  Overall we had a great stay. However, there are a few things that could be improved. Firstly all correspondence I had with Lluís was excellent. He replied quickly to all of my emails, was friendly and helpful, answered all of my questions fully and offered information on travel etc. On arrival we were met by a very welcoming young lady who gave us maps of the city and metro and information about the apartment. There was a small issue with the deposit. I was told via email this would be given to us in cash on the final day, but on arrival we were told it would be paid back into my paypal account. After some discussion it was agreed for the deposit to be dropped off to us a couple of days early and this was done as promised. The apartment is small but comfortable enough for a couple sharing. The bedroom is separated by a wall and a curtain, which felt private enough for us. There was plenty of storage and extra towels. The towels and sheets smelt clean, although they were a little worn. There were plenty of utensils in the kitchenette. There weren’t any of the basic supplies we usually expect to find when renting a holiday apartment, such as teabags, sugar, oil, bin bags or cleaning stuffs, but the supermarket Carrefour is only 5 minutes down the street. The sofa was not comfortable to sit on and the television required a code, which we weren’t given. The beds were comfortable enough and the majority of the noise from the street was cut out by the double glazing, though light sleepers might struggle. The bathroom was clean and a good size, the shower pressure was good. One of the more serious issues was that there were review forms left in the apartment which had the names, addresses and the email addresses of previous occupants. We took it upon ourselves to destroy these, but it is a violation of data protection which I feel should be addressed. By far the best thing about the apartment is the location; right in the heart of Barcelona, close to some major sights, well connected with public transport and all amenities are very close by. So to sum up, everyone involved in our booking was friendly, helpful and delivered their promises. The apartment is clean and in an excellent location but could benefit from some updating and some basic supplies. I believe the previous reviews from a customer in the USA were extremely and deliberately unfair! I would recommend the apartment for its location alone, but for what you pay, it is good value for money!

  Owner response: THANK YOU very much! The apartment is like you say. I will pay more attention to supplies and will try to deliver it to every new customer. I use to buy oil, sugar, salt, teabags, bin bags,.. but sometimes it finishes, I will check it more regularly. About the review forms, I use to ask renters their reiew in a questionarie and probably what happened is that they left inside the apartment and nobody gave it to me. Again, I will pay more attention and I will say my cleaning stuff to bring me any paper in relation with these review forms.   Dear fellow travelers, If you consider renting this place, be advised that the only truth in the description is the location. The photos that you see on the website are very deceiving: the place is described as an "apartment" when in fact is a tiny studio divided in two by a simple curtain. The terrace they brag about is on the 5th floor and the elevator is NEVER working (besides it is a common terrace for all the apartments in the building). The comfort in the apartment is more than minimal but what is totally unacceptable is the sanitation of the place: 1. the rancid, humid smell that hits you from the moment you step in and gets into your cloths and hair is unbearable; 2. the bed sheets and the towels are stained, old, thin and smell like they been used already; 3. the bathroom looks and smells like the public restrooms in a gas station; 4. the little carpet in front of the door smells of dog urine. The entrance and the staircase are narrow, dirty and smelly. We had to carry our luggage up two floors because the elevator was not working. A mechanic was called in to fix it and after 10 minutes he left saying that it can't be fixed. I believe the entire building belongs to an agency whose employees couldn't care less about its maintenance or about the comfort of their guests after they pay their deposit. We were wold to call them as we arrive at the airport to give them time to meet us at the apartment, so we did. When we got there nobody was waiting and outside was raining cats and dogs. We had to call again and we were told to wait another 15-20 minutes because someone was on the way. When we checked out they were supposed to meet us at the apartment to give us our deposit back. We waited for 4-5 hours and had to call 3 times that evening before someone finally came to give us our money back. They retained 5 Euros for "Paypal charges" although this was not specified anywhere in our agreement. The pictures that you see when their website must have been taken many years ago, when the building was renovated, but what it is now is a shame! Save yourself the disappointment and go to a hotel. At lease there you have clean towels and hopefully no smell.

  Very central studio on the ramblas (dont come by car as parking is very expensive and its hard to stop outside the flat). The studio is about 25m2 with a curtain separating the bedroom and living / dining / kitchenette area. Equipment is basic but fine. well soundproofed so noise is not too bad considering you are in the busiest street. Near to almost everything and all te good shopping streets in the barrio gotic. shame the balcony is 4 floors up (the lift didnt work for most of our stay) and shared - we never used it as it was too much hassle to take meals etc all the way up there. Location is best thing about this place and it was fairly clean. the managers of the property were very helpful to us when we accidentally left one set of keys in the inside of the door lock and they sorted it out within an hour or two and didnt charge us outrageous prices for the locksmith. For a couple wanting a central place this was fine - a little pricey for September I thought at over 100 euro per night (incl end clean). Overall description is accurate except they should say the terrace is several floors up and also that the apartment is a studio as the bedroom is not separate to the living area except by a curtain. Very good customer service from the owner / manager of the place.

  The filthiest place I have ever stayed in! I am writing this review hoping that other travelers will not fall pray to the same scam we did. The photos on their website reflect a simple, but nice and clean place. The description is that of an apartment that can sleep 5 people. In reality, the place is a small room with a tiny bathroom, a kitchen sink, and two small beds, but what is horrifying is the dirt that will hit you from the entrance of the building to the bathroom floor, towels and bed sheets. In addition to that, the place smells like a dump. You can't even sleep at night because of that small. Do yourselves a favor and don't ruin your vacation like we did.

  Owner response: Again, it looks you are trying to cause me serious problems and probably you will do it, congratulations. You complaint about dirty and smell. This is your opinion. I let 10 same apartments in the same building and they reasonably full. Luckily most of the clients they like the apartment, the cleaness, the location, the terrace, the service. It would be impossible if people had the same opinion than you, all the reivews would be like yours and it doesn't look like. So, I would ask you please to put another review (you have insert already two same reviews) in order to cause me more problems. You should insist more, don't decline. Luis

  This apartment is in a great location right on La Rambla, across from La Boqueria market, and only 1 minute walk from the Liceu Metro station. Using this convenient location as a base, we were able to easily see the major sights across the city. Although it is located on a noisy street, the windows and doors, when closed, blocked out most of the noise. It was fun to look out from the balcony at all of the activity below. There are many restaurants and convenient stores near the apartment, which also made things easier during our stay. The rooftop terrace has nice views and a comfortable setting - great after a day of sightseeing. The apartment was clean and comfortable and Lluis was nice to work with. We had an awesome time in Barcelona!

  This was a great apartment. The location could not have possibly been better--in the heart of the city. It was wonderful overlooking the Rambla and the market across the street was amazing. Although the apartment is directly on the Rambla, the windows are excellent in blocking noise. Check-in was easy and the owner was terrific to deal with him. We had lots of communication leading up to our stay and he was very accommodating.

  We stayed here for three nights. It was the first three nights of our 2 weeks in Spain. The communication with the owner was very good prior to our trip and at his recommendation we took the Aerobus to Plaza Catalunya. From there it was an easy stroll of about 300 meters to the apartment. Even though it is located right on La Ramblas the apartment was amazingly quiet (it must be the great windows). The apartment is very close to La Boqueria Market and the Liceu Metro station. The Gothic quarter is right behind the apartment. There are great views from the terrace. The laundry facility (one washer and one dryer) is located on the terrace level but is shared by the rest of the building. It was in use and not available when we wanted to use it - bummer. There are two beds (a double bed and a single). The double bed would be improved with the addition of a cloth mattress pad but at least the beds had top sheets (seemingly a rarity in Spain). The apartment had air conditioning and was well equipped. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Overall we were very satisfied with the total experience at this apartment.

  The apartment was in a fantastic location and the whole of Barcelona city is extremely accessible from the apartment. The interior is modern, it could do with an update of cutlery and crockery. Supermarket and food market nearby were very convenient to buy everything you need. The apartment is ideal for a young family or couples travelling. We shared the apartment with another couple and it was perfect. Luis was great to deal with and very helpful. Great holiday :)
