Location: Chiusi, Tuscany, Italy, Europe (just off the A1; 1 hour N of Rome; 1 hour S of Florence)

Accommodations:  Tuscan Villa, 10 Bedrooms, 9 Baths (Sleeps 20-25)

If you are looking for a well appointed, comfortable place to call home during your stay in Tuscany, this is it! With 10 bedrooms and 9 baths, there is room for everyone and plenty of privacy too. The villa is located midway between Rome and Florence, 10 minutes from Chiusi and the entrance to the A1 Autostrada. It is also just 10 minutes from the train station, one of only 3 stops made by the Eurostar (fast train) between Rome and Florence.

The villa has six separate apartments; one three bedroom/two bath, two two bedroom/two bath, and three one bedroom/one bath. Each apartment has been newly renovated and is fully furnished with local antiques. The floors are terra cotta and the ceilings are brick and wood beamed and this authentic Tuscan Villa has been completely updated with modern ceramic baths and new kitchens.

The apartments are quite large, each featuring a living room (with fireplace) and full kitchen with dining area in addition to the bedroom(s) and bath(s). And there is a beautiful pool panoramically situated on a bluff overlooking the countryside. A unique feature, this villa offers a separate large salon with a great fireplace, dining area (approximately 40 feet by 50 feet) with a dining table and service for 20, separate bathrooms, and a restaurant-style kitchen great for cooking together, organizing a cooking lesson or just getting together in the evenings to talk over the day. Everything is here to create a spectacular vacation home!

In addition to renting out the villa, we also plan one or two Organized Vacation weeks, which include the following:

* Seven nights in your own apartment in our beautiful villa
* A welcome wine and cheese reception
* A Tuscan cooking and pasta making lesson (hosted by a local chef)
* A local wine tasting and tour (in the fall, when possible, we help pick the grapes during the grape harvest!)
* A wine tasting and tour of an historic winery in Montalcino (famous for their Brunello wines)
* A tour of a well-known (hand-made) ceramics producer in Deruta
* A visit to a local fortified village (castle)
* On-site assistance with other itineraries including Florence, Rome, Siena, Assisi, Chianti, Arezzo, Cortona (home of Under the Tuscan Sun), Perugia, Orvieto, Spoletto, all within an hour or so from the villa. Nearby, there is also a newly renovated spa that specializes in thermal water treatments - there, they have the most fabulous thermal pool complete with waterfall and water jets!

The next trip will be October 3 - October 10, 2009. It is not too early to book as this trip fills up well in advance. If you are interested, please let us know.

Here is what our guests have to say about their experience at our villa:

"This has been one of the best experiences of my life" - Gail J.

"The best vacation ever! It wouldn’t have been so without all of your relationships and special touches. Tuscany is beautiful, but you make it awesome!" - Stacey N.

"This has been a non-stop peace of mind vacation" - Pete T.
"This trip has far surpassed my expectations and I will never forget it"

"You exceeded our expectations, every day and we thank you, we love you and your villa, our home away from home!" - Tom S

"I can't begin to thank you for making our Tuscan adventure so memorable. Your relationship with the local people and knowledge of the area offered us opportunities we'd never experience on our own"

"What a beautiful week to be here (in Tuscany) and have a standoff on the hill with a tractor pulling a cart full of freshly harvested grapes and to see the shepherd herding the sheep down the road, to see the beautiful sunsets and storms in the valley. Thank you for your great advice, directions, wine, cheese and friendship." Patsy J.

"We all have a meaning in life and yours is giving people like us a journey worth travelling." Jennifer P.

"This trip has made me realize that we, as Americans, hurry up to relax whereas Italians relax no matter what they're doing. Thank you for letting us live this instead of tour it. The experience has been invaluable and unforgetable. I can't wait to come back. Its true, its easy to fall in love here." Leslie

"Thanks again, another wonderful trip! We could probably solo by now, but its so much fun to be with you and the groups that your network brings together. We look forward to a three-peat!" Mike M.

The villa is available for rent at all times of the year for groups up to 25. This property is an excellent choice for friends travelling together, families, reunions, corporate events, weddings (we have hosted two thusfar), and more - all will find this a wonderful and relaxing place to call home in a beautiful, well situated, not-so-touristy area of Tuscany. Please let us know if we can answer any questions.

    • It is not possible to describe just how much we loved this property. We just returned from a weeks stay there (May 2009) and had a fantastic time. The villa is much more than we expected in that the setting and views were stunning, the spaces inside are huge and everything was just right. Even though there is so much to see within 1 hrs. drive, it was very hard to leave the villa each day. We are a group of 16 and to a person, we all loved it. Thanks Linda for all your help.

    • My BIG 50th Birthday bash at the villa was absolutely incredible. The property surpassed even my high expectations. Photos do not do it justice. The villa was clean and the apartments were large - all with their own fireplace. The 19 family members and friends who joined me enjoyed the privacy of their own apartments and the communal living/dining room area which was filled every night with our laughter. The property around the villa was stunning. The pool was incredible - we held a couple yoga sessions on the pool deck. We drank coffee on the back outside deck in the morning and watched the fog lift over the Tuscan hills while smelling the fresh lavendar plants and listening to the birds. The evenings were filled with wine and stories. The small nearby towns offered wonderful shops and experiences. Also, there is an incredible thermal pool and spa at a resort not too far away. Even though a car was mandatory to get around the area, the convenience of the train stop in Chuisi was great for excursions into major cities. The owners were gracious and we paid them to cook for us a couple days in conjunction with offering cooking classes. We all have made recipes several times since we returned. I would not hestitate to go to the same area and the same place. The only thing I wished we did different was to build in more time to just hang around the property and relax since it was so incredibly comfortable.

    • We rented Villa Anna from June 2 to 15, 2007. What can I say about our trip to Italy!!!! First, Villa Anna far exceeded our expectations! It's arrangement into apartments allowed each family privacy and convenience that made everyone much more comfortable; it allowed everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy the time spent in the Villa. The kids especially enjoyed the pool area and the freedom of exploring the surrounding grounds; we hardly knew they were there. The first floor living/dining/kitchen area served as a meeting place to enjoy each other, plan the day and have breakfast before starting out on our many travels to the beautiful cities of Tuscany. We relaxed around the pool area in the mornings and evenings, either next to the pool or in the patio area between the Villa and pool. The views from any location around the Villa were spectacular! We had opportunities to take pleasant walks in the nearby countryside, and one of my sons took back trails one morning and walked to Cetona. The Villa, besides being indescribably beautiful and enchanting, was very clean and all the facilities (stoves, refrigerators, dishwasher, bathrooms, living areas and bedrooms) were first class. Women came on the second Saturday and changed all linens and towels and cleaned all areas. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Lights placed around the grounds, timed to come on in the evening and and go out in the morning, made staying outside pleasant even at night. Of course, the fireflies helped to create a magical experience. We saw beautiful wildlife every day: birds of various types, pheasants, rabbits and deer in the evenings. We saw no wild boars. The trip to and from Chiusi, along the gravel roads, then on the highway, was always pleasant due to the spectacular scenery, not the least of which was seeing Cetona from many vantage points. We especially enjoyed seeing the many three wheel vehicles used by the locals for work and transportation. Everyone in Italy was pleasant and great ambassadors of their country. The convenience of the Chiusi train station and related parking made the day trips to Florence and Rome very pleasant and memorable. We took one day trip to Florence and one to Rome to see the Vatican as a family. The rest of the time we traveled by car (conveniently rented in Chiusi) to cities within a relatively short distance from the Villa. A large volume could be written to describe the wines of Tuscany; however, there're are not many bottles left for others to taste!!!!

    • My husband and I stayed at Villa Anna the first week of October '06 during one of the organized vacation weeks. This was the absolute best vacation we've ever taken together! The group outings to Deruta and the wineries were so much fun. Linda knows and is friends with so many local people they treated us like their friends also. Linda was a helpful and gracious host. The villa is beautiful; we had a one-bedroom apartment that became our home away from home for the week. There are so many places to visit within a short driving distance; great restaurants; wonderful wine. It couldn't have been a better experience. You have to visit Villa Anna, especially when Linda is there!

    • I would recommend this trip to anyone. Linda made this trip very special from the moment we first booked our trip until after the trip was over. She was so patient answering all of my questions by email for months before the trip and then when we were there she was our personal tour guide. Linda's years of going to Italy really helped in figuring out what was worth the time and what was not. She was our safety net and we felt very comfortable knowing she was just a phone call away. The Villa was wonderful. There were 4 in our party and we had a two bedroom 2 bath apartment in the Villa which was very spacious. The other groups were wonderful we all got along great. It was one of the best vacations I have ever had. What was really nice was you had the best of both worlds. You had time to explore on your own (which Linda would help us plan our trips) and yet there were also structured days. We got to see things that regular tours do not show you. I am hoping to return someday and would definitely rent from Linda again.

    • Wow! What an amazing week we had. This is THE place to stay. The views are wonderful. The accomodations were perfect. In Linda, we had our own private travel agent/tour guide. She was up each day highlighting maps and giving us directions. The wine tasting, cooking lesson with Enzo, and trip to Deruda to the ceramics factory made us feel like authentic Italians. Combine that with the dinners and wine with the other people who stayed at the villa, the experience could not have been better. We used the villa as our home base and took day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Citte' Della Pieve, Florence, and the Chianti wine Rd. It all worked out perfectly. I would stay at Villa Anna again in a heart beat. Thanks Linda for everything you did.

    • The second visit to this wonderful villa was even more enjoyable than the first. What a lovely villa in a perfectly charming town. It is truly the best of all worlds and a definite on your list of "must see" locales. Watching the world cup victories with the locals was an added bonus!

Linda, you were a super person to work with, from helping coordinate our booking, to advice and ideas while we were there, and we are most appreciative.
