A description of Unit 408:
Newly Renovated -September 2011! Kitchen has beautiful cherry cabinetry,
granite island and counter tops, stainless steel appliances and direct gulf view
from the kitchen..
This beautiful fourth floor corner unit has a direct beach front view from the
living room, master bedroom, and kitchen. The 34 ft balcony with a full length,
glass rail features spectacular views of the Gulf, the heated swimming pool and
the white sand beach. The second bedroom has a window that is beach front.
Wake up to the sound of the waves from your king size bed in the master suite.
The living room has a large HD TV, DVD player, and a sleeper sofa. There are
TV's in both bedrooms. One bedroom has a VCR. Both the living room and
the master bedroom have sliding glass doors to the balcony.
Our condo has a Tommy Bahama theme and is completely furnished with
bedding, linens, kitchen utensils and cookware. We have WI-FI access,
on-site management, elevators and laundry facilities. We are located across
the street within easy walking distance to the Publix supermarket, tennis courts,
restaurants and shops.
The Beachcomber is a well-maintained, six-story condo building located
right on the beach. There is a beautiful heated pool directly on the beach
with gulf views. Our on-site managers are here to make your vacation
stress-free. We take great pride in how many guests return year after year.
You can drive five minutes to the famous St. Armand’s circle which is known
for its fine dining, upscale shopping and exciting nightlife.
Downtown Sarasota is 10 minutes away. Enjoy live theater, restaurants,
shops and the Palm Avenue art galleries.
Enjoy a cocktail or have a quiet dinner on your balcony while enjoying the sunset.

The condo itself is absolute beautiful. It was very well appointed, recently renovated and had everything we needed and more! The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels were very high quality, the flat screen TV's were great. The high speed internet and the cable both worked just as well as at home. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and we could see the ocean from every room in the condo! We have nothing but great things to say about this unit. The beach was beautiful, even though we were there during Tropical Storm Lee and Tropical Storm Neal. The beach is a treasure trove for people who like to collect shells. The pool is very small but was clean and comfortable and offered a great view of the beach. The common areas of the lobby/den, laundry room, rest rooms, elevator, and parking lot were always clean and maintained very well. The only suggestion we would have for the property is to improve the lighting at the entrance; it is difficult to see the entrance in the dark. We did not have much interaction with the on-site management, but when we did speak to Cindy in the office, she was wonderful. Donna and Steve were out of town the week we were visiting, but other guests that we met who had been there before were most complimentary of Donna and Steve. The property is located across the street from Publix and CVS, which is very convenient. We had never been to Longboat Key before. We were disappointed that so many restaurants were closed while we were there; apparently September is the time when the local merchants take their vacation. We did enjoy The Lazy Lobster and Sand Bar in Anna Maria Island. We also drove 45 minutes to the outlets when we were hit with a rainy day. You need to have a car in Longboat Key. You never know what you are going to get when booking a condo on line. This unit was better than we expected and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway

We have stayed in Longboat Key many times. This condo had the best Gulf view we have ever had. Sitting on the veranda looking at the beach was mesmerizing. We could not tear ourselves away; we hated to leave the view.
