Total Seclusion - Total Privacy, Riverfront, No Neighbors, No Public Roads, Pet Friendly

Harmony Lodge is a totally secluded riverfront cabin near Stevens Pass, nestled one-tenth a mile in 50 privately-owned acres in a forested valley and above 2000 feet of Index Creek that magnificently cascades with waterfalls past the cabin. With your reservation, pay $43 for ski tickets instead of the $62 Stevens Pass ticket window price, and these tickets can be used any day in the 2011-2012 ski season. Harmony Lodge is amazingly scenic and is like Shangri-La with its serene awesome beauty, inspiration for the mind and soul, total privacy and seclusion, and quietness with no neighbors or public roads.

There is a large view deck surrounding Harmony Lodge. On the deck on one side of Harmony Lodge is a 24-jet hot tub perched at the edge of the deck overlooking the forested valley and cascading river and Mt. Index, and on another side of Harmony Lodge on the deck is outdoor furniture and a large gas barbeque and view of the forested valley and cascading river and Mt. Baring.

Come, get away from it all and renew yourself, fill your senses with the wonders of nature, and have fun at the Harmony Lodge 1000 s.f. fully-equipped and furnished cabin with electric heat in every room and wood burning fireplaces that add beauty and charm to your experience. You only need to bring your change of clothes and food you wish to cook in the modern kitchen. Restaurants, gas stations, and grocery store are near, about a 10 minute drive. The modern bathroom has body soap, a shower, hair dryer, window with screen, attractive lighting, electric heat, and attractive towels, wash clothes, bath rug.

You can walk, hike, or snowshoe on the property. There is a large grassy yard enjoyed greatly by all. In spring and summer, enjoy the hammock at the water edge below the Harmony Lodge deck. Watch for salmon, trout, and otters.

The property goes up the side of a mountain, up the side of another mountain, and up and down the valley. The view of the mountains and forested valley, river with sparkling waterfalls, and sky is magnificent. On the property, have an up close experience of the stunning beauty of the old-growth part of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. You can share this one-of-a-kind experience with your dog. At one end of the valley is Mt. Baring, and at the other end is Mt. Index. Harmony Lodge was designed in 1929 by a renowned architect as a hunting lodge for senators and was used for this purpose until the 1960s, when it was purchased by someone who owned it until the mid 1990s. The current owner is now sharing this preserved facility and land with you.

Since Harmony Lodge is 1,000 s.f., there is lots of room to stretch out and relax, cozy in the furniture and enjoying the uniquely scenic views from the various sides of the cabin. Harmony Lodge has floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatically scenic panoramic views overlooking the river, forested mountains and valley, and sky.

Harmony Lodge can accommodate up to 1 to 10 persons. In the Harmony Lodge bedroom there is antique furniture and a wonderful wood-scrolled-framed queen size bed with memory foam that overlooks the cascading creek. In the Harmony Lodge 325 square foot great room, there are 2 couches on separate sides of the room near floor-to-ceiling windows that fold out to double size beds with 11-1/2 inch mattresses, and a chair that folds out to a child bed also with an 11-1/2 inch mattress. There is an attractive teak room divider for added privacy. About 50 feet from Harmony Lodge is Moose Cabin that serves as a second bedroom, at a small additional charge, and can accommodate 4 persons.

Children age 24 months and younger stay for free. We are pet friendly.

Harmony Lodge is available year round, and we are ready for spontaneous reservations.
Our patrons says that Harmony Lodge and property is unsurpassed for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a special time with family and friends, for persons seeking solitude and inspiration, for a writer, and for a Stevens Pass ski vacation.

Our patrons say they do not want to leave, and we want you to have this wonderful one of a kind experience. We welcome you.

Quote by Destination360: "The Harmony Lodge is a great example of a Washington cabin rental. Harmony Lodge is set in a wooded valley, and 50 acres of private land wrap you in privacy and isolation. There is an [2,000 foot] area of the Index creek that also belongs to the cabin, so you have this area for your own use. This is one of the more secluded rental cabins that Washington has, so you get the freedom and seclusion that people who come to enjoy Washington State travel will seek out."

Mountain Cabin on 50 Totally Secluded Acres with 2000 Ft River

Truth as advertised! wonderful place

Guest: Captain (Washington)
Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/12/11

I want to write a review of the Harmony Lodge because I believe this story needs to be told. When I first contacted Rita I was still in Afghanistan and she was willing to work with me and not only that, she was very considerate and accommodating. I requested flowers for the cabin to make a romantic scene for my wife since I had been gone for two years. She went out of her way to ensure that the flowers were fresh and placed perfectly in order to create the atmosphere I was looking for. In fact, she had them delivered in from the next town over 20 miles away from her trusted florist. Rita’s customer service is unmatched in this state. When we first entered the cabin she had the pellet stove going in order to take off the mountain chill. The scent of fresh burning wood filled the air. The cabin reminded us of an old logging camp cabin with a rustic calm feel. I have rented six such cabins over the last two years and this was the FIRST one to actually achieve the “as advertised” score in my book. We knew exactly what we wanted and Rita delivered exactly as promised. The cabin was immaculate and there were plenty of clean towels for the weekend. The cabin is the only one that advertises privacy that has delivered on that promise. The seclusion and privacy are complete and total. There was no possibility of any kind of interruption for my wife and I. when we were sitting on the deck one afternoon, we were curled up in a big blanket reading a book when a family of otters swam into the river to play and see what we were doing. They apparently live under a large boulder which is directly across from the cabin. If someone is capable enough for a real trail hiking adventure there are numerous trails into the woods that take you to the swimming hole as well as a waterfall. There is no limit to the adventures in the woods one can create for oneself. The trail leading down to the river takes you to the perfectly placed hammock. This was the most romantic and peaceful spot my wife and I have ever taken a holiday to. I will tell everyone I know including my family and friends that this wonderful place is a must for a romantic getaway. I will ensure that their cabin gets on the list of places to visit in Washington at the travel office in Fort Lewis so more soldiers can get reacquainted with their wives after a stressful deployment. Thank you Rita for a perfect weekend.

Owner response:Thank you for your review. Our goal is to provide a getaway environment resulting in satisfying, fulfilling, and memorable experiences. Very respectfully from Rita

The serenity here is beyond compare. Our favorite thing was gazing out the window at the river and listening to the water at night. Enjoyed the fireplaces and being in an environment of yesteryear with the comforts of home. Thank you for your hospitality and this secluded piece of paradise.

Beyond Perfection

Guest: Michelle S. (-)
Date of Stay: 09/04/11 Review Submitted: 09/30/11

We reserved Harmony Lodge for our honeymoon hoping for perfection and found that it far exceeded all of our dreams. Days filled with private walks in the woods and along the creek, nights in the hot tub and in front of the beautiful stone fireplace, cooking on the turn of the century stove every detail was perfect. Rita and Scott were so truly welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed to disappear into Eden for a week. The two of us and our dog had one of the best weeks of our lives and have already begun to plan a yearly pilgrimage. We would and have enthusiastically recommended Harmony Lodge to everyone we can!

Such a beautiful place -- every rock, tree, creek are put together perfectly. The house and cottage are nice and rustic with modern conveniences, the windows let the outdoors in every room, very comfortable. The peace and solitude, the amazing natural setting -- and the hot tub! -- were just what we needed. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome place and for taking care of all the details that helped make our stay here special. We've loved every minute here. This truly is a Shangri-La.
