Oceanfront Cottage - Spectacular Views - 4 Kayaks Included!!!
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose St. George
After looking continuously for three years for an oceanfront property, I was getting discouraged. Then I found the perfect place....oceanfront, private, only one property in my (distant) view and the view is amazing! This was it!!!
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The fabulous views and privacy will bring you inner peace immediately upon arrival! The gardens are full of flowers and the kayaking is the best - our coastline is so pretty. The location is optimal - you are a short drive (10-15 min) to Rockland to enjoy all of the activities there. Day trips to Monhegan Island, Bar Harbor, Boothbay Harbor, etc. are easily possible. Camden is less than 1/2 hour away as well. Finally, Miller's Lobster is just around the corner!!!!
Owner's Map of St. George
Maine is my home! I live in the mountains about 100 miles from my cottage and feel that I have the best life possible. When I'm not enjoying the beautiful White Mountains, I am thrilled to be at a gorgeous location on Maine's oceanfront!

Two adults and a ten-year-old plus a dog had a busy two weeks. The house is well maintained and very clean inside and out. There are so many things to do in the area. We enjoyed hiking on Clark Island which is only a few minutes drive and hiking on Monhegan Island by taking a ferry boat from Port Clyde. There are a couple of sandy beaches nearby and our favorite was Birch Point. Our son enjoyed the rides and food at the Blueberry Festival in Union. Rockland and Camden are close by where you can get any shopping done. Jess' Market in Rockland is the place to get freshest seafood. Great food at Lily's Bistro in Rockland, too. And when we stayed in, we had the most relaxing time, reading, building models, and of course, our dog swimming in the ocean!

We spent a wonderful week at Sea Watch in early September 2010. The accomodations were perfect; the house is in a beautiful setting, quiet and peaceful, and only a short drive from everything. Whether it's sighseeing, museums, dining, shopping, whatever, it's convenient to all. We even took an airplane tour of lighthouses from the nearby Knox County Airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our Maine/Sea Watch experience.

We found the home very confortable and accomadating. The views are spectacular and relaxing from the house and shoreline. We found the shopping and sightseeing locally to be great and the locals very friendly. I would recommend this home to anyone that is in the market for relaxation and peaceful surroundings.

We recently traveled to the Sea Lodge for the second time with our two dogs who love it as much as we do. We miss it since returning to our home in Virginia. The house and gardens are very welcoming , clean, and attractive. The kitchen is well equipped and the kayaks are great for exploring the water at the end of the path. It is quiet and conveniently located for activities in Rockland such as the Farnsworth Museum, a must for Wyeth lovers, the Rockport Opera House, and all the great seafood anyone could possibly want. Bar Harbor and Portland are both accessible for day trips if you want to venture further afield. It is overall a lovely and comfortable place to spend some time and I look forward to returning.

Terrific property. Exactly as described. One can do as little or as much as one wants. Peaceful and secluded location, but not far from activities. Especially liked the blues scene in Rockland (Time Out Pub) and the Camden Opera House (we saw Roomful of Blues and Marcia Ball). Owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Also, can't go too far without having lobster - Miller's Seafood is close by. All in all a peaceful, relaxing, restful vacation.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
