San Francisco (San Pancho) house description
Casita Corona is a cute one bedroom house in the quaint little village of San Pancho. Situated only 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, San Pancho offers one of the most beautiful, uncrowded beaches on the Pacific coast. The casita is a short 10 minute stroll up the main street to the beach. Many people visit once, and then they are hooked on the quiet jungle, plentiful seafood, nice people, and a vendor-free white sand beach.
The casita is fully furnished with a stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, linens, and drinking water. There is one bathroom and one bedroom inside the casita. There is also a couch in the livingroom that can serve as a comfortable extra single bed for a child. There are two additional twin size beds upstairs under the palapa with mosquito nets and bedding supplied. Outside, the property is surrounded by a wall and a gate for your complete privacy and safety. There is a secure area within the property to park a car. A large palapa and a wood staircase leads you to a roof terrace where you can sit and catch the breezes while watching the sunset. The garden contains a large brick patio and many beautiful native flowers and fruit trees. The patio area is fully furnished with lawn furniture, table and chairs, and a gas BBQ. There is also an outside shower as well as an inside shower.
Sit back on a hammock and sway slowly as you dream of what you might want to do tomorrow. You can swim, surf, bird-watch, fish, snorkel, ride horses on the beach at sunset, hike in the jungle, eat in many excellent restaurants, or just sit on the beach and watch the whales and dolphins play.
A small dipping pool and a lovely fountain made from natural materials are a new feature in our beautiful garden!

What a peaceful week.
What a peaceful week.
We won a week at Casita Corona in a silent auction, so had no prior knowledge of what we were getting. Boy, were we lucky. The casita is very clean and perfect for a couple. On the end of a very quiet street, it's an easy walk to the beach where we spent most days lazily watching the waves break. For those who have been to Sayulita, there is not comparison. San Pancho is much more peaceful and the beach is almost empty. There are fewer restaurants than Sayulita, but all are very good and range from Mexican, to BBQ to Italian. The garden at the casita is an oasis; shady and fragrant. The plunge pool is perfect and fountain in the corner provides a soothing background. Although we didn't do an cooking, the kitchen is well equipped (microwave, blender, coffee maker). Water was always hot. The TV is small, but who goes there to watch TV? Eduardo is always willing to help when needed, and Juan, the gardener is always smiling.. With luck we will return for a longer stay.

After my unforunate hospital visit for a broken leg we were able to stay in casita corna. My wife explored the village while I enjoyed to shaded patio for 8 days. The lounge chairs in the photos are not there and the wood patio chairs and skimply padded cushions had to do. The interior was easy for me to navigate as it is all on the same level with the patio. The lighting needs upgrading, The bedroom was the only room with bright lights, but needs seperate reading lights ,when the wall lights are on reminded me of the operating room in the hospital. It was neat and tidy! I think the value would be more like $50.00 considering what we have rented in Sayulito.

Owner response: It is unfortunate that this person wasn't happy with our casita. In 12 years of renting it out we have never had a negative review. These people were only scheduled to stay for 4 days and actually extended their stay an extra 4 days after seeing the casita. We are a private home with a huge garden and room for 4-5 people. There is no where in San Pancho that you can rent a place like ours for $50. Maybe you can in Sayulita, but not San Pancho. The lounge chairs in the photos were very uncomfortable so we no longer have them. The ones we do have are quite nicely padded. I am sure this man was unhappy mostly due to the fact that he broke his leg. They never complained to us nor did they say anything negative to our manager during their stay.

This was like staying in a private garden--clean, quiet, lots of room outside, well maintained. You can lay in the hammock or chaise lounges and listen to the birds. They even supply drinking water. You can pull your car inside and there is a clothesline, too. This is the safest, friendliest Latin town we have ever stayed in and the food is great everywhere. A mini super market is close. It is about 3/4 mile to the beach, which is great for us because we like to walk. If you have knee or other walking issues, or if it is hot and you want to carry chairs and/or umbrella, you may have to take your car, if you have one, since it takes about 15 minutes of brisk walking on cement sidewalks or cobblestone roads to get to the beach. We thought this was a great value.
