Owner's Profile

Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2001

I am a local lawyer that practices in Virginia and Tennessee. We have three wonderful daughters. We bought our lakehouse to retire back in 2001 . Wonderful vacation home, even to use to get out of town for a weekend. I . There are many things to do,mostly we relax and enjoy a beautiful view that captures us all.

Why the Owner Chose Bristol

Back in 2001 my wife decided she wanted a lakehouse to make our families second home. It has been such a blessing even after ten short years. The years pass by way too quickly when your having fun. Until our youngest grows up and goes to collage which will be here before we know it, we live in the city, but will retire out at our dreamhome.

The Unique Benefits of this House

Bring your own boat and use our dock for some lake fun, if not there are plenty of places around you can rent boats and jet skis. Enjoy a beautiful clean lake to swim and fish. We are located near a national forest and the Appalachian trail biking on the Va. Creeper trail between Abingdon and Damascus is wonderful. I hope the weather is pleasant, as it usually is, but if not you will have many other activites to enjoy.

the house was everything you could want; plenty of dishes, spices, extra's such as salad dressing, condiments, coffee, etc. beautiful view and very relaxing. lake was wonderful and house accessible from town.plenty of extra room to spread out. the deck is a delightful place to spend a few hours morning and night. you "will" get plenty of excercise going up and down the steps though...so don't bring to many heavy suitcases... pack light and use the washer/dryer. had a great time and would do it again.
