Top Notch Villa

I hesitate to put this review up because I know the next time I want to rent it, it will not be available because everyone will know what a great villa it is. I have rented with vrbo & home away in Maui, Boston, Phoenix, Isle of Palms, HHI and Gatlinburg, so I have a pretty good knowledge of what to expect. I found this villa to be top notch. Shelley has thought of everything that you need in a beach villa. It is really perfect for 4. Kitchen gorgeous, and contains all necessary items. Living area and bedrooms are very comfortable, very pleasing to the eye, everything well maintained and extra clean. We have never had a storage locker at the beach and omg, what a blessing not to have to lug all that junk back and forth to a villa and to have the great beach chairs already provided was a real bonus. Thanks for providing such an enjoyable place, we would have loved to stayed longer. If you go to Savannah for a day trip, eat at the Crystal Beer Parlor - awesome!

I am blessed to have exceptional property managers who take care of my property as if it were their own and it is their attention to detail that ensures when guests arrive they are walking into a very clean and well-maintained property. They are also readily available to address any maintenance issues quickly. As an absentee owner, I absolutely trust their judgment and experience and I could not do this without their help, so I can't take all the credit.

My wife and I recently spent a month at this unit. We had a fantastic time!! Shelley was great. Communication was open and instantaneous. The property managers were fantastic and very responsive. We enjoyed good weather, the beach was very accessible and wonderful to bike on. We were not able to use the pool much cuz of the time of year but the golfing, tennis, general walking conditions were great. The unit was extra clean and very comfortable and everything was close at hand. (food, gas, golf, etc.) Loved the whole experience. We would come back any time Bryan

Our last stay was so enjoyable, we lengthened it to a 2 month stay this year. The weather couldn't have been better. Well maintained property. Met all of our needs. We were very comfortable. Having the locker beachside is another plus, with beach chairs already available for you. Personal items can be stored and locked up so you're not lugging anything on that 8 minute walk. If you have to stray off the Island, other major tourist-friendly cities are fairly close and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping areas in close proximity to the Shipyard Plantation. We just returned from Hilton Head and our stay could not have been better. We normally stay at Sea Pines but wanted to try something new this year - it was a great decision. As the other reviewers said the villa is wonderful, the location was great and the beach locker was helpful beyond measure. Shipyard itself is wonderfully located more centrally on the island which made it much easier to bike places that we normally wouldn't have ventured out to at all. We had an easy bike ride to Coligny Plaza to shop around and get ice cream as well as to Shelter Cove. The proximity to the beach was great as well. We were at the beach almost everyday because it was so convenient to get there. The pool was very nice - it is partially shaded during the day which was nice for the kids when they got a little too much sun at the beach. They were still able to play in the water and I didn't have to worry about the sun. We thought the furnishings were exceptional for a vacation spot. All the beds were comfy, the living room furniture was very comfy and the electronics (tv/speakers/etc) were very high quality. It was nice to have the same comfort in furnishings on vacation that we are used to at home. And finally the owner was awesome. Shelley was responsive to all my questions before our arrival, she provided detailed restaurant and activity recommendations and was a pleasure to work with. I definitely recommend a stay at this villa!

Our family has stayed in this Villa for 3 years and every year the experience has been a wonderful one. The location is excellent we walked to the beach everyday and you can see the pool from the front porch. The beach locker is an awesome plus and honestly what first attracted me to this villa. With small children and all the sand toys, boogie boards etc that you need it helped to store them in the locker and not have to take them back and forth everyday. The beach chairs provided were a bonus as well. We ordered and had our bikes delievered right to our door and rode them everyday, the trails are beautiful. Besides the beauty of Hilton Head itself what has always made our stay so great is the ease in dealing with owners. The extra attention provided to make sure your experience is the best it can be is always top notch. Not having to deal with a rental company is really nice and this gives it a very "personal" touch. The villa is beautiful, clean and truely a home away from home. I would highly recommend this villa for your next beach vacation, I can assure you that you won't be sorry. This villa exceeded my expectations in every way. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/Tupperware/dishes and glasses of all shapes and sizes. The bed linens were of excellent quality and the entire villa was super clean. The full size washer and dryer were a great help. The pool is a few footsteps away, and was rarely crowded. The beach was either an easy walk or super easy bike ride. The beach locker was also a great help! We kept most of our beach items in the locker, therefore had to tote less. The locker is well equip with 4 chairs, lots of kid sand toys, and a boogie board. This is a perfect villa for a small family. Just close enough to the ocean and yet affordable! Shipyard overall is excellent for bike riding and feels safe! I highly recommend this condo to anyone considering their next vacation!

November 2009 -- Location! Location! Location! Truly a ten minute walk to the beach/ocean and one minute to the pool. A well appointed 'home' that made our stay very comfortable. Quiet, relaxing, and fun is descriptive of our visit to 'The Greens'. Thank you, Shelley.
