This property was better than expected although the view of the channel from the "deck(small balconey)" was limited(we still enjoyed relaxing there.) The only complaint was the full-size bed as opposed to a queen-size we were somehow expecting(we have a king-size at home.)The bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen were much nicer than expected.

We rented this condo to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday - it was a much needed get-a-way and just perfect for the two of us! The description and photos are very accurate - no surprises. The property is very safe - a gated community - and appeared to be well-maintained. The condo was very clean and decorated so cute - with a beach and lighthouse theme. The balcony was an added plus with an adequate view of the ocean - at an angle, but still an ocean view! - it was fine for us. There were two pools and a kiddie pool - we did not swim as it was too cool for us, but there were other guests taking advantage of the pools and it seems like a good facility for young families, couples or singles. The owner was SO helpful and nice - he even emailed me several times with suggestions for restaurants and activities to help celebrate my husband's birthday! We took a lot of his advice and really had a great trip! The condo is not far from Savannah, either - about twenty minutes or so - we spent the majority of a day there on River Street, the Forsyth Park fountain and Bonaventure Cemetery. We came back to Tybee each evening to eat dinner - the condo is very close to everything on Tybee - you can walk or ride a bike to most attractions. The condo is really close to The Crab Shack - we enjoyed dinner there one night - the food was awesome and young kids would love the atmosphere (live baby gators to feed, and lots of neat decor). We also ate at StingRay's one night - DeLicious! And one morning, we ate at The Breakfast Club on Tybee - HUGE portions of great food (I had the Blackhawk burrito, my husband had Helen's Solidarity) - believe me, we left very FULL - so, we took a walk down the side streets and browsed the shops, ending up at the Tybee Pier Pavilion. In my experience, a lot of piers charge you to walk out on them nowadays, but Tybee Pier does not - it's a beautiful walk on the pier and we got some great photos. There is also a Marine Science Center near the pier - we didn't go in, but it looked like something interesting for kids. Back at the condo every night, the comfortable bed was a welcome relief! The condo was stocked with everything you would need - except your own groceries and toiletries (though soap and toilet paper and paper towels/napkins were provided)! This was by far one of the easiest condo rentals I have ever done - the owner made everything simple and smooth! I would definitely recommend this property!

I went to Tybee Island to check out the 'Beach Bum Parade' this year and stayed at this property for 3 nights . The condo is small but clean and comfortable. With just the 2 of us, it was adequate, but can accommodate 2 more adults and 2 kids easily, The kitchen was fully equipped , and the owner had thoughtfully included items like coffee , a hairdryer and a full basket of quality soaps for the guests to utilize. I especially like the free WiFi and the great pool that this location had to offer. The beach was just steps away from the pool, The balcony was stocked with a few complimentary beach chairs and provided a great sunset view in the evening . Got to check out some of the eateries there.. Especially like Sting Rays ~ reasonably priced patio dining with live music. Food was very good there. The Breakfast Club serves great breakfast . Checked out the local Doc's Bar. It was 'interesting' , full of colorful people. Fannie's on the Beach had great food, and live music. Normally, I would stay in Savannah and visit Tybee. But this time, I decided to just stay in Tybee and enjoy everything that Tybee Island had to offer. It was a good 'Tybee Experience' and I was not disappointed.

The condo clearly had not been rented for some time. i can see why! it was dirty, smelly, and very small. the bedspreads were all nasty (I would not sit on them). the bunk beds and futon were uncomfortable with very thin padding. the kitchen drawers had old food pieces in them. the silverware sitting out in a basket was all dusty. the stove was dirty with visible food on it. the beach on this end is not as nice as the pier end (no walking on the beach at high tide). my family and i dreaded coming back to the condo after doing activities outside (sightseeing, walking to the nice side of the beach, etc). there is nothing luxurious about this condo. it needs to be updated and have a different cleaning company. i normally am very tolerant of certain things but, this was a bad experience. very overpriced. look elsewhere. i called the owners cell phone and left a voice mail but he told me earlier in the week that he would be in the North Carolina mountains at the time of my check in and would have no cell phone service . i never heard back from him and we stayed in the condo for 5 nights. i have had no contact with him since i made the reservation. so no help there. Mike's dolphin cruise was very fun and informative, i would suggest it highly. we ate at uncle bubba;s and the crab shack. we decided the best place for seafood on the island was at mcdonalds to get a filet-o-fish. it's a terrible thing to save up for a vacation and then end up with a place like this.

Just got back from Tybee. #61819 was quaint and cozy. Jim was kind, professional, and responsive. I would highly recommend this property. The location is great. The view is wonderful, especially for kids. You can walk out to the beach for easy access, or you can stroll around the North end of the island to catch the larger Atlantic Ocean waves if you want.

Small, comfortably shabby condo was well equipped, like staying with a favorite relative. Steps from the beach, which although not the sugary white sand of the main drag, was perfectly adequate for sandcastles and walks. Bit of an institutional condo building, but nice pool (though really still too cold in April - our five-year-old came out blue, with teeth chattering!) Said five-year-old loved the "secret" bunk beds in the hallway - great use of space. Fabulous location for The Crab Shack, Savannah, dolphin tours, generally exploring. Owner was friendly and helpful. Condo was clean but carpets a bit stale. Good value.

What a great getaway! All the extras made it feel like we were staying at a friend's place rather than renting an impersonal vacation condo. I forgot to take my hairdryer but no worries ... you had me covered. There was even salt, pepper & wax paper available. You thought of everything and we really appreciated it! Heidi & Leah Brah PS - Thanks for recommending the Crab Shack ... what a hoot!
