happy and will be repeat customers. We for one will definitely rent from these lovely people again...they are very nice to do business with and we had our deposit back with 1 week of returning home...much appreciated! Thank you ladies!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time in the Cumberland area. Unfortunately, it rained a lot so there were extended times that we were in the condo. My husband and I were so thankful that we had decided to stay in this condo. It had everything that we needed to feel comfortable and at home. The space was more than sufficient and everything was in tip-top shape. I especially loved the King Size bed. The air conditioning went out while we were there. We called the owners and they had it fixed within 12 hours. Amazing service! The owners were friendly and so helpful. We would absolutely go back. Thank you for providing us with wonderful accommodiations.

The condo we rented was very clean and comfortable. Listing describing the property was accurate and the owner very nice. Condo was very convenient to Lake Cumberland Resort Park and marina. My wife and I would definitely recommend Apple Valley to anyone and especially this particular owner.

We had a wonderful time staying at Apple Valley. The place was incredibly clean. Our condo was stocked with everything we need. The "No Smoking and No Pets allowed policy helped make our stay more enjoyeable since my entire family suffers from allergies. We will be coming back to stay and will continue to let others know about this great resort. My boys loved the pool, tennis courts and basketball court. Everyone there was very polite and friendly (even asking if we needed help with anything). A very family oriented place. A bonus being close to restaurants and activities for the children. Thank you Sharon for all your advice and help.

WONDERFUL WEEK AT THE LAKE!!

This is our 2nd time renting this condo (before and after renovations) and we can't wait to get back for the next visit. It is a perfect place to "get away". It is close to the docking ramps but you have all the "off water" ammentities too! The renovations are great!! Thanks for sharing your place and keeping it clean and inviting for all your renters. The place looks just like all the pictures. Also love the laminate flooring so easy to keep clean! Our kids (15, 10 year twins and a 5 year old) seriously wanted to book another week before they went back to school!

We come to Lake Cumberland every year and usually stay at Lure Lodge. This year we tried something different and rented the "Lewin girls" condo. The condo was very nice and spacious and the resort was quiet and clean. We are avid boaters and the 5 mile drive to and from the lake everyday did get a little old after a few days! But the trade off was to have a full kitchen and a place to relax and watch TV at the end of the day. I will say that I would have liked to have had a grill right at the condo, instead of having to use the "community" grill down by the pool....that would have made late night dinners a lot easier. All in all, the condo was very clean, nice, and spacious. Sharon was extremely helpful and tried to accommodate our needs during the booking process! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent again :)

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner response: Thank you, Christy. Did you know that if your boat is 20 feet or less, you can launch at the end of Old Rowena Ferry Rd? This is where the Corp of Engineers recently installed another launch ramp (Shhh! We like to keep this one a secret!). It is located only 250 feet past the entrance to Apple Valley Resort! We do like the flexibility of launching one day at Wolf Creek Dam (Halcomb's Landing) and the next day at the State Park Launch ramp, giving you access to two completely different sections of Lake Cumberland. About the grill...Look for a new grill right outside the condo by our picnic table in 2011! Great suggestion! See you next year, THE LEWIN GIRLS :)

Overall, our experience at this property was great. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything that we needed for a weekend stay was provided. We only had to bring groceries. My husband and I and our four small children really enjoyed Apple Valley Resort. The condo was accurately described in the listing and the pool at the resort was really nice. The kids loved it. We also used the playground and grill in the outdoor shelter which was clean and well-maintained. Also, it is very conveniently located near a boat ramp so we were able to enjoy the lake each day we were there and the boat parking at the resort was a nice feature also. We have been travelling to Lake Cumberland for several years and have stayed at the State Park cabins many times. I would definitely choose this condo over anywhere else that we have stayed, especially considering the reasonable price. Sharon was very friendly and promptly answered any questions that we had. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Lake Cumberland. Only one thing I could say (and this is not really a negative to me, just FYI) is that the two bedrooms on the upper level are not completely private from one another. The wall between them is open at the top (about 8 ft up) so even though you can't see anything from one bedroom to another you could hear.

Yes, when we had the second bedroom added we purposely left an open area with a plant ledge above the wall between the bedrooms. This design enhances the look of the cathedral ceilings and keeps the spacious, open design that we love...yet still offers a completely separate living area for the guest bedroom, which can be locked! Although there are vents and ceiling fans in both areas, we like the idea of the air being able to circulate freely between the two bedrooms. For complete and total privacy, I suggest you spend the night on the sleep sofa in the living room - private bath too!

Thank you Sharon for sharing your place. We had a wonderful time. My mom, sisters, and I decided to have a first time ever girls week. When we arrived we were pleased to see the condo was everything the pictures appeared and it was very homey and clean. Your directions to the local attractions we wanted to see were very helpful. We spent a day at your "favorite place" on the lake and another at Mammoth Cave. I've already recommended your property to my sister-in-law. We had a enjoyable visit, thank you.

Sharon: Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in your condo on Cumberland Lake. Yes, the weather was pretty wet, but I didn't care. I went to rest and relax and that's exactly what we did. The area is so very beautiful and I'm sure when the season gets here, there would be many things to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your condo. It was super clean and comfortable and nicely accommodated our family of 5. The scenery was beautiful and peaceful and the kids loved skateboarding on the rolling pavement around the complex. It was nice to be so close to the State Park and State Dock. Previously we had stayed at a State Park cabin, however, after finding Apple Valley, we won't be doing that again. We saved enough money to stay an extra night, while enjoying a much cleaner and comfortable stay. Thanks for everything!

Lovely and comfortable place to stay! I have been coming down to this area for just over 40 yrs now and I can't believe that I never new about the Apple Valley Resort. Looking forward to my next visit.

You could tell the owners put alot of love and thought into having all the comforts of home. Loved how comfortable the beds were and having the two bathrooms was great. The owners were happy to help with any quesitons or concerns. The list of their favorite places was so helpful and I was able to get some great pictures!! The Condo was beautiful and very clean. We had a great time at the lake. Make sure you get a schedule of events from the lodge we had a great time doing those activities with our kids and they were all FREE!! :)

Great Condo! This was our second time in this Condo (before and after the renovations). The updates are really nice, and the additions of DishTV and WiFi make this one of the Best Condo’s at Apple Valley. The WiFi signal was a little weak, but most of time we were able to connect – but this is vacation, so the work is supposed to be left at home.

Owner response: We are really excited to finally be able to use our laptop in the condo. The signal inside is weak (2-3 bars) but works well in S-3 and others in the "S" building. At least you don't have to drive to the tower - ot the State Park Lodge Lobby - to use your computer! P.S. My new Blackberry gets GREAT reception! LIFE IS GOOD! The free activities range from pottery-making classes to a motorcade tour of Rockhouse and everything in between. You will never run out of things to see and do at Lake Cumberland! The new museum below Wolf Creek Dam is our new favorite spot. Free Admission. Forget your fishing pole? The State Park will loan fishing poles to kids for free, and a tackle box too! It really is the perfect family vacation spot.
