Kathy, I just had to send you a note to let you know how very much we enjoyed your condo this past week. The unit was so well kept and the furnishings were super. The weather was perfect and we decided that this time of the year is the best to be in Destin. When we arrived on Monday I honestly believe that there weren't more than 15-20 cars in the complex. Our granddaughter had a wonderful time walking around the development and was particularly impressed with the number of lizards and birds that we could see. Oh well, needless to say we had a terrific time and appreciate the opportunity to stay in your wonderful condo. I hope we left everything in order as we regretfully had to leave on Thursday. I look forward to renting your unit again sometime in the near future. Regards, JerryDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This weekend get away with a total of 6 people is like a dream come true. Everything that was promised was there plus a whole lot of extras you don't find in other condo units you rent. The three large bedrooms and bath work out just great for everybody. The kitchen and living room with a large table works out just super. The view of the bay and sun sets and the below large pool and ground give you something to people watch as you stay and relax on the patio, The price is right also when you divide up between 3 couples. We love it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

From our first interaction with this owner to our last, we received nothing but excellent customer service. Had a small glitch with access codes; it was handled right away. I would have no problem recommending this unit to my family and friends. This was our first visit to the Destin area and we are so glad we stayed in Sandestin at the Grand Sandestin. Olde Town Warf was so convenient and entertaining. Great food and so much for the kids to do! This is a very special place and worth the extra money to stay. Everything is within walking distance form this unit, with the acceptation of the beach. But we found being near the activity center was better in the evenings. We drove over to the beach (still with in the community of Sandestin), never had a problem with parking and really enjoyed the activities around the Grand Sandestin in the evening. This unit should be considered before all other as it was reasonably priced, and had a superior location. The view from the 7th floor over the bay was just stunning. Beautiful! Also, you are far enough away from the elevators not to hear them, but close enough not curse the distance to your room. We have traveled all over the world and stayed in many fine hotels and locations. The Grand Sandestin is very special and not to be missed. You will not regret staying in this area and will love the amenities afforded you in this wonderful unit. Totally worth it.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We arrived on the first day and was impressed with how nice the condo was. There was a lot of little extra touches in the codo that made us feel right at home. It was very convenient to the elevator and just a short walk to Baytown Warf. We enjoyed working with Kathy and we would defiantly stay here againRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Beautifully furnished, decorated and maintained condo/apartment in the Sandestin Grand in Baytown Village. Full kitchen!! Beautiful view from balcony of the bay. It was quiet - couldn't hear other guests unless we were out on balcony. The other two couples who were with us loved it! We're all planning another vacation stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family (including a 3 and a 6 yr old) had such a great time at the condo. It was spacious, clean and Kathy had taken care of all of the little details. We would return without question. The lagoon-style, zero entry pool was great, and with an average depth of 3.5 to 4 feet, it was perfect for the little ones. The condo at the Grand Hotel is just a short walk to the village, which features a number of restaurants, bars and shops. The Adventure Zone at the Village was just perfect for our kids. There is a zip line (42 inches and taller) and a trampoline bungee that my 6 year old loved, and a carousel for my 3 yr old, among other attractions such as two tree houses, a huge playground, wave runners, parrots at the marina, etc. Just beyond the gates of the resort is the new Grand Boulevard, which features a convenient supermarket (Publix) and a number of restaurants and shops, including a Tommy Bahama restaurant. This outdoor mall has a great water fountain for the kids to run around in. About 6 miles from the resort, there is a much larger outdoor mall, Destin Commons, with another great outdoor fountain for the kids, and a number of additional shops and restaurants, as well as a movie theatre. For adults, there are several great restaurants and bars inside and beyond the resort walls. La Famigila (Italian) in Destin proper was spectacular, as was Sushi Moto! A must for the adults is McGuire's pub at the end of Destin near the bridge. Their ruben eggrolls were just featured on Food Networks "The Best Thing I Ever Ate..." show for a reason. Great place all around.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is beautifully furnished and the kitchen well supplied. Although there are so many really good restaurants in the Wharf Village that we never cooked dinner!! our favorite place was the balcony where we had breakfast and lunch every day, and then finished the evenings with drinks as the sun set. Boy, are those sunsets something!!! We really loved it. The only downside was trying to find a parking place sometimes. But we solved that by never taking the cars out!! It was a great week and we would entusiastically recommend it!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at this property with our best friends from Alabama and loved it. In addition, the owner (Kathy) made it a true pleasure. The condo is well maintained and very clean (these are things you never know before arriving and make a difference in comfort). Easy-to-understand instructions on how to use appliances are posted. In fact, everything we needed to make our time special was already there (including extra towels). The only thing we would have liked would have been wireless internet access (there is plug-in access). The building must have incredible insulation because we never heard our neighbors (and we spent a lot of time in the unit). The view from the balcony is beautiful even though the sunset is obscured a little by another condo unit. Baytowne Village is practically right outside the building and has a few restaurants, shops (we recommend the homemade pralines at the candy store), and activities. There are numerous trails for walking (or exercising) with a view. We would recommend staying here! Thank you, Kathy!Recommended for: People with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
