This property was absolutely perfect: spacious, clean, well decorated, great views, private, a home away from home. The owner was most gracious, helpful and informative. He brought us apple banana, pineapple and limes. He told us about white pineapple which was worth the search. Snorkels, masks and fins were used. The king size bed was so comfortable. What more can I say, but we'd definitely come back and refer it to our friends and family.as a great place to stay on a Hawaiian vacation.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Jim and Jackie's home was relaxing, very comfortable and quiet. The tropical setting and beautiful lanai made this vacation rental perfect in our book. After long days of snorkeling or sight-seeing around the island, we were comforted by the thought that we could retire to a quiet, secluded spot. So much better than staying at a crowded hotel! The fruit trees and wildlife on the property were amazing and we spent much time exploring and taking pictures. With plenty of small-town restaurants and shops nearby, we felt like we were getting a "true" Hawaiian experience. The property and house are very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of snorkeling gear and other water toys to use as well. Jim and Jackie thought of everything. Highly recommended!

We have just returned to cold, snowy Colorado from our second 5-week stay in Jackie and Jim's lovely vacation rental. Thanks to both of you for the delicious fruit and the beautiful orchids. We loved watching the many varieties of birds and enjoyed the friendly resident cat. This larger-than-a-condo guest house is a semi-isolated, comfortable, quiet (with the exception of "talkative" but delightful jungle fowl), very clean, and well-stocked home that is located in a gorgeous tropical garden residential area only a short distance from spectacular beaches, the theater, groceries, good restaurants and the charming town of Kailua-Kona. We are looking forward to returning to this little part of Paradise in November.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+.

We just returned from a stay in Jackie's amazing house. It was spectacular in every way. Clean, fully stocked with everything you would need. Great location in a beautiful setting. This even beats the B & B's we have stayed at on the Big Island. We highly recommend this guest house if you're visiting the Kona area.

We were blessed for two whole weeks at this guest home. I never expected it to be so well equipped. Do not shop for anything to eat until after you get to the home. It was immaculate inside and out. The yard is like a tropical paradise. I will return. Thank you Jackie and Jim for a wonderful , restful vacation. I needed it.

Ken and Lin Ranallo here back in the cold cruel northern Ohio. We have used VRBO before in past years and have had mixed outcomes. When we drove up the driveway of Jim and Jackie's Hawaii paradise we knew we made the right decision. The extra pictures they sent were fabulous and when we walked in the house it exceeded our expectations. We were literally in the midst of a botanical garden. Fresh Kona coffee beans to start the day and every amenity they promised and a kayak too. We enjoyed the boogie board also. The only thing we would change is staying another month. My friend and I have just returned from a fabulous trip to the Big Island. We had the good fortune to stay at this beautiful guesthouse which is nicely located on an elevation, offering a stunning sunset every evening. The elevation also means a good nite of sleep without the use of AC. The house is just spectacular. It is surrounded by lush tropical flora and fauna. Bird watching here is amazing. Most importantly, the house is equipped with EVERYTHING you will ever need. It was great to feel so homey while being away from home. Jackie and Jim were the most gracious hosts. They grow the best tasting oranges and bananas you will ever taste! Thanks to them, we got to use their tandem sea kayak which was definitely one of the highlight of the trip. We would highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone who wishes to enjoy the Big Island in its purest form. Many thanks to Jackie and Jim for a splendid vacation week! We hope to see you again soon. This house is absolutely wonderful, and perfect for a vacation with all the amenities of home in a wonderful area. The area is cooler than in Kailua, which makes it very pleasant, not too hot. There are stores nearby, plus it is still close enough to Keahole or Kailua to be convenient. Highly recommended!

We have nothing but rave reviews for this vacation home! We've just returned from a perfect honeymoon on the Big Island, and we're already recommending this home to friends and family. Clean, clean, clean! We felt as if we were the first guests to stay there-- that is, until we read the guest book with other people's very positive reviews as well. Every amenity provided for (including a kayak for the nearby ideal kayaking bay), with friendly and accommodating owners. Owners live right next door and make themselves available should we have had any problems or questions, but we also felt as if we were a million miles away from our nearest neighbor in our tropical paradise!

If you are looking for a lovely, gracious home set in a tropical paradise, I recommend this vacation rental. The hosts are warm and gracious, and the home was everything we had hoped for and more. Set amid a lush, private garden with beautiful sunset views, it had every amenity we needed. The home is tastefully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. My 11-year-old son, husband and I had the best vacation ever. We were able to drive to everything we wanted -- snorkelling, swimming, shopping, sightseeing -- within 20 to 30 minute drive. Truly paradise found.
