This beautiful,two-bedroom condominium is decorator furnished, remodeled, and located close to the ocean and lower pool. Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole
For many years,we took a break over the Holidays in Maui and always stayed at the Maui Lu resort in north Kihei,but for Christmas 1998,it was booked and our travel agent booked us into Maui Kamaole.We loved it-the flowers everywhere,the gardens,the low rise,low density design and the units were so large compared with other resorts.The location across from the county park,with the stretch of undeveloped land along the ocean across from Maui Kamaole meant that the ocean views would remain unobstructed ,and sitting up on the hill overlooking the ocean,Maui Kamaole was much more secluded than surrounding resorts in Kihei and Wailea.Not only were the best beaches of Kihei and Wailea just to either side along the ocean,within in a few minutes walk,but our favorite beaches at Makena State Park for swimming and snorkeling were a quick 15 minutes down the road.Maui Kamaole was perfect.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Private and quiet,the unit has a perfect location within the complex.Because it has a long expanse of lawn in front along with garden and parking front and back,it truly is one of the more private units at Maui Kamaole.Out the front is ocean and the West Maui Mountains with a view almost over to Wailuku which shimmers with lights at night.Out the back,are views of Haleakala even from the walk in shower.If you decide to stay in the unit,you will find that it has more subtle colors and traditional Hawaiian furnishings than other units.The older hotels and vacation plantations of the islands were furnished from items from China,England and the Mainland-the condo reflects these traditions both in colors and furniture.For us,staying in the condo is a relaxing,peaceful escape from the hectic pace of the mainland.It truly feels like a home away from home on Maui,and hopefully will feel the same for you.

Aloha, just got back from our two weeks at your place. From our first contact with you, to the place, everything was first class. Nothing could get better than breakfast on the lanai (maybe a night cocktail). Your place was absolutely great. Just to let you know we had a wonderful time (10 days). My wife and I shared the condo with my daughter and son-in-law. Every morning sitting on the lanai having coffee and listening to the birds and the sweet smell of the flowers.The quietness, cleanliness and well manicured grounds make this the place to stay. Two pools to hang out at, and we did a lot of that. Having BBQ grills by the pool is nice and convenient. Your place was loaded with plenty of 'beach stuff', you had it all. Marty and Terry at the reception area were always friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend staying in your condo. Alan

Aloha Jim, We have just returned from Maui on Saturday and my husband Mac along with our friends Judi and Bill from Edmonton would like to extend our warmest Canadian thanks to you for renting us your condo at the Maui Kamaole. It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked,the pool and hot tub were close and it was nice to have all the towels and boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs for the beach. It was the relaxing , sun-filled holiday that we were hoping for. The biggest decision each morning was should we go to the pool first or the beach first!! We all agreed that it was a vacation that we look forward to repeating again, maybe even longer next time. Our thanks would not be complete if we did not mention Brian in the office and the security guard that was on the night of the tsunami. We had a wonderful time on Maui and this condo was the perfect place to come "home" to every day. The unit's location is one of the most convenient to the pool and a short walk to the beach, and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. I loved the completely stocked kitchen ware and granite countertops. Everything was provided for a great beach day - beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, cooler, umbrellas, chairs and even kids' sand pails and shovels! The downstairs bedroom was ideal for my daughter and her 5 month old baby. Both bedrooms had plenty of closet and dresser storage space. I also loved how all the lights in the unit had dimmer switches, and the fan speeds were also controlled in the same way. Not having to use the AC was a big plus for my skin! The lanai off the livingroom was spacious and the view very colorful with the bouganvilla framing the view of the ocean view beyond the beautuful grounds. And to top it all off, Jim was very gracious with a better-than-average discount for a condo in Maui Kamaole!

From the initial property inquiry to the opening of the front door, staying at this property was hassle-free. We both were coming off of a very busy schedule and needed to recharge our batteries. Neither of us had ever utilized the VRBO service previously, but our apprehensions dissolved quickly after a recommendation from a good friend. This property surpassed our expectations in location, amenities, view from patio, cleanliness, and overall condition. Fortunately, we found the boogie boards and umbrellas before we rented / bought our own--they have everything you need for a wonderful time. Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer! Kihei is a wonderful town away from the more touristy areas. We enjoyed private snorkeling in La Perouse Bay, hiking to and swimming in waterfalls off the Road to Hana, great Mex food at Maui Tacos, lots of sunset swims at Big and Little Beach, and so much more--all an easy drive from the condo. Hi Jim, Just wanted to say thanks so much for renting us your wonderful Maui condo. We had an absolutely fabulous time there and it went by way way too fast. Your place was like a home away from home, so well stocked and well kept. We spent many enjoyable mornings and evenings on the lanai taking in the beauty of it all. We had a great stay at your condo. It was nice being able to spread out with the 2 bedrooms! The beach equipment, boogie boards, and wireless internet were nice to have! Jim--We had a great time and your condo is very enjoyable.I had intended to write before now to tell you,but thanks for your e-mail to remind me to do that.We all enjoyed the visit very much.The three things about the place we liked the best were:(a) the spaciousness and lay-out;(b)the location:and (c)the pleasant and comfortable furnishings.I don't have three things I would change but one thing that might be nice would be black-out curtains in the downstairs bedroom.Overall,we were very pleased with the unit and would definately stay there again.Thanks for being such a great host(in abstentia)and sharing a little bit of paradise.
