Why the Owner Chose Buck Island
We chose the Outer Banks and the town of Corolla because it is feels more like a beach get away. The development of Buck Island is great because you can truly park the car at the house and walk to most things you need. We are ocean side so the beach access is easy to get to as we have sidewalks in our community. There are two shopping centers next to our community which include a Food Lion so it's easy to get around and get things you need.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The great thing about Buck Island is its surrondings. There is a large community pool right at the entrance to the community in addition to the pool at the house. There is also a new play area for the kids that was put in this year(2009) along with a half basketball court and tennis courts. As you walk to the beach down our sidewalks you will pass large ponds that kids will see turtles either sunning themselves on shore or sticking their heads out of the water. There is also a Cabana at the boardwalk entrance to our beach that has bathrooms which is a nice feature that lets you stay at the beach a little longer. Buck Island is a very clean and well maintained community which everyone that stays hear mentions how comfortable and nice their week was.
This is one of two shopping areas next to our house. It has the Food Lion, a movie theater, cute shops, wine/gourmet shop and more.

We live in Annapolis and love anything that is near the water. We spend our weekends at home kayaking and boating on the Chesapeake Bay and look forward to our spring and fall weekends at the OBX house enjoying the ocean there which is such a great time to get away to bike and play golf.

Your home is very beautiful and was exactly what we were looking and hoping for. The house is located the perfect distance between the ocean and the sound side. The large dining room table was great for our family meals and the late night board games! The kids spent many hours at the ocean and enjoying the pool and hot tub. Great House!! Great Location!! Great Vacation!!
