A direct oceanfront corner location gives this condominium the best ocean and coastline views but also a great view overlooking the pool. Free High Speed Internet Access available! Before the 2005 season it was only used as a second home and was recently renovated with an updated kitchen, new furniture, carpet, and paint. There are extra windows and a ceiling fan in the living room as well as ceiling fans in all bedrooms. There is a screened entrance porch for storing all your "beach items" and a second screened porch on the oceanfront adjacent to the living room. There is also an oceanfront balcony off of the master bedroom. There is a private laundry room with new full-size washer and dryer. Our condominium is on the top floor so no "footsteps" above you to keep you up at night or wake you up in the morning. There is an elevator just down the hall as well as luggage carts.
This is a "Smoke Free" condominium. No smoking is allowed inside the condominium or on the balconies. Linens are not included but may be rented for an additional $80 per week.
Pelican's Watch is located on the popular Shore Drive and is only a short walk to the popular "Ocean Annie's Beach Club" and the Apache Fishing Pier. The "Straw Market" is a just down the street with bike rentals, a Subway sandwich shop, a convenience store, a pizza and ice cream shop, a gift shop, and an arcade.
Within a three-mile radius there is a Super Wal-Mart, Tanger Factory Outlet Stores, a Kroger 24-hour supermarket, the Colonial Mall with a cinema, and the new Bass Pro Shop, The Carolina Opry, and The Dixie Stampede (both offering live entertainment), and many great restaurants. There is also Broadway At The Beach to the south and Barefoot Landing to the north (both within five miles).

My wife and I and our three young sons live right beside the Arcadian Shores Golf Course which is just a couple of miles from our Pelican's Watch condo. We love this location because it is so quiet yet easy to get to everything that the Grand Strand has to offer. Because we are so close we are able to take a very active role in the renting of our vacation condos. We personally inspect each unit prior to every check-in to make sure that everything is clean, working and ready for our guests to enjoy a great vacation! I also have been a local REALTOR and SC REAL ESTATE LICENSEE for the past 27 years and would be happy to assist any of our guests who may be interested in purchasing their own vacation home or permanent residence here in the Grand Strand area.
Why the Owner Chose Pelican's Watch
The Shore Drive area is great because it's a dead end street and therefore there is very little thru traffic. Most all other oceanfront condos in Myrtle and North Myrtle Beach are located right on Ocean Blvd. and there is traffic going up and down the road 24 hours a day. Shore Drive is usually only traveled by people that are staying in the area so it's just a lot less "busy." Yet, it's very easy to get to all the great attractions including Broadway At The Beach, Barefoot Landing, The Carolina Opry and Dixie Stampede. All of these are within approximately 5 miles or closer. Shopping is also within a couple of miles with a 24 hour Kroger and Wal-Mart plus Tanger Factory Outlets as well as The Myrtle Beach Mall with a movie theater and a Bass Pro Shop.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Our condo at Pelican's Watch has one of the best views of the beach and coastline that I have seen. Also, being able to see the pool from our condo is a big plus for parents who want to keep an eye on their kids. We also enjoy the oceanfront screened porch as well as the entrance screened porch (for keeping beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. on) and the laundry room with full size washer and dryer.

FANTASTIC! We had such a wonderful week. This was our 4th trip to Myrtle Beach. We spend the week with at least 4 other families, I think there was 8 this year and we all rent our own condos a Pelicans Watch. Our kids are 11 and 13. We are not golfers and still found plenty to do. We hang out on the beach or walk up to Apache Peir. We bodysurfed in the ocean and played in pool. We minigolfed, shopped and ate in some really nice restaurants. We went to Wonder Works at Broadway On The Beach. Looked for treasure at the Pirates Voyage and go karted at Nascar. Dealing with Robert was great. He was friendly, met us at the condo. It was nice not dealing with management company. Our deposit was returned to us within a week of leaving. Just a great experience. The condo was clean and inviting. The decor made you feel like your at the beach and the view was pricelss. We got to experience great surf because of the earthquake early in the week. Then Irene was passing out in the Atlantic at the end of the week. We enjoyed watching the surf because of her and walked along the beach in the rain and wind. We took this opportunity to go to the aquarium that afternoon. Favorite restaurant is Chesnut Hill out on 17. Kids is the Hard Rock at Broadway.

I Brought my Mother and Sisters here to enjoy a few days on the beach. We had a great time. I stayed in this condo last year with my husband and couldn't wait to bring my Mother & Sisters this year and have some girl time. We had a Blast. My Mother loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the ocean. Can't wait to return again!!!

We stayed at this unit March 26th to April 9th, 2011. This is the second time renting from Robert once in 2007 at another unit and now in 2011 at Pelican Watch. The photos accurately displayed the appearance of both the units. We appreciated the advice of a better view from this unit as our weather was not the greatest the 1st part of our holiday and we were able to sit inside and have a clear view of the beach. Robert was very helpful in advising where to find locations to fufill our different needs while there. We enjoyed eating at different restaurants but the Sea Captains is still the best one. This is a comfortable place to stay and would not hesitate to recommend to friends or relatives.

Since we found this beautiful condo we won't stay anyplace else while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. We even stayed here with only two of us although there is room to sleep 8. It's ocean front location provides a great view of the whole beach looking North or South. It is close to many good restaurants or if you prefer to cook yourself it's very close to grocery stores. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a quick lunch to a fancy dinner. We even found aluminum foil in the kitchen cupboard which was great to wrap up leftovers in.

Four girls visited mid October and loved the condo. We have been visiting the Myrtle Beach area forever and this is one of the best locations on the Grand Strand. This is also one of the best condos in this location! Beach front, great view, comfortable furnishings, loved the screened porch, convenient elevator and very convenient to Ocean Annie's and other great places to eat and have fun! Little or no driving or short cab rides. It's great. Condo is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Loved having 2.5 baths with four girls!!! We will be visiting this condo again!

We stayed at one of the owner's other units before and really loved the condo but this one exceeded our expectations. It is an end unit so you have an unobstructed view of the entire beach from either balcony. One side looks over the pool so you can keep an eye on the kids from your balcony. The beds were very comfortable and having 2-1/2 baths makes it whole lot easier with four teenagers. I would highly recommend this condo!

We are frequent visitors of the Gulf Coast, but, with the oil spill, we switched our plans and made our first visit to Myrtle Beach, SC. We loved the condo. It was in a good location for grocery store, shopping, restaurants, and the like. We loved waking to the waves and going to sleep to the waves! The condo was perfect for our set up of 4 adults and 2 tweens. We had 2 more adults join us for 2 nights, and it was a little cozy then. We did breakfast and lunch in---the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable too! It was great having the porch area for storing beach gear. We had fresh towels each day because of the full-size washer and dryer. Having the pool and beach right at your door was awesome. It was nice being in a smaller community. Although many beach goers would mark their spots early with umbrellas and the like, we never had a problem finding a perfect spot for ourselves. Will definitely consider a return visit to this same location!

Pelican's Watch is very convenient to everything, But off the busy street. We had plenty of room for everyone. Enjoyed the oceanview from Master bedroom & Living Room....The condo was stocked with plenty of cookware & dishes. We hope to stay here again..

Our group (of 4) was very impressed with this condo. We have stayed in MANY over the last 11 years of coming to Myrtle Beach this week in May and this was one of the very best. We really liked that the second and third bedroom had queen size beds. The decor was very tasteful, the condo was very clean, and the view (since it is an end unit) was beautiful. The view from the living room and screened porch was great! Also, the location is very convenient to walking to bars, food establishments and entertainment. We will be back to this place!
