  Can't go wrong with this gorgeous beach house! It's more than just a vacation home - you could move right in and be completely comfortable. The owners thought of everything! We had a fabulous time - and extended our stay by 2 extra nights! I had a few questions before renting, and the owner was easily reached to answer those questions. Late September was a wonderful time to visit. The water is still warm and you'll have the beach to yourselves. Restaurants are crowded either. Be sure to bring your bikes (or use the ones at the house) and ride to Seaside and other point east. It's a nice little ride for breakfast or lunch. We'd definitely recommend LaMer to our family and friends. The rent is fairly steep but totally worth it!

  For many years we have rented houses in the South Walton Beach area. This year we really wanted to try a new area and selected Grayton Beach. This house was perfect for our family. Both of our daughters took a friend and my sister joined us and there was plenty of room for us all. We loved being so close to the beach and the little trail through the woods in back led us right to our perfect spot to "set up camp" each day out at the ocean. We liked that our spot on the beach was not as crowded as there are fewer houses at this location. We felt like we could jump in the car for a quick ride to shopping in watercolor/seaside or for a fun dinner out. Several nights we cooked in and the kitchen we very well stocked with every pot, pan or utensil that you might need to make a great meal. My husband used the grill several times and it worked wonderfully. The house has a perfect size pool to cool off when you have had enough of the sand and ocean. Many other renters had left great beach toys and there was even a little cart that helped us get our things down to the beach each day. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and you can tell that a great deal of time and effort went into the decor. The owners were very helpful for anything we might need during our stay. We will be definitely be coming back in years to come!

  Can't say enough about La Mer! Owners were so helpful and accomodating leading up to the trip. House had so much more than we expected. Based on previous trips elsewhere, we packed so much stuff - even our own wineglasses, cooler, beachcart, toys, etc., and we didn't even need. Truly child friendly - they don't have just a couple toys - a whole closet! Great for entertaining and big fun meals with family. The screened porch was just heavenly. Kitchen was the best-stocked I've ever seen. You feel as if you're staying at a friend's house for the week - not a rental. The neighborhood is great too - feel like you have a private beach, but can hop on a bike to old Grayton. Already planning our bi-annual family trip for 2014 and hoping we can do it here.

  This place was awesome...location, decor, floorplan, pool, screened-in porch (with hammock), balcony, cleanliness, amenities...everything. We had 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 3-9) and we were more than comfortable. We really had a blast and next time we are able to go to the beach, we will book this property again as soon as we can. This was our first family beach trip and the owners were very helpful in answering all of our questions as well. We loved the location also...about 2-3 miles from Seaside and Watercolor, less than 1/2 mile off of 30A which was great for jogging and bike rides, lots of great restaurants within 2 miles (Red Bar, Hurricane Oyster Bar, Fish Out of Water, all of Seaside). We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

  A great home, in a wonderful location. Secluded yet easily accessible to all of the fun and great restaurants on 30A. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded. Our 10 yr old loved the woods, lake, pool and beach. We will return! Thanks for an awesome get away.

  This home, because it isn't just a property but a home, was absolutely perfect. The owners were extremely helpful prior to our stay and there were no problems at all during our stay because all of our needs were met before we even arrived. Everything was spotless! Obviously the owners love this home because it was not only well maintained but beautifully decorated. We felt like we were staying with friends. The pictures are 100% accurate as is the description of the location. In fact, everything was better than we could have imagined. The home is located in a lovely community where our kids enjoyed biking safely. We've stayed in this area before and I can say with absolute certainty, that on our next trip we will choose this home again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We didn't want to leave!

  The house is very well maintained -- fun, fresh and comfortable, with lots of extras that made it a treat in which to stay. Everyone's favorite spot was the porch, and we were only steps from a stretch of beach that was never crowded. Just the families vacationing in our private, little neighborhood. So nice. The owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. We felt pampered.

  It was a beautiful house inside and out. Beautiful view of the lake and the beach. We will definitely be back and tell others to stay there. The owners were very helpful and thoughtful and very nice. certainly worth it.

  Very nice. House set up and decorated as if it was a full time residence. You feel at home as opposed to being in a beach rental property. Great location to beach, bike trails, state park, restaurants and other social spots without having to stay in the anthill at Seaside. House located in a small neighbor hood that is quiet without a lot of car and foot traffic at night.

  We just returned from LaMer in Gulf Trace and I am a "picky" rentor....this home is a wonderfully furnished and amazingly equipped property.....we have stayed in properties all along 30A and in Destin for over 20 years....and this one is one of the very finest. It is exactly as they advertise.....the beaches were absolutely beautiful and very private...short bike rides or walks into Grayton Beach, Seaside, Watercolor, etc. The home is SO beautifully appointed in every sense. We really enjoyed the bikes that they let us use and the beach bags that were left for us as gifts with beach towels in them...Thank you for an allowing us to stay in your home.....I am not sure I could be so generous with such a precious place as our hosts home. I would recommend this place with a five star rating.
