The spacious living room area, 28"x32", features a 20' ceiling, an open-hearth fire place, loft bookcases, a Steinway piano, Persian rugs, a sound system and an expansive view.
The kitchen/dining room, 16'x 38', features a 10-foot trestle table under an antique chandelier, granite kitchen, silent dishwasher, all normal appliances, including propane stove, and high quality service - dishes range from English, French and Italian pottery to local artisan works. The full-bath downstairs features Italian tiles, and two shower heads. The downstairs bedroom features a double bed with privacy curtains and deep pillows. The loft contains two bedrooms and a bath, as well as an outside ground level entry. The loft is extremely comfortable, private and has beautiful views looking up into the wooded hillside.
Available, if needed, is an older barn apartment with charm. Double bed, full bath plus additional outside shower, two single beds in the outer room, satellite TV and kitchenette make this a welcome addition to the property for guests and older children.
The heated pool and pond provide entertainment and relaxation for all ages. The perennial flower gardens color all year long add to the lush green surroundings. Birds and flowers are abundant, as are red-tailed hawks and occasional deer in the field across the way.
The proximity to Pine Plains, Millerton, Rhinebeck, Bard College, Tanglewood, Stockbridge, Williamstown, and New York City provides shopping and entertainment possibilities of all sorts. Only 20 minutes to the train for New York City allows access as needed.
